I guess Tempora made her save vs use benign transposition.
Re: Planetouched play D&D
Just decided to start reading this, went back to the links in the first post to get my chronology oriented after reading straight down for a while (I found the "early installment weirdness/interquel/chapter 2" quite important for contextualizing characters from shows I haven't seen, and really there's plenty of continuity that started there-would have been better if I'd followed the links to start), noticed the link for chapter 4 is the same as the link for chapter 3 with both leading to post #2. I believe chapter 4 is post #3 unless I've become sorely confused. No idea what "Lug" is but I assume it's from wherever that was originally posted and won't come up again so missing the joke's fine.
Re: Planetouched play D&D
Thanks, I'll fix that link up. The misplaced "Chapter 2" is REALLY annoying. The problem is the thread was started before continuity became important.
I still don't know who "Lug" is. Neither do the characters. He was some forum in-joke that I wasn't a party to. At that point the characters were still commenting on the activity of other posters, so the first few panels of every strip are usually something about that.
Spoiler: I don't think Conrad knows what a Stamen is. He just likes the word.

...Dammit, the logic is inescapable.
Re: Planetouched play D&D
You know what's bothering me?
It's not been clarified how much older Lily is than Sarissa, but apparently she was still a teenager when Sarissa was twelve, so no more than seven years.
Lily left home when Sarissa was quite a small child.
It's strongly implied that a reason Lily left home was that their parents disapproved of her carrying on with the local boys and girls.
Anyway, put it all together, it appears that both Lily and Sarissa became sexually active at a precociously young age. No more than 12 or 13.
Anyway, this is not going to be a theme we're going to explore. It's simply the result of me not thinking about the numbers when I wrote things. In particular, "badass teenager" was a better phrase than "Badass twentysomething" or whatever.
Re: Planetouched play D&D
For those that are wondering, Lug is an in-joke on some of our previous threads that comes up from time to time.
I think it started in the GitP Regulars as NPC's thread that someone came up with the idea that there needed to be a background NPC who dispensed advice and Lug the Half-Orc janitor was born. Lug's talents include sweeping, mopping, restocking the bathrooms, and dispensing invaluable advice to those who need assistance. He eventually showed up in later GitP Regulars as... threads until he had his own wondrous items and other stuff.
We all love Lug. He's the NPC we never had in our games but makes the world better anyway. And his skills with a mop are almost legendary.

Oh well, someone who did a technically demanding job under homicidally psychotic superiors during a war that killed three billion people can't be totally inept.

And I am now up to current, the binge is over but I get to appreciate the newness of releases. I've also been going archive crazy on all sorts of things and seeing's how it's all made of links to the image hosts which I tend not to trust (accounts get lost, files deleted, etc), I was wondering if there's a downloadable version? I could just use my image grabber plugin but I'd have to be careful in order to make sure it got them in the right order since the imagehosts scrub filenames into gibberish even if they start out numbered. Also figured it might be polite to mention/ask in case you don't want people keeping their own copies.

Re: Planetouched play D&D
Um, yeah. Sorry. This is all I've got. In fact, you've made me a bit paranoid about the way the whole thing is scattered on my harddrive in different folders with assorted random names. Because I started with numbering them but decided it just seemed pretentious, and then by the time I realised a little pretension wasn't the worst of ideas there was already so much to do.
I've no problem with people copying the stuff. I don't own any of the artwork anyway. All that's mine is the writing.
And Illyahr, that's mean. Stop it.
