Omnomnom Super Mushroom! Eating the Super Mushroom will cause the sliver to double in size until it is injured. Or it'll go on a bad trip. One of those things.
Speaking of Yellow, he swallows the hilariously large mouthful of mushroom and silver without much trouble! Though no egg results. Rather, this creature is being used to fuel the yoshi's Seismic abilities! With one hand he'll yank the tail off his neck and pant for breath. Woo! That was close! Hearing the Chomp he gives a shrill whistle to get the critter's attention.
But now the other bugs are leaping at him again. Swell. Though at least this time Yellow sees them coming. This time around Yellow doesn't dodge. Instead he drops to one knee and SLAMS his fist into the sand!
*kaTHOOOM!*
A seismic shock-wave rocks the beach, sending a concussive blast of force and blinding sand rushing away from the yoshi. When the dust settles he'll be kneeling in a three foot deep sand pit some distance across. If the slivers aren't knocked back Yellow will have a few more nasty gashes to show for his effort.
The Chomp, meanwhile, will gnaw on the double until it vanishes! And once it vanishes- op! Yellow is whistling! With a rather loud "Arf arf!" it goes bounding over toward the yoshi! It'll go bouncing right into the pit and stop at Yellow's side.

"Fine. After all, there's enough room here."
Gordon focuses, and switchs into his dragon form. Standing about twenty feet tall from his claws to the top of his head, Gordon's scales are a deep azure blue, with a faint red glow between them. He lowers his head to look closer at the creature.

The woman raises her armored shoulder to intercept the dagger, protecting her face, and Michicora will notice that it leaves her guard down for just a moment when added onto the fact that she has to stop her lunge suddenly. While her front is still guarded, her back, especially that of her left leg, is exposed. If Michicora can get past her armor, it'd be the opportune moment to strike.

The brothers dig their claws into the hillside, barely able to keep a hold of it. When the wind stops, the two spring up before trying to leap onto the massive thing's foot. With any luck, the spear will have punctured deep enough for the barbs to get a grip, allowing the brothers to grab it and climb up.

Beach
The shockwave diverts the two leaping slivers enough that they pass around the yoshi, rather than flying away comically because physics doesn't usually work that way. Still, it neatly blocks their attack this time.
When the Chain-Chomp runs after the yoshi's call, the wooden sliver is on it immediately, trying to pin it to the ground with a claw shoved through the chain. Oddly enough it should be more than strong enough for this, possibly due to all those glowing mushrooms on its skin.
Oh, and being twice its normal size helps.
-
Re: [Nexus] The Hunting Grounds
[Beach]
Physics TOTALLY works that way! It's just that the amount of force required to not only stop the sliver's jump but also reverse their direction is pretty darn significant.
Anywho!
The chomp gets pinned! It quickly doubles back on its chain and attempts to bite the sliver! Rawr! Keep in mind that any significant injury will dispel the effect of the Super Mushroom...
As for Yellow...
Time to make the apparent healer go away.
With a "bNOM!" Yellow lashes his tongue out at the the oily sliver, aiming to tightly wrap the creature in the muscular appendage before jerking it back toward his waiting mouth! Hopefully the creature will be dazed enough from the shockwave to have trouble dodging.
-
Re: [Nexus] The Hunting Grounds
Beach
Yellow can be hopeful all he likes, but it looks like it pays off this time as he just barely manages to catch the end of the oily sliver's tail. However as it's drawn back towards his mouth, it hardly seems dazed at all. Whipping around and curling upwards, it lashes out with its scythe claw one last time, aiming directly for the yoshi's right eye with a gouging stab.
The waxy one stays back, having taken more of a beating from the shockwave and waving back and forth uncertainly as it clears its head.
Meanwhile the wooden one flicks its scythe upwards and to the side, trying to fling the Chain-Chomp by its chain into the briney depths of the ocean. If that doesn't work it will take a hit to the torso and deflate, letting go of Chompy as the mushrooms over its form double up and the waxy substance seals the wound behind it.

He certainly does! Mercutio's gaze falls on Thenadier, and a frown creases his face. Not another hunter. Was it too much to ask for just another creature to study?
Oh well. Might as well make the best of the situation. Mercutio doesn't activate his tattoos just yet - he approaches the other hunter unarmed for now. With Thenadier's focus on the far-off dragon fight, he probably won't see the devil.
However, Thenadier might notice it getting a little darker as a cluster of clouds cross over the sun. Despite the fact that they're quite dark and heavy looking, they seem to be the only clouds in the sky. There's about four of them. And aww, they all look like fluffy little sheep. =3
And they're getting bigger, too. Much bigger. It's hard to tell if they're growing or falling - clouds are freaking huge, man. As they get larger, a light hail begins to start falling on and around Thenadier.

And there goes the healer! Now all the yoshi has to deal with is the facial trauma, neck wounds, and oh right those two other slivers.
One of which might be significantly more trouble than the other. The fungus-covered wooden sliver is currently fairly massive at 13 feet long, and all those little mushroom growths are giving off radiation that pushes its muscles past their limits.
So it's going to use this newfound mass to slither back over to the yoshi and lash out at its nose with a much larger claw. bNOM this you crazy eating machine!
The waxy one shakes off its wooziness, but stays back for now, not wanting to get in the way.

Suffice to say that when Yellow starts flailing his arms and legs to maintain altitude he should be able to clear the wooden sliver and then some!

From afar both may note the earth braking like something is digging it's way trough the ground, which is in fact the case. Tovpir normally doesn't hunt humans. He sensed something big there and thought it's worth a fight. hopefully he can reach the place unnoticed.

"Yeah, I'll have a couple of my summoned pals cut my half of the crab meat and drag it to Mallside. From what I heard Crab meat from big guys like this don't spoil easy."
Grantz is busy talking with his companion and does not notice whatever was approaching. none of his demons are out so no one can alert Grantz of what was approaching.
-
Re: [Nexus] The Hunting Grounds
Actually, I like [Mountain Path]
Tovpir, should he manage to kill (or at least take a bite from) Adir, will find his meat to be much more desirable than that of a human.
Adir hears the rumbling, and gives a glance up small slope that leads into the canyon walls. However, Tovpir's meandering could just as easily be a residual rockslide from Adir's work with the C4, so he returns his attention to Grantz.
"I'm sure somebody'll take it. I know I would. I'd bring this home, if my wife weren't vegetarian," He looks at the meat and ponders. "Actually, I might take it home anyway."
-
Re: [Nexus] The Hunting Grounds
[Mountain Path]
Tovpir will go reach the ground under them. There he needs to wait first. He can't fins out their position if they don't move. Still can't see through the ground.
-
Re: [Nexus] The Hunting Grounds
[Mountain Path] it is then.
Grantz stands up and moves to the Shen Gaoren's corpse. A number of his demons pop up and takes parts of the Shen Gaoren's meat with the carapace that is Grantz half. The Demons leave quickly, heading home.
"Well there goes my half, how do you plan on bringing home yours?"
Grantz still hasn't noticed anything.

Re: [Nexus] The Hunting Grounds
Mountain Path
"Probly bring my truck up here, get the brain in the bed somehow," Adir says. That's gonna be a gross job. But hey, there's money in it.
Tovpir shouldn't notice much from Adir, besides the movements of the arm and mouth that it takes to eat cooked crab.
-
Re: [Nexus] The Hunting Grounds
[Mountain Path]
Tovpir will move under Grantz then. Waiting a moment before he strikes.
The Grantz should notice something odd, because the earth breakes and a blue Gemstone spike, attached to some odd looking violet stone pops out of the ground under him aiming for his torso.

Re: [Nexus] The Hunting Grounds
[Mountain Path]
Grantz curiosity slowed him down, he looked at it curiously before deciding to back off. Grantz casts "Agilao", a medium fire spell to blast him off backward before the spike hit him. Needless to say, even with Grantz affinity to fire, that hurt. He manages to land on his feet a few paces away.

Looks like he's going to have some competition. Even though the yoshi successfully vaults over the wooden sliver, which swiftly changes direction in response and begins racing after his heels, the waxy sliver notices his destination and hurries after the inventory items as well. It should be closer, and if it makes it there first it will gobble up the first thing it sees, which happens to be the little berry. It probably couldn't fit the watermelon whole into its mouth anyway.
The wooden one is close on the yoshi's heels, but unable to make a swing at him and keep up for now.
