Well I was just saying that just because they're mutually abusive, that doesn't mean that either side gets a pass on the abuse angle, which is what I took the not going into the abuse angle line to mean. And should probably just both have their heads clocked together at a good clip like in one of those cartoons.
But I might just be overly partial to that gag.
Ah. Then we were simply arguing the same point, but in such a way that we shot past each other and appeared to be in opposition.
And if it helps any, they bring in w guy who can take away/replace powers and have him go to town on her. It was awkward because they staged it like a rape. And then next scene was kind of reminiscent of the Tahno thing from Legend of Korra
I think you're referring to an aside from Ferris to the audience. To paraphrase Ferris: "Cameron is so messed up that he'll marry the first girl that is nice to him. And she'll hate him for it. Because you can't respect someone who doesn't respect themselves"
I do find it interesting that Dillon and Amber both have an idealistic side to them. And I agree that Yuki is a tiresome character. She is a metaphorical (and literal) kick to the balls.
Eventually Zii will supplant her again, and we'll wish for Yuki back.
Well... I don't hate Yuki that much as a character, or even person but making her Gary's girlfriend was stupid on every level but the "we must punish Gary for being alive" level.
The whole thing is setting itself up more and more like an orgy....
I like Yuki, and think that in her own deranged way, she and Gary seem to work- I mean, obviously apart from the sex stuff.
Then again, she bears a degree of similarity to my own girlfriend in terms of temperment.
I'm betting Gary's thoughts are going back to this.
This is definitely looking like a solid opening for a porn movie.
But by now it's at least not a surprise anymore that anyone can walk in at any time without any announcement. :smallamused:
Wait... "random guy". She's now getting introduced to Gary, of whom she has heard so much.
Oh dear. :smalleek:
And another one is added to the harem.
This comic is going where I explicitly didn't want it to go. I could actually relate to Gary before. Now, it's all just... bleh.
I mean, it's still pretty good, I guess. For what it is. I despise the mix-up comedy and Yuki is currently being less than agreeable (though understandable), but it still has points.
But I digress. There is in fact a pretty interesting opportunity here. When Gary looks Yuki in the eyes, can he honestly say he loves her? I believe that a realization that he might not, followed by a decision that he wants to try and get to love her, would be the biggest damn piece of character development he can receive. And if he can tell her he loves her, I do hope we'll get to hear why. Because right now, it's really probably just that there's no one else for him to love.
...except Kiley. Remember her, Gary? Didn't you have a good time together? Turns out, Yuki does not in fact stand as unopposed as Gary might think. He just needs to realize that.
Yeah I liked Kiley a lot. Sadly, compared to the other characters she's a bit too normal, which is probably why she's not making appearances anymore.
Still, given that the comic is called Menage a 3, one would naturally gravitate toward the belief that eventually Gary will be part of one.
I'm also a little fuzzy on Ma3 logic, but hasn't Gary already cheated on Yuki? With Kiley, even. Or does it not count like that because Yuki was engaged in that ridiculous contest with Sonya?
I do wonder if the authors haven't got a copy of the DSM-IV book of mental disorders lying around and frequently consult it when deciding on character traits. Sexual and social disorders being bookmarked.
I figured it didn't count because he wasn't actually with either of them, he was just going on dates prior to choosing. Also because the cast are dunces. Also because he hasn't mentioned it to anyone as far as I know and he certainly hasn't had the spine to get a word in edgewise here really.
GAH! Gary is the unluckiest lucky man in history! Now gal number 27 in the "want to bang gary" list gets her first look. Lets see how badly this gets screwed up.
So, Channelle walks in on Amber, Dillon and Gary and mistakes an 'innocent' moment for a porno shoot.
What I'm hearing is, "Two girls who desperately want to receive Swirly-Go-Rounds have found the only two guys in the world who can give them; both of whom are very horny and one already naked."
I don't see the problem here. :smalltongue::smallbiggrin:
Except for the bit where one of the guys is gay? :smalltongue:
Well, it could make a pretty interesting porno for sure but... This is Gary we are talking about. He already got too much good from showering with Amber. I expect a meteor to hit him soon for that.
Concerning Gary and Kiley... I really liked her and I'm not sure why she got removed from the story like that... Maybe we will see her again. We'll have to wait on that. But then this would mean serious drama with Yuki, I'd wager.
Nope, still don't see a problem with that.
[EDIT: Fixed the link]
Oops, sorry - apparently, Ma3 doesn't like you linking to old comics without specifying the image.
For the record, it's the strip of Dillon going down on Amber. The point being, for all she knows he is probably bisexual, and since he's going to be between her and Gary it'll all work out :smalltongue:
Whelp, that went over quickly.
Gary must have the biggest case of blue balls now.
All things considered, he got off lightly.
I'm pretty sure those balls have blueshifted so far they've turned black.
Huh, so that's what "fluffer" means, hm? Eenteresting. :smallconfused:
(The complete lack of cameras and lights didn't seem to bother her that much either. Maybe she's used to hidden cameras. >_> )
