Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
PbP is like running a class. Sometimes all the kids space out at the same time and you've to ramp it up a notch to keep things moving. If you wait, others start waiting for you, and the people who have been posting will stop because they don't want to flood.
It's like an inverted avalanche. Once things slow down they start slowing down faster and faster. The only thing to do is not slow down just because some people seem to be away with the fairies.
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
Yeah, I understand that.
But for this part right now, I need to know what the majority of you are doing, otherwise certain things that will be coming up will need to be split.
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
Right. I'll have Verossa go drill-sergeant nasty.
Funny she fell so quickly into the NCO role.
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
... I guess what I did counted as splitting the party... and as we all know GM's hate that.
@Malak'ai, how big was the difference between her and the rest of the tent of people, just a little or was it more "Her entire body is magical"? (although for a halfling that wouldn't be too hard :smalltongue:)
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
@D_Man: Her whole body was glowing, and the glow was extending from her up into the tent.
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
Just so long as whoever-this-is doesn't suddenly sprout multiple pairs of wings.
That's never a good sign.
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
@Wordplay: Just to clarify, your little speech to Halabur just now, in plain english, was intended to mean: "I have no doubts that our Illusions will disillusion those who buy into this false truth"?
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
Yep! It's pretty much Clearsight's philosophy and his goal (probably Raif's too).
I must admit, I found the post today a little difficult. Sometimes it's easy to get into character with Clearsight (like when he decided to assume the form of Lord Belkinstair) today, on the other hand, it was hard.
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
So your playing a Cleric with multiple personalities?
This could be fun :belkar:.
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
Let's just say there's a reason I sometimes call him Raif, sometimes Clearsight, and occasionally, Raif Clearsight.
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
Do all his personalities have the same alignment and sexual orientation?
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
on the topic of Raif/Clearsight/Raig Clearsight, can I change my bet for who dies first? :smalltongue:.
And Marlowe. How do you intend to find out?
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
Ok guys, just so we are clear on this, all "naughty times" are going to be 'black curtained', so while you can pile on as much implication as you like/can, the actual 'deed' is not to be shown .
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
No worries. Wasn't going to in the first place.
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
And Verossa doesn't do guys who are shorter than she is. :smallwink:

Oh shoot. Don't blame me if Halabur keeps on trying though. :smallwink:
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
I don't think that "I'm so scared. Please eat me" is going to cut the mustard. Although continue like that and you could have a date with some.
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
It's not quite separate personalities, per se, (though close to it) more like two different persona. So yes, they'd all have the same orientation and alignment.
Totally shipping Halabossa. One permanent enlarge person spell should do the trick.

That's going to be a long hard path to ho.

Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
This is turning out a little like what I was afraid would happen if I'd done a TSAB-inspired campaign back in Blenheim:
"OK, so we're in a highly lawful, verging on regimented, society where everybody is a caster and a high percentage of the officer ranks are females. Who are used to being saluted and obeyed by anyone with a survival instinct. Please place your bets on G's life expectancy now."
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
Who are the high ranking females? The only one I've introduced is the old Human Queen.
Also, not everyone is a caster. Tahlruamy is a Gish, and there's the Halfling woman, but apart from that, you haven't met any others apart from the ones in your party.
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
Sorry, off in my own little world. I was cut off from the interent all yesterday so I've build up a lot of randomness.
Still, while being lawful neutral is proving fun, I'm not sure if this sort of snooping behaviour is a good idea right now.:smalleek:
EDIT: I should explain, the Ghamin campaign almost started with that premise. The reason I didn't use it (other than it would be totally self-indulgent on my part) was because G would be dead within 12 seconds of game time.
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
Haha, Interent :smalltongue:. Still having to use cyber cafes huh?
Also, a little snooping never hurt anyone as long as it's just generally looking round and as you said IC, not rummaging through someones underwear drawer.
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
Looks like I know where to send Halabur next. :smallamused:
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
The Halfling woman's underwear drawer? Who says she wears any? :smallwink:.
Might have to ask Drayner when you see him next :smalltongue:.
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
I meant Tahlruamy's of course!
But other than that, I'm afraid I don't have a good comeback. :smallmad:
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
I can tell you right now, you will not be finding a +5 Jockstrap of anything... And if you do want to go laundry diving, make sure it's the clean pile, you know what a mostly veggie diet does to the digestive system :smalltongue:.
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
Due to the concept and importance of a realistic portrayal of time in the story, how will I know when I can rejoin the party?
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
When Nialise is finished with you :smallwink:. Haha, I'll bring you back in before anything too major happens.
EDIT: In fact, I'll be moving things along with my next IC post. Still working a few things out, dealing with some behind the scenes action... Blah blah blah... Stay tuned!
-
Re: A Thorn In The Hand OOC
You don't have to bring me back, just notify me and I will rejoin the party, I have an idea.
What is the halfling referred to as? Queen, assistant, ect? (would I even know?)
