I suppose if we get even more people, it wouldn't be too difficult to split up into a third group. Just gotta make sure the sets stay separate.

I also have some non-forumite friends in the area who may come to hang out with us. One of them has already expressed interest in dragging her fiance to the festivities on Saturday.
I'm just razzing him because last year he had a date that he brought to the meetup for like, 45 seconds, before they left again. My conversation with her went something like this...
Mango: Hi everyone. This is my friend. She's Russian.
Zeb: Really! Cool! I speak Russ-
Mango: Bye, everyone!
:smalltongue:
Well, I'm hoping that she'll make another (longer) appearance this time, as she shouldn't need to rush off to close a deal on renting an apartment this year (that's actually why we didn't stay out longer than we did). And yes, I expect the other couple to spend at least some time hanging out.
...I need to quit being slack/embarrassed and go ahead and take come measurements. And send them to people. Though I doubt my corset will be ready in time for this event. BUT I do have a fallback outfit, so all is not lost!
Hoping to make a trip to Goodwill and a used appliance store this weekend for last minute components. It also appears that I will be attending a Steampunk Wedding next October, so this will be a good test run for future costuming!
Zeb, do we need to get some firm numbers to you for those discount tickets again this year?
Zeb doesn't work at a place to get the discount tickets anymore. Though, if there are more than 20 of us we can get the group rate which is $4 off per ticket ($18 instead of $22). We can either buy these ahead of time, or at the gate the morning of.
I suppose that buying them at the gate might be easiest then...
If we can, I'd like to get them ahead of time so we can avoid lines, but yes, if we must we can do it last minute on site, so long as we have at least 20 people.
*thought bubble!*
Mauve, do you have access to discount tickets where you work? The MWR usually has them at the group rate no matter how many you need.
Um, I am getting sinus surgery on oct 9th so I just became a maybe. I am told that I should be recovered by the meetup but knowing my history with complications I am switching to the maybe list
Really looking forward to a chance to play Resistance again. It's like a cross between Werewolf and BSG with none of the bothersome player elimination from Werewolf or the ridiculous amount of time investment of BSG. Demo'd it at GenCon, good times.
Even Kickstarted The Resistance: Avalon (Medieval, King Arthur version with new mechanics), that might get delivered by the time we leave for the meetup.
Resistance is a pretty fun game. I'm curious as to the Avalon tie-in, though - seems like it would have been easier to do with Robin Hood if they wanted a medieval setting.
I'm thinking of getting copies of the LICD card game and Capital Offensive (the Schlock Mercenary board game)for more shenanigans. I also printed out the cards and rules for the SMBC Relationship card game.
Good luck, Issac. I hope your surgery goes well, and that you'll be able to join us.
.
Those sound like fun! And good luck on the surgery. Sorry you needed to have it and hope that you're over it in time to come hang out for a while!
Four more weeks!
FOUR MORE WEEKS!
OK, so I can go ahead and pack them NOW, are there any games I am supposed to bring? Aside from Telestrations?
Depending on bag space, I might be able to bring Eminent Domain, a 4 player game about planetary conquest. Tis pretty groovy.
Are you the ones that have the more fun version of times up than the regular one that we have? If yes...bring that please.
Oh...and I don't know if we'll have the space or inclination to do a game of cash and guns live here, but it could be fun if we can...thoughts?
I need to make a set of Cards Against Humanity for this.
I'm making myself a necklace to go with my outfit. I thought I'd check here before I ordered the stuff to make said necklace and see if anyone else wants one.
The necklace would look like this:Spoilerhttp://www.sunandmooncraftkits.com/m...kit-rolo_1.jpg
for the metal itself you'd have the option of shiny silver, vintage copper, vintage bronze or gunmetal

The image in it would be any of the ones shown here:Spoiler

or, you know, some other image that you want to email to me =P
I'm estimating the cost to be somewhere between $2-3.
I want one! I'll take vintage bronze with the compass design in it (1st row). AWESOMETASTIC!
Also, my apologies to Belethorian. Since my corset won't be ready by then, I kinda gave up on the shirt. Even though it was awesome of her to offer to make it.
We have the "titles" version of Time's Up. Consider it - and Cash n Guns Live - packed. If someone has a second copy of Telestrations, bring it as well! Our set plays up to 8, with 2 we could play 16.
In (slightly) less than 3 weeks, I will be in BalWash, DelMarVa!
I'll be at work, wondering what I can do to get my kids' team some wins in soccer, and also trying to figure out how to somehow get down there when it always happens during soccer season... *grumble*
Me too!!! Oh wait.
Me too!
:smallconfused:
See, I'm currently not spending a ton of time in MD. Haven't actually been there in a couple of weeks and have had to make arrangements to be there for the meetup. I hope my last couple of batches of brew turned out okay. I haven't had an opportunity to sample them. :smallfrown:
