Fade also wonders why Teq didn't asked for the shadow most people seem to notice that first. maybe Teq didn't.
There's a hat stand near the far wall, the perch of several fine hats. Fade probably shouldn't go around destroying Teq's things, though.
"What were these blades made of?" Teq asks, a bit more interested. The shadow really doesn't faze him - he's seen similar magics, if that's what it is. If not, it's something comparable.
-
Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
Teq's Ship
Fade doesn't seem to be intressed in destroying things right now. And his shadow works much different then others, but since Teq isn't intressed Fade won't describe it anymore.
"I don't know if the material exists here. I myself would call it shadow metall. It's not like it is useless here, but it works different and makes it hard to use. After all I got new weapons to compare this."
-
Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
Teq's Ship
"Shadow metal? Some sort of negative energy blade?" Teq asks, now more curious about Fade's origins than anything. "Where did you say you were from?"
-
Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
Teq's Ship
Fade sheathe his sword. It may be noticable that it doesn't seem like he carrys one. Only the hilt shows that he wears a sword on his side.
"Maybe. I don't know what you mean by negative energy."
He turns around to Teq. Wondering what this new intressed.
"I never said where I come from. The world I lifed on is much different from this. If your foreign from it you die in shrt times."
-
Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
Teq's Ship
"A toxic environment, then? Not the plane of Shadow, by any chance?" Teq asks distractedly while he tries to decide which barrel to use on his Bolt.
-
Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
Teq's Ship
"No not toxic. It's more like something is draining your soule, killing what some of your religions call the light inside. Something that can't be seen with your eyes."
Some emotions fall into this like Fade has made that experience.
-
Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
Teq's Ship
"That sounds... horrific. So what happened to your 'light inside'?" Teq asks, turning his full attention on the creepy little fellow. Not a bad name for the soul, at least amongst primitive cultures. "Did you ever have one?" A more important question comes to mind. He furrows his brow. "What are you, Fade?"
-
Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
Teq's Ship
Fade smiles, but sadly his scarf hides it.
"You think the wrong way Teq. I didn't get there from anywhere and lost part of this light. I was a occupant of that world. But then I got blessed with a curse and I couldn't stay there any longer."
-
Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
Teq's Ship
"Blessed with a curse? Sounds backwards," Teq says.
-
Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
Teq's Ship
Fade starts looking serious right at Teq. This kind of things aren't anything he would make a joke about or handle less than his own life.
"Thats cause you can't imagine it. This change wasn't made on prupose or even under my permission. They send this light right into my body."
He stops here to make a sign with his hand hitting right onto his chest.
"You can't imagine how it is when your world you lifed on seems to kill you. This curse threw me out of my world, but in the same moment it opened me another door. I was able to leave the world I was and allowed me to enter new worlds. Just like this one. And I also got a power I never thought of. With each day I'm here I get stronger. I learn new tricks, but I can never return."
-
Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
Teq's Ship
"I believe I can relate," Teq explains vaguely, looking over his bolt before lifting it up. He heaves the strap over one mighty shoulder and looks squarely at Fade. "Ever wish you could go back?"
-
Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
Teq's Ship
"At the beginning. I don't know anyone who accepts a sudden change. It didn't keep long."
He makes a pause holding his hand in front. Five balls appear over his open hand a blue, a white, a green, a red and a black.
"The powers I revive here make up for that loss. Even if I still need to go there for eating."
-
Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
Teq's Ship
"Eating? I thought you said you could never return." Teq says, headed towards the door. If Fade doesn't follow right away, he makes a 'hurry-up' gesture, heading out and down the long steel hallway.
-
Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
Teq's Ship
Fade won't move to the exit. He doesn't seem to get the gesture. After all his world didn't had any society.
"I didn't say I can't return. I say I can't live there anymore. I only got a few hours every time I visit that plain enougth to hunt."

"With that you can call me when your done. Anything else?"
"There is nothing. You may leave now." The Operative pulls the bags to him, and begins to count the money while weighing the different options of what to use it on.

