Naturally you would update the instant I got back to university from catching up to a cliffhanger. :smallsigh:
Anyway, I'm starting to like Jaques' team.

Sweet. And as for the stylized labrynthine walls every Codex has that symbol on the top.
Oooh, so THAT is what the that was.
Well, maybe people can control/influence/abuse the spirit of the lexicon if they hold it, so an awesomely powerful page looks after the lexicons of dead orders?
5 bucks it's not talking about Raoul.
...Cute Bruisers rock. XDDD
Or they want to present the codex to people who would ally with them, increasing the resources on their side. Eventually a codex would probably find someone they like among your friends. That makes you stronger.
It's a long shot for a codex that hasn't selected someone in decades but if you don't know how long it's been you'll want as much power on your side as possible.
"When the guy upstairs talks, people listen even if they're on fire."
In this case, the guy upstairs is a book.
Can I quote that?Quote:

Minotaurs are not specifically associated with loss of arms, though. Mythologically speaking, other than the obvious (labyrinth, curse, hidden shame, etc.), they're tied to the Sun (bulls were solar animals in Mediterranean symbolism, and Pasiphaë was herself a daughter of Helios) and the Sea (the White Bull having been sent by Poseidon).
Hell yes! So psyched! Can't wait to see what Raoul's gonna do! Battle alongside Ben? Be the rogue counterpart and explore the darker side of the world of pages? No idea! But it's gonna be epic! Official Team Raoul Member!
Bah, be realistic.
Gorgon would be the sacrifice of beauty like the actual gorgon sisters.
No, because people who aren't awakened can't see the supernatural effects of being a page. For example how Raoul couldn't tell that guy had a skeletal arm till he awakened.
It could easily be some non physical change though, like how the lunar codex can't touch silver (and suffers unknown consequences if they do). Might be an aversion to having their head cut off, for example.
Owrtho
I sense a plotline in which both Raoul and Ben try to hid the fact that they're pages from each other.
Ben is not a Page. He's well on his way to becoming a librarian.
That's Yuan-Ti or Naga. Gorgons didn't have any snake parts but the hair in Greek mythology.
The thing you have to give up might be looking directly at people and baldness when dealing with humans (they can't see your snake hair and hair is not as necessary as arms) :smalltongue:
