I really don't like Chrysalis...Quote:
Hmmm. I like the voice. Pretty close to English Fluttershy.
This one has best translation, but pretty poor voice...
Why it just so happens I do:
And there are some better options for Storm you ask me.
Pixie.
One of the more prominent young mutants of the last ten years or so.
Emma?
Pixie?!
Jub...
Ju...
Jubilee?
This...
This is Best Pony X-Men Line Up EVER!
HUZZAH!
Well, okay, we coulda skipped Phoenix for my money, and Dash as Northstar is just a bit...um... yeah... but otherwise, awesome!
Pixie.
Megan Gwynn. Notably the first Welsh X-Man (go the Welsh! You guys got an awesome one!) Her powers are flight (duh), hallunciogenic fairy dust, but she ended up using part of her soul to form a Soul Dagger in Limbo (long story), and now she has doodie awesome magic powers, most notable being her long-range mass teleportation spells (and an arsenal which will be expanded by Doctor Strange in due time.)
She's right up there, only a few paces behind Jubes for Favourite X-Man.
Also, *sigh* AJ Rogue reminds me of when I first started with the X-Men, and Rogue was funny and cool and not an angsty, mostly somber and rather banal character like she is now.
You are probably thinking of Sprite or Ariel. But I might be missing one. It was a pretty long time before Kitty had Shadowcat locked in.
And I stopped following X-men well before I stopped reading Marvel and comics in general so I only know the character indirectly.
Don't feel guilty though nopony reads comics anymore, their readership is incredibly stagnant.
@The Lich:
What no ranting about a certain unmentionable event? I'm almost proud o Lich. Also according the artist that's supposed to be Quicksilver which I consider hardly a better option. Dash really only has what three possibilities though?
Limbo? wasn't that Ilyanas schtick? did they recycle it?

random thought
...in the german translation of pony..what accent do they give to Foto Finish?
Magick was directly involved, actually (like I said, it's a long story.)
Also, if recent events are anything to go by, that girl is not only certifiably nuts, but joining the the large number of X-Men taking the plunge off the cliff of total character derailment and stupidity into the extremist villain territory... (See Cyke. Yes. CYCLOPS.)
At the moment, you're really not missing much. As you might infer from my above statement, it's all spiralled down into fairly crappy at the moment in the last year or so (I'm literally about two issues aways from giving up, after all the highs and lows from starting in the mid-late 90s; it should tell you how bad it's gotten that I'm starting to look back at the comics of the 90s fondly...! (I've not infrequently ranted about this on ponythread.))
Okay, a question: Out of the following three one-episode charecters, which one would you like to see come back the least?
Iron Will
Gilda
Flim &/or Flam
Gilda. I love the episode, but the only obvious route for a Gilda return is some kind of redemption arc, and frankly I just don't think that would be in-character. Not without a much more adult and complex feel for the episode than one expects of canon pony.
Iron Will was an endearing, memetic goofball and is always welcome. Flim and Flam could quite happily be slotted in to any number of hilarious hairbrained schemes and ensuing hilarity. Plus their return would ask very politely for more musical numbers, which would be a good thing.
I would say Gilda. Don't really care for her much, and I cannot really see any way she could logically return.
Also Gilda. I could see her coming back without being redeemed as a lesson in once in a while being forced to work with people that you don't like and managing to get something important done and then immediately going back to never wanting to speak to any ponies. But it's a stretch and that kind of practical lesson isn't in keeping with the show's themes of friendship.
Gilda, though Iron Will came within spitting distance of giving her a run for her money. Gilda wasn't even amusing, she was just a bullying jerk. She is by far the character I thought was the worst in the entire series. (By "worst" I mean "in terms of characters quality", not "Evilest" which is Discord without a shadow of a doubt.)
While I wasn't very fond of Iron Will (the whole smug self-help steriotype really grates on my nerves), he at least has the potential to mellow out into a more interesting overly hammy sort of character. (And I personally would have found Trixie totally forgettable if not for the fandom's love of her, which has swayed me to believe she could have some potential in some instances.)
Gilda, though? No. Didn't like anything about her, not even her design.
Guilda, just because it would be a great way to segue into the Griffin Kingdom storyline.
edit: oh wait... the least! um... Flim Flam then, since they served their purpose.
And now for something completely different!
Some of you may remember my story Flowers for Twilight. If memory serves, the last update was, what, sometime in June? May? Either way, it's been a while. Turns out writing in Japan ended up being impossible, what with the eye strain, massive workload, and other such nonsense keeping me busy. But after months of getting in odd tweaks and scenes here and there, I'm happy to announce that the next chapter is daggum finally ready for pre-reading!
Chapter 3
(old chapters, in the quite likely case you need to jog your memory)
Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Finally getting to the actual meat of the story. Specific pre-reader questions are below, please check them out after you've read it:
SpoilerConcerns with the group study scene:
1. It’s dialogue heavy. It may have a purpose, it may not. Either way, does it work for you?
2. The whole “That was two questions ago”. Does it work? Did it leave you confused?
3. If you had to cut anything in this scene, what would you cut?
Concerns with magic scenes:
1) How’s the description? Too much? Too literal? Too ethereal?
2) Did you have a clear idea what was going on?
General Concerns:
1) How is Rose's character? Do you think you have a good feel for her, or is she getting the AJ treatment of "straight pony means boring pony"?
2) How is the pacing? Do you feel like the story has been dragging on? I'm a little worried that three chapters to get to the kick-off point of one of the main plots is a bit much, but I don't see any other way to do it.
Any and all critique would be appreciated. Even if you can't get to this story for a while, belated feedback is still feedback.
The real Flim Flam Brothers question: Who would make a better spin off, them or the CMC?
I mean think of the wacky sitcomness of it all.
Yes, exactly! And it would be hilarious and probably parody a musical number from Guys and Dolls.
Oooh, shipping hooo! Plot is that both Flim and Flam fall for... not Applejack; let's do a crack shipping and say that they fall for Big Mac.
