mmm. Well, he's young yet and confused. I'm sure he'll figure it out eventually.
aye, I'm fully aware of that. I've known him longer than I'd like to admit. :smalleek:
that aside, I never heard about the shiny pokemon being worse. maybe they are.
Perhaps it's the 1/8192 chance of them appearing that makes people go ZOMG SHINEY!!!!!11one
I mean, I don't ave any intention of using that Celebi or any of the other pokemon I caught with hacks. I just did it for the lulz and the bragging rights. the team I raised fair and square seems to handle things well enough for me. :smallcool:
and I am going to catch all 386 pokemon* without trading at all. screw trading. [and on a ROM, I don't thik it's possible, and if it is, I believe it's quite hard to "link up"]
*my game is LeafGreen. this is back in those old days where "386" was the limit. :smalltongue:
EDIT: wow. too many footnotes, and too many side notes. I get sidetracked waaaaay too easily hahahaha
and ooo... page 8!

Re: KataraAltinaII's Premature Not So Short & To-The-Point Random Banter #130
Soooo I just got Devil Survivor and Scribblenauts today. Scribblenauts was in my DS for about an hour. I found that Shotgun + Pteranodon solves most problems.
And then Devil Survivor took over... curse my love of SMT
-
Re: KataraAltinaII's Premature Not So Short & To-The-Point Random Banter #130
ah... scribblenauts... haven't played the game myself, but I've been in a chat room where several friends of mine were playing it. the hilarity from the ensuing conversations was legend.
and of course, I once saw a comic where the guy just typed "starite".
I heard that doesn't work though.
EDIT: and it's late. I'm off to bed, and so you all are free from my chaos... until daybreak tomorrow...:smallamused:

It really has been a long time, eh?
I've probably spent more time talking to you online than I've spent sleeping in my whole life... :smallsigh:
If you can read this, something's wrong with you.
Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. Most of it, anyway. :smalltongue:
Now, back to Random Banter...
Who here likes songs that would be totally embarrassing if they admitted it to real life people? :smalltongue:
-
Re: KataraAltinaII's Premature Not So Short & To-The-Point Random Banter #130
-raises hand-
I happen to enjoy listening to that old grou that were popular in the 90's, Aqua.
Also, the Macarena :smalltongue:

Re: KataraAltinaII's Premature Not So Short & To-The-Point Random Banter #130
Hell, naw. I love my songs and would never hesitate to suggest them. Rasputin, Banana Phone, Polite Dance Song, Cohen's Scherzo No. 7, the works!
Ra-ra-rasputin! Lover of the Russian Queen, da da da da da dadadadaaaaaa.
-
Re: KataraAltinaII's Premature Not So Short & To-The-Point Random Banter #130
Aqua! I loved Aqua. Who doesn't secretly enjoy singing along to Barbie Girl?
I love many tacky artists - my iTunes has Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys in amongst the more respectable artists like Rufus Wainwright. I have no shame though. I like singing along to Britney. It's cheerful.
-
Re: KataraAltinaII's Premature Not So Short & To-The-Point Random Banter #130
If I like something I don't tend to be embarrassed when admitting it. I usually just acknowledge that it's silly for me to like it.
-
Re: KataraAltinaII's Premature Not So Short & To-The-Point Random Banter #130
Hmm, that's a tough one. I'm known for my eccentricity. So it's hard for me to think of being embarrassed by recommending music to someone else...
Especially not music I actually like... Probably the most embarrassing would be any video game music.
-
Re: KataraAltinaII's Premature Not So Short & To-The-Point Random Banter #130
How? Why's that embarrassing?
"Oh, hey Coid, watcha listening to?"
"Oh, just the Katamari Damacy theme music."
"Katamari? You sick bastard! What the hell is wrong with you? The King of all Cosmos would be ashamed."
*Phase suddenly breaks through wall, possibly while hollering "Oh Yeah!"*
"Alright, which one of you mother****ers ended a sentence with a preposition?"
*Phase then proceeds to beat Coidzor's friend to death with his bare knives.*

Ra-ra-rasputin! Russia's greatest love machine.
I'll listen to pretty much anything that isn't rap, to be honest. Some of it I like more than others. I'm a big fan of country music. Metal too.
I'm odd.

Re: KataraAltinaII's Premature Not So Short & To-The-Point Random Banter #130
Aqua? The Macarena? I love those!
...And I have been known to sing along to Barbie Girl when alone...
Generally speaking, though, if I like a song, I like a song, screw what others think.
If Barbie Girl were about something asside from, you know... Barbie, I'd be fine with it.
I love songs I can sing along to. (And I actually learned the words to the Macarena. Yeah, that's right, I did that.)

Not even close. (I'll give you one hint: Effigies.) It's a well-timed two-person production, though, I'll grant you that!

Effiigies? As in plural? I don't think I want to know anymore.

...Honest answer or good answer?
Also, the phrase "You snooze, you lose" comes to mind, but I can't see how to work it into what I'm saying, perhaps because I am now operating on -1:20 hours sleep and counting...

Silly Vicky. Silly Sly Vicky.
Oo, the colors are blurring from sleep deprivation and the fact I can't get over this bloody jetlag very well.
I've never heard of the play "Effigies" before, but it sounds like it might be interesting, madame

Anyone else notice that those packets of oatmeal you buy at the store are so big that you cant rip it open beacause its so full?Or is it just me?
-
Re: KataraAltinaII's Premature Not So Short & To-The-Point Random Banter #130
I always ripped them open directly over the bowl. That way I didn't have to worry about it.

Grip the end you open between the pad of your thumb and the side of the forefinger and shake vigourusly. This will settle the contents to the "Bottom" of the packet.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!
No! Please, anything but that!
You have never been at a child's fifth birthday party (and you're the same age) where she insists on playing that song once every four songs.
*twitch*
Never. Again.
But I love corny songs, internet phenomena songs; 'cheesy' songs from the '60s - '80s; songs from films. I have whole music folders devoted to soundtracks, anime and glam rock.
Glam rock is so cheesy and yet so happy and lovely.

*snicker* You should listen to the German cover. I myself don't know a lick of German, but I find it hilarious.

Cover your ears, Koorli, because this is LotR-related: :smallwink:
September 29, 3021 of the Third Age, Frodo sailed for Valinor.
(He first met Aragorn exactly three years earlier in Bree. Coincidence?)

heck, I find Rick Astley's "Never gonna give you up" as catchy.
and if I'm listening to a rocked-out Tetris theme, and someone asks what I'm listening, I'll tell em.

After all, if the like the stuff, but don't tell anyone, how are you supposed to sing along if it comes on somewhere?
