Sunny frowns. She doesn't dislike magic, but her professional pride is a bit miffed that she can't figure out a way to engineer a solution. She rubs the iron ring that she wears on the pinky of her right hand. "The engines will be in place in 36 hours." Of course that meant jackhammers going around the clock until then.
Gate
"That sounds odd painfull. But I'm ready. Doesn't a mindrip make me insane, well I mean there is a real chance right?"
He seems a bit nervous about that fact not the things at all just the one he mentioned.
"Oh what will happen if they release me as a mole and I managed to escape."
Courtyard
The bugs will have a bit more of a difficult time stitching him up than a normal human, but that's just because his scales resist most efforts t pierce them. Still stitches won't be impossible, and if they are going to work on his other injuries as well somehow he's got the bruise on his stomach and a few pulled muscles in his arms and legs.
"Wiry little guy. I didn't get a good look at his face because of the fake blood though. At the time he was wearing jeans, a tee-shirt and a red fall jacket. The trap he set was unfortunately quite good."
"Posing as someone injured by looters, he looked like he'd taken a few gunshots and was bleeding all over the place. When I asked him who he was, He said his name was Nero, and later confirmed while we were fighting that it was short for Neurosis. He told me there was a hospital nearby, and that he could point out a shortcut through a park, which I took. He exploded into a fog cloud in my arms. Vines started reaching up from the ground and a pair of trees started assaulting me while Nero himself was throwing daggers." He motions to the bruise on his stomach when he mentions the tree, and the gash on his arm when he mentions the daggers, "Strong sucker for such a skinny frame."
"Anyways, after I dealt with the trees, the vines pulled me down into a pit and tried to strangle me. I probably would have died if this creature called Stheno hadn't come to my rescue. If he can set up an ambush for a single person, this Nero guy is going to get quite a few murders under his belt."
Gate
"It is painful. Very. And there's always a risk of something going wrong. Even so, it's going to take a while to set one up."

Bugs, is the nickname of an older man, now in the white, gold, and purple version of the older black Mortal Coil suit, and is the Head Medic.
"Very well. We'll keep an eye out for him and send out a general warning to the public. Is there anything else?"
Work Shop
A few moments later, a trooper who had been on the wall during the attack enters cautiously, looking for Sunny with a small box under his arm. He looks rather nervous.
Work Shop
Sunny is there working intently on a large piece of machinery. Five other robots are working intently on identical machinery, perfectly choreographed.
Courtyard
Harnel shakes his head "Not that I can think of. I am curious as to how the other organizations are taking all this though."
Well, the last post for how bugs should be able to treat him doesn't change much from last time :smalltongue:
Work Shop
The soldier will approach Sunny nervously. "Um...Sai-*cough* Ms. Evans? Um...a bunch of us started a pool and decided that...um, you deserve this for saving us."
Courtyard
"Amazingly well actually. Even AMEN. They did exactly as expected." Vasquez tells him. Bugs' equipment is much sharper and stronger than anything commercially available.
Workshop
The robots fall still, and Sunny looks up with a weak smile. The circles around her eyes are even darker than before. "You're the brave ones," she says. "I just make machines."
Courtyard
Harnel thinks for a moment, "I thought they were the aggressors. What is it that they did that you're so happy to have expected?"
Bugs should have no trouble then. Harnel doesn't even flinch when bugs sets to work
Workshop
"We're....we're sorry about Carl." The man kneels before who many of the men are calling Saint, and offers her the box, head bowed in respect.
Courtyard
"They attacked." She says with a shrug. "And we got Gordon to finally understand a few things."
Work Shop
Sunny swallows past the sudden lump in her throat, and opens the box.
Courtyard
Harnel nods. He knew Gordon was the leader of AMEN, so that meant Vasquez had probably spoken to him as a prisoner. If he agreed to terms, then she would have let him go with the knowledge that he was doing what she wanted. clever.
"Something else that occurred to me. Most of the people from WATCHTOWER, while there isn't very many of us, are rather high power. I was wondering if we might set up a system where we can warn each other about threats, maybe get help from each other if the situation is dire enough. We might have been able to help with this latest disaster."
Workshop
Inside the box is a sheet of silver silk, wrapped around an object. Presumably she unwraps it. Inside, is a fair sized hammer, one that she'll recognize as an Engineer's Hammer. It has a beautifully polished orange persimmon wood handle, and a black iron sledge. The entire thing was acid etched, depicting a pictographic tail of what happened on the wall in a Celtic style. At the bottom of the handle is an image of Sunny with a ring of light around her. Thin whip like tendrils crawl from the ring up to the head, reaching towards robotic figures on top of a simple wall made of lines. The robots have their arms spread, and the same design of light reaches out from them in waves, protecting the hiding soldiers from what can only be described as a wave of fire washing over the walls.
It's magical as well, but it's likely she won't be able to tell.
The soldier stays silent, worried about what she'll say.
Courtyard
"We have already spoken to Watch, and it's by my understanding, that they'll be sending someone to meet with us soon. Though, my guess is someone other than you."
EDIT: @V: :smalltongue:
((probably a good guess, seeing as Harnel's not from AMEN :smalltongue:))
Courtyard
Harnel chuckles, "Heh, yeah, I don't look much like a diplomat right now do I? I should probably get some more flame resistant clothes." he makes a short bow, smiling, "Thank you for your time. I should probably go find the rest of my group."
And unless Vasquez has more for him, Harnel is going to go off towards the blue zone, where a quick and sensible retcon involving plotclones will allow me to proceed with armor into the yellow zone
Workshop
Sunny gasps, tracing her fingers reverently over the beautiful workmanship. She's stunned speechless, but the soldier should be able to tell that it's not in a bad way.
Workshop
The man looks up to her, a bit concerned still, even though he knows she likes it. "It...it'll help you repair whatever you use it on."
Courtyard
Harnel is let out of the HQ.
Workshop
"It's beautiful," Sunny says, blinking a bit. "But... you're the brave ones. I should thank you. Everyone should." She runs her fingers over the hammer again. "I just make machines."
[Command Tent]
" Whatever means would be simplest to you. If you wish I could prepare you some scrolls of sending or perhaps you have some technological device to reach me. Again, whatever is easiest. " The assassin responds to Vasquez. " If you wish, whatever it is you use to generally contact your stealth teams would be just fine with me. " Seems like Teb is just throwing out ideas to Vasquez. He doesn't really care it seems how she contacts him.
Workshop
Sunny doesn't know what to say. So she picks up the hammer, feeling its weight in her hands. Good tools are so important, and she lost many of them when her factory was destroyed.
Finally she just says, "Thank you."
[Courtyard]
Now that the other disturbance is gone, Feia make a slight position adjustment.
Perhaps to remind Vasquez that she exists.
"Now...I believe I made an arrangement as to request inclusion to your security detail."
Courtyard
"I know. You can speak to Edijar about the details of it." She says, gesturing at the bronze armored man at the command tent.
Command Tent
Her plotclone tosses Teb a commlink. "It'll beep when I need to contact you."
Thank you. TED says, before his eye stops flickering, and a panel opens up on his chest.
That was thoughtful of him. Now all Geoff has to do is crawl inside TED and start... Oh yeah. Geoff isn't a gremlin.
Well, it might be a bit more difficult for him then. He can certainly start on the power-supply and the shield generator, which the opening of the panel provides decent access to.
However the lasers might provide more of a problem. Might have to pry off a plate from each of his arms.
Work Shop
The soldier will stand and give her a bow, and unless stopped, will quickly leave, hoping he didn't mess it up.
Robot
Even with his thick arms, he's rather dextrous when it comes to repairing things, so he should be able to reach inside without a problem. To repair the lasers though, he'll probably take off the panels unless another way presents itself.
Robot
Grimzig and a couple of other goblins gather around, watching Geoff work - unobtrusively, surprisingly enough.
[Courtyard -> Command Tent]
"Very well, then. Good luck."
The good luck could be referring to any number of things that Vasquez has to deal with at the moment.
But Feia doesn't feel like elaborating, instead moving off to the indicated direction towards Edijar.
Command Tent
Teb bows and exits the command tent for now.
Gate
"Isn't there some ainless way I mean I got enougth time and such, but if you make something to me they will notice it. You hear that noone asks for so I got enougth time without looking suspect."
Well he reacts normal, asuming the fact that people most time of there live won't be the target of painful things.
