Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
Harnel will wake up slowly and put a hand to his head; he's got a headache after all that. Given the odd weight of his horns, his hand goes up to them to feel how different they've become.
Even as he does this, he looks around at where he is, as well as looking for the dryad.
-
Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
He will feel that his horns are a great deal larger, similar to the shape of an great elk with some form of energy forming right in between them. If he touches it he will feel a great heat that probably energizes him, being a red half-dragon and all.
Though that red part simply isn't true anymore however as he can see his scales are now colored teal with a shade of pink at his back.
He will be to see the dryad returning from the beach dripping wet, all sand washed off her. The instance she see Harnel though she seem to hesitate which probably is because of his new look. "What happened to you?!" She calls out, seemingly not sure what to think of this.

Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
"I spoke to the queen while I was out," Harnel says simply, "I cut a deal and I'm going to be part fey until I don't need it anymore. Given that this is the land of the fey, that should give me a bit of an edge."
He sighs, and look the blood that must still be covering the ground, "Thanks for your help. This is why I said we get equal shares of the wishes; I may be the fighter, but I would have bled to death if not for you."
-
Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
"What?! No! You can't cut deals with them! They lie and cheat! I should know!" The dryad replies, looking at Harnel in horror.
-
Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
Harnel frowns, "It's a little late for that, don't you think? I've been under a transformation like this before though; even if for some strange reason it's permanent, once I'm back in my own world I just need o use up the leftover energy and I'll be back to normal. It's what happened last time."

Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
The dryad sigh, "Might not be that easy, once you made a deal with them it's hard to back out alright? Their bargains tend to stick, plus you look even weirder like that." She says with a shake of her head.
-
Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
Harnel smiles, "And just what do you find attractive, anyways?"
-
Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
She sticks out her tongue, "Human people. I mean, people without scales and horns, fur, tails... all that stuff. It's hard to find you know! At least where I live." That didn't really get into any close details.
-
Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
Harnel chuckles, "You know, you still haven't told me your name yet," He looks around for Dickimius. May as well pick it up at this point, right?
-
Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
"Neither have you! I think... I'm not so good with names." She admits.
Harnel will see the sword there but it's still in it's eternal form, just floating there in the air. It appears to be waiting for something.
-
Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
"I told you, my name is Harnel. I said that when we first met," he looks at her with a smile, before reaching out for the blade.
-
Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
"You did? Huh. Well, to learn my name you first need to give me something first. Names are important to fey you know? It gives them power if you freely give it to us and the reason we like to go by titles, like that queen for example. It means a lot!" She explains as she follow Harnel to the blade.
But as Harnel touches the blade his surroundings starts to shift again and he will find himself back at the swamp, surrounded by undead, drenched up to his waist in water with an heavy fog rolling in. Before him the revenant still stands with Dickimius in it's hand. "Your survived, guess I have to finish you off myself then!" It exclaims before attempting to stab him through the chest with the blade.

Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
Harnel merely moves to the side before bringing a fist forward a dodge, and then strike. If it connects, his fist should collide with the revenant's nose.

[Judges' Box]
"This guy sure seems to love the sound of his own voice," Wenomir says looking down at the fight between Rogar and Thel.
-
Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
The revenant moves in a circle around Harnel as he dodges, avoiding the half-dragons fist while aiming a second swing at his side. Meanwhile the other undead are slowly closing in on Harnel and the dryad who right now looks unsure what to do.
-
Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
The revenant may find roots coming up from the ground to bind its feet as Harnel dodges its strike. Even if the roots don't grab the undead by the legs like they should, Harnel will lung forward to enter a grapple with the creature, one hand going to its neck and the other to its wrist to twist the sword out of its hands.
-
Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
The roots do indeed snare around the undead creatures feet, catching it unprepared as Harnel manages to grab it by the neck which it responds by a hiss. He doesn't quite manage to lose it's grip around the sword though which it holds with a death grip, completely refusing to let go.
"Kill me then! Steal my possessions! In the end it's only your soul who suffers!" It screams out at him.
-
Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
Harnel Breathes in deep, then lets a torrent of fire directly into the revenant's face. The choking stream of fire eventually subsides, and Harnel says, "Just die already."
He'll try again to wrench the blade out of the undead's hands
-
Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
The revenant quickly turn to ash before it can utter another word, falling into the swamp once again, it still refuses, even returned to death once again, to let go of the sword. Harnel who may notice that the other undead beings falls lifelessly back into the muddy water as well, have to use up all his strength to make it let go.
"Phew, that was close." The dryad comments as it's finally over. "Guess we just have to kill that evil thing now huh?"
-
Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
Harnel will pry the fingers of the revenant off the blade one by one if necessary, even going so far as to break them in the process if he needs to, "Yeah. So what did you want in exchange for your name?"
-
Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
"I dunno, I don't really want anything in particular." She says with a shrug. "I... do have a thing I like to tell you though. But I'd like to get out of this icky swamp first."
-
Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
First, Harnel tests the weight and balance of the sword he just won, spinning the blade and swinging it a few times. After this, he rests it on his shoulder and begins walking back in the direction they came from initially, "Let's go then. No reason to hang around here. And you can tell me on the way; a good compromise, unless it's important that it waits until we leave."
-
Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
As Harnel takes the sword he feels an odd sense of acceptance from it and as it looks at it, it appears a bit larger than it did just a moment ago. Just the right size and weight, perfect for him.
"Well..." The dryad starts as she starts to move through the muddy water, making sure to keep away from the corpses laying around in the water. "You remember when I said you couldn't leave once you accepted that invitation? Um, well I kinda lied about that." <.<
-
Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
Harnel raises an eyebrow, and the dryad should feel that Harnel is suppressing a glare. If he'd simply left, he could have actually prepared. He wouldn't have to deal with egomaniacal fey without his wife's support. He wouldn't have had his wings torn off.
"It's in the past," is all he says, but that's not exactly a mirthful tone of voice.
-
Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
"I'm so sorry! I wasn't thinking at the time, I just wanted to start the adventure right away and..." She stops unsure what else to say. "I feel so guilty, about your wings, about everything. I'll do anything to make up for it, anything. I never wanted that to happen Har-nel."
-
Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
"You want to make up for it? Come up with something to make up for it," Harnel says, "Apologies are just words, so back it up."
He doesn't stop walking through the swamp, just focusing on the exit.
-
Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
"I... I could give you my name if you want to? I'm not sure that'll make up for everything though." She sigh as she stop walking and turns to the half-dragon. "It's Sabrina in any case but I'm not sure what else to give you. I could not tease you anymore?"
-
Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
"I'd appreciate that," Harnel says, turning to look towards her, "Just give me a while to calm down. We'll take a break and rest once we're out of the swamp. Talk to me then."
-
Re: [Nexus] Harnel's Plots
[Arcadia]
Sabrina nods quietly and then continues to just walk along through the swamp. As always when nothing happens though time seems to skip forward and they are suddenly out of the swamp on a green field underneath a perfectly clear star filled sky.
The strange thing is though, this must be the first time they have been here when nothing is really happening, there aren't any goblins running around, no undead rising from their tombs or fey queens trying to control them. It's just a great calm which seem to have settled over the world, perfect for rest.
