Protection from Heat. :smallamused:

No, lasers burn stuff (really fast) which isn't classified as transmutation, by the way wouldn't transmutation be a mutation? (I've heard the X-gene been mentioned as a transmutation)
That aside; The lasers aren't magical thus spells to protect you against a kind of magic shouldn't work against them

Don't tell me lasers capable of cutting directly through "9 feet of adamantine" in a few second can't surpass that meagre "120 points of damage".

All of the casters combine their strength to cast one extra powerful Protection from Heat.

The power of the laser would still be stronger even if they where given time to research a way to combine the spells. There's also a high probability that the ships have some sort of anti-magic defences, besides the lasers can keep on firing but the mages can't remake the spell that quick (since the spell takes at least 6 seconds to cast then it should be stronger than six seconds of laser fire, which I highly doubt)
And you haven't won yet :smallamused:

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXIV: What is this "Haste" you speak of?
@Megadoomer: That's so petty. You're like Randomizer, always saying your characters a more powerful than everybody else and will challenge everyone who says something to the contrary by adding them additional powers.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXIV: What is this "Haste" you speak of?
Unless the lasers fire at the speed of light (probably, considering that a laser is just condensed light and whatnot) it would be easy to dodge seeing as it goes in a mostly strait line.

All lasers do move at the speed of light. You can't see them before they hit you. :smallconfused:

Er...don't lasers have to fire at the speed of light? :smallconfused:
EDIT: Argh, ninja'd by MM.

Might I counter you argument, MM, by adding that you have made all tajiran ships force which nothing could logically defeat, merely slow down. Now who has gone overboard with powers, eh? :smalltongue:

Can't the other ships in the fleet fill in? The main opponent now is the Citadel anyway. It has the PCs in.

Got me terminology wrong. So the lasers concentrated on each sphere, and ignited the occupants?

They protect against spells, technology is not magic. Very different principles.

It's "Protection from Energy (Fire)", by the way.
And lasers do non-elemental damage according to the DMG, so you're out of luck there.

The ships aren't supposed to be fighted by the PCs, all you need is heavy weapons (like the Citadel) like in real life and he himself blew up their best weaponry.

Actually, several weapons in Star Wars are canonically lasers, not blasters. But as they operate by the same visual effects, so either the galaxy far, far away has different physical laws, or the so called "lasers" are merely blasters with the plasma excited by an internal laser.

If I might so bold as to ask, where the heck are you getting the massive amounts of energy used to power all those laser batteries/turrets?

Don't the Tajira have some nuclear power like stuff not to mention being able to power it themselves?
Oh, and a scientist/alchemist did it :smalltongue:

Here's my rationale:
The lasers are made of energetic light.
The shields are transparent.
Therefore, the shields are allowing light to pass through them.
Since light passes through the shields (Albeit slightly reduced because they aren't fully transparent) the lasers can pass through them as well.

Does that mean invisibility makes you immune to lasers

Depending on how they actually make you invisible (Ie. only if they make you 100% transparent), yes.

Isn't invisibility an illusion ? :smallconfused:
