Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Just got in my Board Game with Sticky Schticks! :D
Now all that's left for me is the christmas ornaments, which unfortunately are probably stuck in the "broken thumb" department for now. Curse those evil glass shard overlords. :P

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Been wondering. The post before Rich injured his hand, he'd already managed two green bars on the Workometer line for "Crayon Drawings (Individual)". Did any of these get completed and/or sent out?
... And if so, anyone willing to share them with us? I remember Rich giving permission for them to be scanned and posted on the forums in the Arts and Crafts section, if the people who ordered them wanted to do it.

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Just got my christmas ornaments today! Awesome timing, considering it's Christmas Eve.
And they're even signed, which means the therapy must be coming along well. I wouldn't expect anything too drastic in the near future, and I'd be surprised if it's not something he's doing a little at a time to be safe, but it's still encouraging to see that the healing is progressing well.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
At this point, I've completely forgot. Does the crayon drawing include the 8" by 11" poster? Or do I need to order one off of OOKaDOOK, if it's not too late.

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
It's 8x10, but it's included. Here's the reward chart.

Finally got an envelope of the Kickstarter stash! Magnet, colouring book, etc.
Still missing the Print only books, but I'm assuming they'll be sent in a separate package to reduce weight, and thus taxes for international orders?
Anyway, it's always fun to recieve stuff you'd forgotten you paid for.

Huh. No, they should have all been together. You should definitely send me a message over on the Kickstarter site and let me know your backer info, because that's not right.

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Thanks for letting me know, sent a message on Kickstarter that should provide the info, at least what I could think of.

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow

Edit: Got home from classes tody and my order arrived Woot.
I think I have to go order another colouring book so I can have a pristine one and one I use lol

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
To my delight I received my autographed package this week. Holding the book is such a pleasant feeling, and I guess what makes the comic really shine in print is the vector artwork, so slick and nice, I seriously felt compelled to buy the rest of the books. Unfortunately at present I have scarce space and finances to accommodate this, so it'll have to wait. Reading the comic in book form is so much easier and comfortable. Just... Great! Also, as far as ink smell goes, it's lovely (for those people who sniff their pages, lol).

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Got my signed books today (shipped to Germany), yay! I think I got a Patch too much (two in total but I only added 4$)...not that I am complaining!
Thank you very much! All of the swag (stickers, patch, coloring book, StickyShticks and the notepad) is great, my wife loves the coloring book.

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
I see the Belkar PDF is only one fill-in space away from completion! I don't know how long that will take given Rich's injury but still exciting to see nonetheless. :smallcool:

Also, the initial concept for the PDF for Therkla (or "Thekla", as she's misspelled in the Workometer) has solidified in Rich's mind, Rich has done some planning for her PDF, and Rich has finished planning out the Sir Francois PDF.

Huzzah! I have received my packages!

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Got a question that I thought I'd ask here before bothering Rich directly.
The last Kickstarter update suggested that people should now have all their physical rewards, except for those that involve orginal art. My question is whether this includes people (like me!) whose original art is digital rather than physical. Has anyone in the Stick it To You/Stick it To Your Family categories recieved their other swag? Are you expecting it soon? Or will our physical swag be sent out only when Rich is able to do the rest of the original art?

I think we have to wait (I have a Stick It To You pledge, haven't heard anything). The Workometer says "Digital Portrait Packages" not Digitital Portraits - I think we will get them when the Portraits are done (but I do not really know why - maybe we will get a printed version of it also? [Other than that I have really no clue why Rich wouldn't send the non-digital stuff, but I think he has his reasons]).
But since I've waited long enough, I thought it is not urgent enough to bother Rich about it - and yesterday I got my other package, so I'm quite happy now

Thanks for the reply ChristianSt. Yeah, I guess that waiting is probably what we have to do. Like you say, it's not really that urgent.
I suppose it is easier logistically for Rich to wait tackle the Digital Portrait packages in their entirity, rather than do the physical swag now and go back to the same order later for the portrait.

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
I've just received my "Patience for a Signed Print" package (shipped to the UK!) Thank you very much Rich; everything in it is wonderful and Roy is already on my fridge. :D
One question - can you tell me (or does anyone else know - I couldn't find an answer in this thread) what the "6/12" next to your/Rich's signature mean?
Is it that Rich signed it on the 6th December, or in June 2012, or something else..?
Thank you again!

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Pretty sure it's June 2012, having just checked one of my signed books.

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
My Whole Story Box just arrived (from customs, which added 7% to the pledge total :smalleek:) and it's eff-in' gorgeous. Even the packaging is fun to dispose of - the peanuts are made from biodegradable starch and dissolve in water!
Thank you very much for your continuing effort, Giant. Live long (I'll omit the prosper part because of recent Kickstarter campaigns) and healthy!
PS: Yes, the autographs are marked month/year, as my books are signed with 1/13. Every autograph coming with a member of the OotS sketched besides. Eff. In'. Gorgeous.

This right here is one of the reasons I'm proud to support this comic (besides the fact that I enjoy reading it, obviously). It would have definitely been cheaper to print overseas, use non-recycled paper, and ship in non-degradable packing peanuts, but the Giant went the extra mile for quality (and sustainability, because having a livable planet is awesome).
Right on, Rich.

I was wondering when we may see the reprinted books commercially available?
