anti-HEROES: For every ending, there is a beginning.
Hey everyone there is a NEW anti-HEROES strip up
http://www.antiheroescomic.com/comic/220
This is a sad and joyous occasion, as this is the LAST strip written and drawn by the illustrious creator, Zarah. For those of you keeping track in the Passing the Torch thread, the reins are being passed over to the creative team of DyPen, which is to say, Dyluth the artist, and myself, Leakingpen, the scribe.
So pop the cork, pour the wine, and celebrate! The strip is dead, long live the strip! Dyluth and I hope to soon be bringing you more quality story and art, and continue in the tradition that Zarah has started. Keep your eyes peeled here for our first team update!

Hooray! You guys are awesome

Re: anti-HEROES: For every ending, there is a beginning.
Woohoo! anti-HEROES lives! It has been resurrected!
I can't make enough smileys to show how happy I am.

Re: anti-HEROES: For every ending, there is a beginning.
Horray, today is a day of joy.

Re: anti-HEROES: For every ending, there is a beginning.
Joy, and celebration, and feasting, to be written in the calendars and commemorated all years hereafter until the world should end.

Re: anti-HEROES: For every ending, there is a beginning.
I'm glad the comic's starting up again.
I wonder why there haven't been any new comics yet? I'll bet Dypen are just trying to establish a comic buffer.

Re: anti-HEROES: For every ending, there is a beginning.
Let's not be sipping too much wine in celebration just yet. This new team has to do a lot of butt kissing to earn back the respect of the audience after Zarah let this comic all but dead for six months.
Advice to the new team:
- Pay attention to the comment thread page. The natives are very restless and it is starting to show. You will be surprised to see how far tossing a few words of update into the thread will go and it may even bring some of the lost fans back into the fold.
- Update the About Us page. Now that Zarah is officially retired, people want to know a little bit about the new team who will be putting out comics from this point forward.
- And for goodness sakes, update that copyright date. This isn't 2009. That by itself is enough to make new comic fans think this project is dead.
- Get a twitter account started. And update it whenever you post a new comic update. People will follow it.
- If you are really bold, consider UStream broadcasts of the penciling sessions. Yes, this is computer art, but everything begins with pencil sketches before moving on to the digital phase. People will watch you and participate in the chats. For anyone who doubts this, please see the #drawing_goblins Ustream chat. Thunt has proven that this is effective. In fact, a lot of fans use the Ustream chat even when Thunt isn't actively broadcasting.
This comic has amazing potential. Please do it right and respect the fans. They are your bread and butter if this comic ever moves into a phase where there are opportunities to make money from it.
Cheers!

Re: anti-HEROES: For every ending, there is a beginning.
I can (and will tonight) handle all of that except the ustream, being the lowly script writer. (wink). A bit of an update here, we were given a few final scrips that Dyluth is working off of. I'm not sure where the status of that is, I will email him tonight. But at this point, there is still 2-3 comics before I really have any work to do, pooh.
Thank you for the suggestions! Knowing that I'm assisting in a project that is that beloved by people is awesome.

You have a pretty impressive group of fans there, LP. As I recall, there was overwealming support to keep the storyline going after Jordan/Zarah decided to retire.
If your team requires a PR person, please let me know. I have extensive experience in the field of web marketing, and provided I kept close tabs on the team's progress, I could certainly assist by being your connection to the fan world.
If you require any such assistance, please advise.
Best of Luck!

When should we expect the first Dypen strip?

It's starting to look like the answer to that one is "never." Hopefully I'm wrong...

Re: anti-HEROES: For every ending, there is a beginning.
...knows that Leakingpen is active in other forum areas but has no idea if Dyluth is active, alert or stirring anywhere.
* Pulls up a rock and sits - Offers Leakingpen a stick with which to poke the other partner *
Meanwhile, life goes on. It is the long weekend here in Canada. Wee!

This seems as dead as Rebellion|Revolution. (which is to bad as they are great comics)

Just talked with Dyluth, he is finishing up the first new page, I am hoping for this weekend!

Hooray! How wonderful! I note with some distress that the other site has more edginess, by now Jordan will be a tough act to follow.

The first of the Dyluth drawn strips are up! Please note, the website IS running a little slow, it is being looked at.

Nice, great to see this back up and running.

Re: anti-HEROES: For every ending, there is a beginning.
I was starting to think this wouldn't happen...
Someone in the comments brought up that Zarah used a dark gray for outlines rather than black. Comparing your strip with the previous, it helped the divisions between panels stand out more. Something to consider.

Re: anti-HEROES: For every ending, there is a beginning.
I noticed some thickness inconsistency between facial expressions and the person making said facial expressions... a bit of a nitpick, as it's otherwise fine, but i felt like it was worth bringing up...

Tra-le-la-le-lea! *fanfare*

Re: anti-HEROES: For every ending, there is a beginning.
And wow, another one? That was very fast and pleasant.

As my robotics team says, thrice in a row is repeatable. I'm waiting for the third one before I get excited.

How come there's only two naes at the bottom with one of them being Zarah? Aren't you two new guys working on it?
