I loved the continuity nods. Overall it was pretty alright. I feel Featherweight should've gotten a comeuppance. I think everyone was unnecessarily mean to the three little fillies.

I wouldn't call it best episode ever, but it was solid. The story worked well throughout and left me satisfied and feeling fairly happy.
Note in particular that Rarity was nice. She explained what happened to Sweetie Belle and emphasized that the important thing was that they knew they were hurting others and needed to stop. I thought Applejack and Big Macintosh were out of character for being that cold rather than explaining things to Applebloom, but maybe they thought she should have known better? Rainbow and Twilight I found entirely in character.

Eh. A Cutie Mark Crusaders episode with a plot that you see in just about every kids' cartoon ever. Not a fan. Had a few good moments (AJ going "yep" and "nope" while Big Macintosh got some actual lines was a nice one, for instance), but that's about it. Though I guess it wasn't annoying the way the Crusaders' episodes often are, aside from the nagging sense that I've seen this exact plot on dozens of other cartoons before.

Clearly somebrony provided insider info for this event, and that makes you the Usual Suspect of modguin of ponythread and ponychat.

Don't worry ponies are there too. They bring happiness and muffins.

You do know 'plot' isn't actually a term for 'pony butt' right? That just arose from that joke about article reading and a motivational poster...

Good, cause that would have given Plot Hole an entirely new meaning.

http://i.imgur.com/r63WE.png Actually... the word "plot" in the vernacular derives from an Old Equestrian phrase that in translation was render "plot ones own space" to refer to sitting down and that shifted in the Post Classical Period to refer to one's flank.

Re: My Little Pony XL: The Plot Thickens!
Guys. It's ponyland day. Count to 50: Ponies vs Non-ponies is at a near-stalemate. Non-ponies have won twice, but ponies have never won.
We must fix this.

Re: My Little Pony XL: The Plot Thickens!
Okay, so Tara Strong at ComiCon was a disaster. Here's my list of problems:
1. There was one hour to get autographs. ONE BLOODY HOUR. :smallfurious:
2. You're supposed to get in, compliment the show, get the autograph, and leave. NOT TELL YOUR STUPID LIFE STORY THAT NOBODY CARES ABOUT. :smallfurious:
3. No celebrity who doesn't know you personally cares about your feelings. They don't care about you as a person, they care about your money; they're doing it for publicity. If you do anything else, you're wasting their, and plenty of other people's time.
As a result, maybe twenty signatures were handed out. Tara Strong does not care about your feelings, she cares about PR. I just wanted her autograph for a friend, and if I could, you guys to put on the thread.
I'm sorry. I tried.

So can we give the Rich a special exception to the no-alicorn original ponies rule or must we shun him as an obvious Mary Sue character?

I think the only other webcomic that comes close to the quality of OOTS is xkcd. And by "close", I mean "OOTS is a million leagues ahead of xkcd".

Perhaps call it... the Lauren Rule: Those who have created great and joyful artistic works that have become worlds onto themselves may manifest as alicorns?

Hey, there's still two time slots tomorrow, right? ECCC's website shows a signing tomorrow at 11:30 AM and one at 3:00 PM.
Plus, there's a whole convention there with gaming and awesome webcomics selling stuff!

And this is why Twilight makes the best fact-checker.

Sorry things didn't turn out so well. Here's hoping you can get a chance tomorrow, like Gadora said.
New Episode thoughts:

Really solid, well-paced episode. I was hoping they would call DT's bluff at the end, and publish their own humiliating stories along with the letter. Also, it felt like they crammed a lot of plot into one episode, without it feeling horribly rushed. I just kept glancing at clock, wondering if this was a double-length episode or something.
All in all, thoroughly enjoyable.
I'd have more to say, but starting to crash after a long day. Oof.

Actually, Leeroy Wingkins in the Playground came from me, a non-watcher (in fact, almost all of the titles were from me looking up wikis).

I can't go tomorrow. I paid for four people, for one day. I was going to do all three days, but I wanted to go with friends.

I stand corrected, my compliments on doing this more throughly then I expect.
Was Twilight Sparkle replacing Troll intentional irony as well, or is that too inside a joke?

Okay guys, I GOT this!
I'm actually twitching with excitement right now. Between this, the sheer amount of caffeine, and what has just transpired with my office's march maddness bracket, I don't know if I'll be able to sleep tonight. Is it bad that I'm using ponies to try and calm myself down? Because I think it is I'm not sure.
