Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
I've been wanting to do this, ever since I randomly designed a child for Roy and Celia. So I did. Children for Haley and Elan too- then some other non-canon character children party members to top it off.
Current one -38. Comic 38: She really does need to get a watch.
Site
BTW For future note, this comic was started at 863, so if anything happens that makes my story impossible... (Like Nale dying! Holy crap!) Oh well, I don't really care. My story will remain the way I've planned it out.

Re: Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
Jermey's hair looks kinda weird to me.
Also "You are all idiots!" is lacking an exclamation mark and Belkar's progeny is missing, I think?

Re: Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
The art is pretty decent but it looks like you mix and match between copy-pasting characters in the exact same pose and completely redrawing them when the poses chage. You should probably make templates for each recurring character that can be reposed.
Also that font. Don't use that font. It's unreadable.

Re: Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
Hehe, pretty cool imo <^_^>
Only thing I might suggest (and it's just personal preference) - if you're going to have a single character speaking in different panels, it may be best to go ahead and draw the V part of the chat balloon over the panels directly to the panel where the character is speaking from. That's just me though >.>

Re: Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
The text is very small, can you enlarge it?
-
Re: Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
I'm going to have to echo everyone else here. It's not the most readable font.
But apart from that, it's done rather well.

It's not yelled, So it's just a period that I missed. No exclamation mark necessarily. Only 3 of them are children of order members, but that won't come up in the story at all anyway.

I don't think I understand what you're saying with the first part...
And The font... I'll change it. I wanted to use a different font for each character, but I guess I choose a bad one for Shiri...

Thanks for the advice.

#2 up. Is Shiri's new font better?

He's basically saying that when it comes to adding the characters, you either copy-paste them "as is" from a previous panel (and it shows) or you seem to make them from scratch altogether whenever the pose changes (and it takes time). You would save time and add more variation if you saved a blank template for each major character where you can quickly add the appendages in various motions and different expressions, and then bam! add to the panel. *
Noone masters this istantly, and #2 is already better than #1, keep 'em coming.
* I'm not an accomplished avatarist, my lecture of things also comes "as is". :smalltongue:

But I do just have templates for them that I repose and such. The only thing I didn't do that for was Alcina in the first Panel of Comic 1, and that's because I made that Ages ago.
And what's the point of changing them, if they simply don't need changed. :smalltongue:

I love it and look forward to more coming. Are they going to have their own website or are you just going to link them here?

Continue. I like where this is going... I'm curious what the Goth girl exactly is... I'm assuming she is a Necromancer of sort and possibly Human (or was at one point).

Since I don't know if these things will ever come up in comic, I'll be blunt.
She's a 17th 18th level wizard, specializing in necromancy.
She is human, and roughly 20-24 years old. (I honestly haven't quite decided yet.). Umm any other random info I missed?
Oh! If you didn't catch that in the comic, she's currently going by Areyil. (Not her real name)

I did not catch that. Thank you for reminding me  I eagerly await to see how she actually proceeds down the path of Villainy :smallamused:

Re: Next Generation:Order of the Pinecone
Well isn't this just lovely?
I like this so far, most especially the hair on some of the characters, I wish to see more of that:smallwink:
I like the jokes and story, and Shiri's ADORABLE, I'm guessing the chain shirt runs in the family?(she's an adventurer, so she can clearly afford her own lute, duh!):smalltongue:
Did she inheret Banjo too? I imagine him being a worn rag of what he once was, we can call him "Broken Banjo":smalltongue:
to sum up: detailed hair, jokes with story, Haley&Elan's child - me want MOAR!