Actually, he did say he can never return. :smalltongue:
Teq just arches a brow, and then tells him, "Come on. I'll show you out." He turns again. "You can keep the belt."
-
Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
Teq's Ship
Well it was meant in 'I could never return to live there '-way. Fade looks around seeinng if Teq goes the same way as they went to come in. If so he follows slowly.
"I belive your neither trained in weaponless combat or in magic?"
-
Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
Teq's Ship
"I've trained in a variety of things. Magic... not really. I prefer to use weapons, though, yes." Teq plods down the long hallway, absentmindedly tapping on his headset. Little holographic displays pop up before his eyes.
-
Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
Teq's Ship
Fade looks up as the holographs appear.
"I thought you aren't trained in magic."
Fade saw many things and get the clue as well, but he never met anyone using high tech. Such things are more likely to be magic then technology, in his opinion.
[Operative's Office]
The man leaves.
The amount of gold is exactly what they said.
If the operative checks the cell phone he find out it's a prepaid one having only 1 number saved.

Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
Teq's Ship --> Outside
"That's because this isn't magical," Teq says, shutting the device off. The holograms wink out of existence. "Though I suppose 'any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic'." The giant enjoys quotes like that.
-
Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
Teq's Ship --> Outside
Giant makes things confusing. Cause If I hear of giant I think of building high people. Fade seems to be confused. Teq says something that sounds like he repeat someone. Strange.
"Not really. technology most time has a visible resources for there power, while most magic haven't something you are able to touch."
-
Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
A young drow walks in. He is very handsome. (Mostly due to his strange nature) He has shoulder-length white hair, ebony skin, and the common red eyes. He dresses in a black and grey pin-striped suit and low fidora. Looks more like a 1950's criminal if anything. He walks up to the barkeep, The barkeep might see that Javert is actually a wraith. His form is wispy and smoky. He is in fact, incorporeal. Hello....I'm looking for someone to help me with some "business" that needs to get done. Special business. Javert shows off a bag of gold that he floats via telekinesis.

Yeah, building-high would make things kinda inconvenient. He's really only about 9 feet tall though.
"This doesn't." Teq says, taking off the metal headset - little more than a steel ring with several buttons - and hands it to Zefir. "Not immediately visible, anyway. Besides, magic doesn't have to be some intangible, primal force."
-
Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
Teq's Ship --> Outside
Fade first wonders why Teq is othering the device to a third person who doesn't seem to be here.
"I don't mean visible in that way. To be true you can't even see the power generator by these cars. I meant, tht you don't need a magic sight or something to make it visible."
If Teq notice his mistake and tries to show it Fade he will take the device on. pressing the same buttons when he wears it as Teq. Seems like he has notes what he did.
-
Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
Outside
Whoops. I think I mixed something up there...
"Ah, I see. Well... I suppose that depends on the type of magic." Perhaps that particular quote doesn't fit. The giant makes his way down the ramp.
A holographic display jumps into existence before Fade's eyes, displaying a recent Nexnet news feed.

Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
[The Operative's Office]
Ring, ring, ring, ring, ring, ring, ring! Banana phone!
Um... I mean, the Operative's phone should start ringing or vibrating or something! Well, the phone that belongs with the number which the Operative gave Percilia should do that. I'm not sure whether or not he used his own line.
Anyway, it should ring. And any Caller ID system worth its copper should detect that the number Percilia told the Operative to call if he had any other miscellaneous questions was used to dial the number!
-
Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
[Operative's Office]
A disposable cellphone starts ringing, and the Operative picks it up after seeing the familiar number."Percilia."
[The Front]
Because I'm pretty tired of RPing out the process of getting into MURDER, the young drow will be allowed into the elevator and by extension the lobby.

Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
Outside
Fade starts reading through the news.
"That's right. Some are quiet obviouse."
In the other hand Teq may ee Fade playing with 5 balls each of a different color. White, blue, black, green and red.
-
Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
Outside
Teq glances down at the spheres in Fade's hand. "What are those?"
-
Re: [Nexus] MURDER II: Actual Levels of Murder May Vary
[Operative's Office]
"555 East Washington Avenue. And make it snappy."
Percilia replies before she terminates the phone call from her end. There was quite a bit of background noise wherever she was. She's otherwise engaged concurrently or already onsite.
She's quite the prompt gal, circumstances would suggest.
