I didn't catch that right away.
For those of us who don't speak fluent AD&D, what is a Duergar?

I'm not sure if this is 100% right, i don't play D&D, i'm getting my info from Savatore's books, but i'm pretty sure that Duergars are kind of like the dwarven equivilent of a drow, they're evil and live underground, and such,

Yeah, evil dwarven subrace. Most dwarves live underground, of course, but duergar go deeper.

Actually, ALL three things happen. Not exactly like it should be, but, Durkon doesn't help the OOTS, that's the traitor part, you've already posted the kissing part, and Miko tried to kill Roy....

Wow, and the rain stops right after the third one (miko trying to kill roy)

Actually, it's Nale tries to kill Haley, Haley unknowingly betrays the OOTS, and Haley kisses Nale for the first time.
Well, it could be either. :P

Not the most significant, but it made me chuckle, and I've technically never noticed it before.
So there is.

Re: Things you never noticed
A nice detail is how Vaarsuvius consistently refers to Miko not by name, but as "that paladin".

Yes, V didn't like to be refered to as "Elf", so V decided to do the same thing back. I love those details.

Re: Things you never noticed
Comic #690, panel 1.
The wurm do seem to MOVE like a worm should. Snakes would have their entire body in level with the ground.
Nice of Rich to think of that difference.

The goblin with glasses also has braces for correcting irregularitites of his I theet
Sorry for the clumsy expression but that was what my Swedish-English word book produced:)

I just noticed that in this strip, Belkar's Evil is mesured in kilonazis. :smalleek:

Re: Things you never noticed
Nimrod, it's sort of the point; posting about things that have been there but you never noticed until re-reading the strip a hundred times or so:)
It's amazing what people sometimes fail to see, like Cizak here. Kilonazis? Haven't we all noticed that allready? :)
Apparently not:D

Re: Things you never noticed
The first time I read the fight between Xykon and spliced Vaarsuvius I thought V only lost because V was cocky, but I have realized that V actually lost because V was trying to fight a Blaster (Xykon) by being a Blaster, but Xykon has more practice at Blasting so V only became effective once V stopped acting like a Blaster.

Re: Things you never noticed
I just noticed that in this strip, Nale says that he couldn't fool everyone forever, except for maybe the halfling. But then...
-
Re: Things you never noticed
No Cizak, but it is natural to examine the graph closer and find out about the scale being Kilonazis. It is central to the joke. Other things may be not so obvious however, like Quarr only being one pixel innthis strip (first panel).
Still we are all different so you are probably not the only one to miss that Belkars evil is measured in kN:smallsmile:

Re: Things you never noticed
Never noticed that the Giant drew the effects of the wind on the character's clothes before belkar mentioned it. in this comic.
Man details like this just make me admire the giant as a writer AND as an artist even more

In this strip, the drunken Wizard makes a comment about how he could have been a Baker. See any similarities with recent events?

Now THAT is what I call foreshadowing, or at least the typical self-reference which Rich says he likes.

The two men's to the left of the Order in this resturant aren't native azurites. I wonder if they are a reference to something...

Re: Things you never noticed
Mr. Scruffy is either mad about being handled by Durkon or about the fact that Belkar is about to be dangled in front of the worm. (#689)

I don't know if someone already said this one but in this strip http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0301.html, the coffee is seen again later in this one http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0350.html:smallbiggrin:
