Melk
"[Giant]Should we investigate the flash?[/Giant]'
Melk points out the obvious flash in the town. He's had experience fighting magic users, so he knows flashes of light are never a good sign. Though it could also be a magical beast.
This town is very strange, Melk wonders to himself.

I thought there was something wrong there...not only would we have shot up 7 levels in the process, we would have also been behind by our WBL by soooo much.

We might as well, Gor replies, holding up the paper he took off the corpse. It's ours after all. He finishes, while a few of his arms busy themselves attaching the scythe to his various weapons belts.

"This ought to be fun. I am sure they will want to bask in my glory. The great Sgrag, coming to take what should rightfully be his," the troll carries on in a baostful manner.

SHIVER
What need of a silly piece of paper do we have to claim a town? And what does this town have that we want?

Gorgos
A troll with loose robes of black comes lumbering toward the group, stretching and yawning. Suddenly, he stops, looking at the remnants of battle. "What did I miss? It looks like a bit of fun. I haven't even had time to meditate for my magic yet today, though. Let me have a bite and a chance to eat something before we wreak more havoc. I do my best havoc on a full stomach, after all."

Gor
None, in truth, but maybe the inhabitants will want our little piece of paper, eh? And the town has townspeople. And townspeople have coin, some anyway, which they'd gladly give over to us for this little piece of paper. he says, waving said paper around. Crushing your enemies into a puddle of gore and slime is good and just, but the people of the town are innocent, like as not, so I'd rather not hurt them I don't have to. A grin suddenly splits his ugly face. But that doesn't mean I can't recognize a business opportunity when I see one. Besides, he continues over his shoulder as he starts toward the town. You can't carry everything with you and one the thing the town certainly has is land. Whether that land is worth having, well, we shall see.

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
SHAKE
Shake has just as doubtful look on her face as Shiver does, but shes interested in checking out whether or not what Gor says is true or not. And if it isnt, well, being in a town gives so many opportunities.

"So, that's no breakfast, then?" Gorgos sighs and shuffles after the others.

"Don't worry, I am sure there will be food there. Although the blind woman disturbs me," Sgrag says as he looks back. "I mean, she cannot see my magnificience!"
Sgrag stands as straight up as he can and struts after the lumbering giants.

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
Gorgos
"Sleeping, of course. I had the last watch last night, remember?" He starts making a series of hand movements and laying a touch on each of the giantkin in turn as he lopes along. Everyone, by now, should be used to this, knowing that it provides protection against his breath attack.

"Fine, get your magic ready. The Stone thinks something doesn't smell right about that woman. We should follow her."
The eagle turns and goes "CAW!"
"No, you are not going to follow her alone."

Dunchard follows the lumbering giants, setting fire to the odd log here and there to try and amuse himself.

No one can see your magnificence when you're with us, little man, for you are constantly in the shadows. Gor teases over his shoulder.

Hearing that Gor brings himself up short. My apologies friends. I guess I am still used to being on my own; I didn't think. You're right, we should discuss our next move, and give time for our friend here to prepare himself. Gor looks genuinely shocked at his own behavior, and a little dismayed that he'd forgotten so easily.

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
"There are more than enough of us. We could always split up. Half to follow the creepy Gebronis, Half to cause trouble with the town of pissants"
The eagle jumps off his shoulder and transforms into a armored gold dragon. Meanwhile, the Stone begins shrinking, until he is only 6'0 and appears human.

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
SHIVER
I dont like the idea of splitting up. Theres strength in numbers and even though we are strong, when everyone is against us, it becomes a nuisance at times.
If you do want to split up, my sister and I will go to the town together.

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
So... your going to the town... as you approach the town you see a wolfman trying to hide and move silently move in away from the center of the town... but, it pays no attention to any of you...it just continues to stare into the center of the town, constantly moving away from the center of the town. You all see something fly 200 feet into the air from approximately where the wolfman was looking...

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
"May the stone make a suggestion? Let us get the jump on this Furry Gebroni, incapacitate him, and try to figure out what is actually going on here. Do you hear what the Stone is saying?"
If there is agreement, the stone makes everyone invisible.

You can see a few people standing around a char mark on the ground... one that looks like the outline of a wolfman... the thing that flu into the air is a humanoid that glows with the intensity of daylight...

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
SHIVER
Shiver unsheathes her sword and steps forward, willfully dispelling the invisibility on her. Despite the fact that she says she doesnt like the common language, she uses it for this time, as she addresses the people standing around.
Attention humans, we are the rightful owners of this town by virtue of this piece of paper. Tell us what is going on now, and be quick about it.

For her part, Shake just moves up and looks menacing, also dispelling her invisibility but lets her sister try her talky-talky stuff first

Jace dispells his flight and falls, casting feather fall at the last second. He then saunters up to the frost giants activating his tongues ability. "My my... is that what passes for courtesy where you're from? Well what more could I expect from savages He takes a disdainful look at the mismatched party. As it just so happens, the villagers gave us this town. That piece of paper means nothing to me.

Jace has a definite draconic cast to his features, as well as..... something otherworldly. In short he is much too gorgeous in an exotic way, to be human. He stands casually, encased in his glowing armour, his dark hair in carefully crafted disarray and his violet eyes slowly taking in his surroundings. Two daggers rotate slowly around him about a foot out from his body.

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
SHIVER
Courtesy is highly over-rated. Ive never had need of it.
And as for the piece of paper, I knew it meant nothing. I merely mentioned it to humour others in my group, who thought it would be important. I dont rely on such things to take what I want.
So I ask once again, what is going on here?
-
Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
That's a dangerous attitude.. One day you're going to bite off a lot more than you can chew...
As for what we're doing? Just clearing out what's ours.
Jace turns to walk away. He says over his shoulder,
Oh, be a doll and deal with this for me
He makes a few quick motions.

Re: Giants a 3.5 experience (IC)
Hallok, the handsome drow in a blood red robe, looks to the giants; suddenly, something seems to change about him, as if his apparent sanity had been no more than a clever guise. Rising about seventy feet into the air, he speaks in a loud but cool tone. We do not desire the aid of your ilk, giant scum; all your kind does is destroy. Consider it generous of me, then, that I give you five seconds to run, before I do to you as I did to that wolfman. Hallok gestures to the outline in the ground. Before giving the giants an opportunity to retreat, he rapidly chants an incantation, and his eyes turn to each of the giants in turn, full of hate, as a dark blue mist emanates from his outstretched hands, wrapping around each of the giants.
