Save: [roll0]
and of course copy/paste won't work properly, so here we go again with the rolling:
[roll0]
You find that your hand is stuck to the rod, and that you cannot move the rod itself.
I give it a few (presumably) pointless tugs.
"Uh, guys, we have a problem. This isn't a lever... and I can't let go."
"well this could be quite bad"
whats the bar made of?
The rock in front of Aalem phases out of existence, and two hideous, bloated zombies grapple Aalem to the floor. He struggles to reach his hands up towards them, but they've been pinned to the ground under their sheer bulk.
Two more zombies enter the room, followed by a man in a dirty white robe with an iron mask covering most of his face. Wheezing, he weekly points towards Aalem and says in Common:
"Drag the kitty into the back room, pets..."
"...oh."
Initiative: [roll0]
(I just assume this will be needed)
Yes, so Lothbrok, please roll Initiative as well
assuming you want intiative
[roll0]
So first up is Ignus, then Lothbrok, then Aalem, then the Necromancer, then the zombies...
"Kwaiit, get down this hole and see what you can do!"
Draconic:
SpoilerAalem! hold on!
"TIRE."
Crunch:
SpoilerI cast Power Word: Fatigue against the necromancer. He is now fatigued for [roll0] rounds, minutes, or hours depending on his HP at this point in time. (refer to the SRD for HP levels and effects of fatigue)
"this must be my lucky day" i use m breath weapon directed on the necromancer and zombies not grappling aalem (60ft cone of sonic)
[roll0]
i ready my axe and move inbetween ignus an our foes
"i warn you once, release my companion or you will die. and it will not be quick."
no, it's standard. you can move in, but not charge
Both of the two zombies and the robed one are knocked back against the wall, the zombies completely crushed by your cries while the robed one lies on the ground unconscious.
im assuming they dont get a turn?
Aalem attempts to shake off the zombies but finds that he is unable to. Obeying their previous commands, they attempt to drag him up to an iron door that has been opened where the rock once was. It appears to lead into a tunnel that proceeds downward, but you cannot see any more from here. They manage to make it 10 feet past the door into the tunnel...
Ignus, it is your turn.
I'll Try again to yank the bar free.
Strength check: [roll0]
"Ulrik, go after Aalem!"
"way ahead of you!" I roar as i charge the zombies
attack
[roll0]
damage
[roll1]
One of the zombies is pounded into mulch by your blows. The other ignores you, but with one hand freed, Aalem reaches into the face of the other, discharging a sonic burst that splatters the zombie's head all over Ulrik's front.
looking down at my front "i take it we're even then" i say with a grin
i take the ropeand assuming masked one is still unconcious i tie him up as tightly as possible but first i break both his wristsin my bare hands (and since my str score is on par with some adult dragons this isnt an issue)
He is unconscious, so all of that occurs as stated. Also, everyone take 300 XP for the events so far.
Ok. Between the thread switch and how late it was when we went through this, a quick reference for our current situation: we have left the shocking shelter and chased a man to this cave.
We're in a gory necromancer cave, one human possibly alive and definitely unconscious, bound, and with broken wrists. a large iron door is open, unexplored. my hand is stuck to a rod in a recess in a wall, a situation Kwaiit is trying to fix. Aalem and Ulrik are both covered in zombie goo, Aalem looking a little shaken for his trouble. With that, it's bedtime.
I ask Kwaiit for a progress update.
i check to make sure he is in fact alive
Ulrik, the robed one, assuming that that is who you mean, is alive and unconscious.
Ignus, after some searching, Kwaiit finds a button on the rod and presses it, releasing the rod from its current position. You are now free to move around, but your hand is still bound to the rod.
I experiment a bit with the rod, moving it around and pressing the button to see what happens.
also, I make a check to see what's binding me to the rod:
Craft(alchemy):[roll0](If it's the effect of some substance)
Spellcraft:[roll1](If it's the effect of a spell)
Knowledge(Arcana):[roll2](If it's part of the item's effect*)
*does not actually identify the item; only identify scrolls or bardic knowledge can do that beyond doubt
"well if your almost done admiring your new jewelery, what should we do with this one?" i say giving the robed one a sharp jerk
Whenever you press the button, the rod becomes stuck in whatever position you had it in and you cannot move your hand.
You find that a layer of a glue-like substance is what's binding your hand to the rod.
in case i missed earlier i gag the robed one with a strip from my "uniform"
