Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
So far, what I've heard of this Dalachrech nonsense, is that there is some insane cult of cockroach believers somewhere. This, while certifiably being a waste of time, and a sin against the true god, (Mine.) is rather harmless. Then, I find out that these cockroach kissing cultists keep slaves! I AM NO MURDEERER YOU DALACHRECH SCUMBAG! No, it's not acceptable or done! It's not right! You Dalachrech's are inhuman monsters! And, you people apparently forcibly curtained with slaves! That's despicable in several ways. I, Inspector Thenadier have now pledged my time to assist in destroying you worthless, inhumane, slave-keeping sinners! I will find your heads and destroy them! One by one! You are more foul cultists. Every city has a few, most go down fast. Apparently, yours is rather stubborn. The light of my god will shine on me and vanquish you.

Oh, good. If these two groups tear each other apart, everyone else wins.

This argument is about your religion as a whole. And as a whole, your religion is a bunch of slavers and human sacrificers (Is there an actual word for this, anyone? I used murderer, but he tried to turn it around on me.) and the idiots, or at least idiot, who poorly defends them. Maybe a bunch of followers are unaware all the horrible things their clergy do, but if you're a representative of the Inside sect you apparently all know and defend them.

As for your argument, 'Blondie', she had lost hope. That's why she turned to religion- she was looking for some to replace that he'd lost. She chose ours only because our Temple was closest.
She still fought on. And by your own admission she's happier as free woman than as a slave. She didn't kill herself and didn't give up and sell herself. She lived by her own will.
And way to screw up your own crappy pathos play. You just admitted to coincidence rather than divine providence.
Quote:
Every religion is a religion of murderers, even if they don't practice human sacrifice. That guy earlier, saying his religion was better than ours, is a murderer. He freely admitted it, too. He's not the only one. Every religion wants power, and for most that is through converting people from other religions. Sometimes this is achieved through preaching on street corners. Often, it's faster and more efficient to just find a heathen village, kill everyone who resists and torture those that are left until they convert. It's not acceptable, but it's still done. And not just by deities whose PR is poor to begin with, either. When the devout hear of it, sometimes they rejoice in the knowledge that those survivors have had their souls saved from eternal torment; sometimes they refuse to believe it and declare it a lie spread by the filthy heathens whom are going to damnation for far greater sins than lying.
How is this an argument in your favor? "It's okay to enslave and sacrifice. All the cool religions are doing it." Is that your argument? I'm not debating a religion in preference to yours. I'm debating you're a cult full of evil slavers and human sacrificers, AND I'M WINNING!

Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
Oh please, the Church of Medea will tear apart any weak cultists. Arch-Bishop Claudius Hark could easily organize another religious campaign! Our paladins and priests could easily wipe you cultists off the face of the Earth! I second you, Blondie.
-
Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
Read the last paragraph again, Medea guy. I don't need militant theists backing me up. Thanks, but no thanks.
Are you with those Beata guys from earlier? The drow haters?
-
Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
Yes, I am. Drow haters? Yes. Those creatures are guilty of much of the pain and suffering on Medea, and my life has been greatly impacted by those scheming elf prototypes.
-
Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
While I fear the answer, I am curious. Do you have any other important prejudices?

Hey, just curious, but if you were to leave your church and hook up with another faith, would your old goddess brutally murder your new goddess with a poisoned dress and then toss all your paladins and priests off of a tower? I mean... come on, what kind of zealous nutjob worships Medea? Have you chopped up your brother for a sacrifice or something like that? I'm just trying to figure out how this could work.

Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
Well...I don't like most dwarves....just because they smell horrible, have nasty little beards, and don't clean after themselves...Oh, cheese is not good either, I'm allergic....uh....I hate all dark elves...and...I don't like reality t.v? That's about it...Oh, I need to add Dalachrech to the list.
Um...no, she wouldn't....I don't think...I never considered it really...No, she wouldn't. Medea is a forgiving goddess usually....sometimes...No...he technically killed himself...jumping off the church tower can do that...

Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
So that's the lie she's sticking to... And what have you to say about the accusations that your goddess Medea murdered a king who stood in her way by tricking the king's daughters into cutting him to pieces? Or the claim that Medea murdered a just and noble guardian of Crete by drugging him into a suggestive state and then making him kill himself? I demand justice for Pelias and Talus!

Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
I...what? Make sense...I am Thenadier, not a she....What do you mean? What? Our goddess would never do that...She is a just and noble goddess! My brother jumped off the chapel in a sign of sacrifice from our family to Medea. The eldest son must be sacrificed at his adulthood. Is is the sacrifice humanity must pay. Who are those two? Are you insane?
-
Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
I am not insane! I am... Euripides, Ace Investigative Reporter! I have written an expose about Medea that reveals she truly is, as former husband Jason of Iolcos described her, "A totally crazy b****, man".
-
Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
Wait. Important question when it comes to jumping off a church roof to a goddess. Did your brother hit the ground?
-
Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
You are insane...
And, no...he didn't. It was a cliff. He hit the water.

Always.

Hey, buddy, it takes one to know one.

Father Callaway Krutch, Exorcist, at the Nexus's service. I will remove or destroy any of your supernatural grievances. Demons, undead, anything that can't be real. Contact me here, or at GLOG.

How about racism?
-
Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
..What about it? I am Father Krutch of Pelor....they're a different church...I just know how to kill or un-undead an undead. Along with destroying possession, or controlling ghosts....or witches...or any kind of outworlder.
-
Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
Oh. Well, you said "things that can't be real..."
How about an undead weirdo with acid dripping out of his fingertips who kidnapped my pregnant daughter?
-
Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
I was meaning an ethereal or physical being...like....uh....some kind of Cthulhu thing. I'm rather good with that...haven't gone insane yet! Shame about my partner though...
E...I'm sorry? That sounds....unfortunate?
-
Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
You said you fight undead?
-
Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
I am an Exorcist. I banish them.
-
Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
You know, where I come from someone who fights monsters but is a stupid as you seem to be would end up a gruesome sidenote in a local newspaper pretty quickly.
-
Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
Aaaand the difference is?
-
Re: [Nexus] The Wall III: Wall Harder
No, that was my partner....he was ripped in half and tossed out of a five story building. I am older and far more experienced. Stupid? How so?
I don't kill them. I banish their souls. Temporarily causing the undead to lose control of their necroti, the undead spirit inside them. The undead will then just disappear, and reform much later. Sometimes though, I kill them permanently.
