We're just on page 32 but I'd like to propose "Bisexuality - It's a great idea" for the next thread title :smalltongue:
What's the joke today? I'm quite confused why they're bringing out identical t-shirts.
I'm quite sure it's less a Big Bang Theory joke and more generally a George Takei joke. :smallwink:
Which he likely also made with regards to the title of that show. :smalltongue:
The last panel. I'm sure this is funny, but I'm not sure why.
Everything before that. God, I'm working some nerd rage up in here.
Sonya is absolutely infuriating here. I realise I should be prepared but damn is she ever clueless about what comes out of her mouth. It's wrong on so many levels it's not even funny.
I literally get angry each time I read it. **** you, Sonya.
Except for the last panel. The last panel is fun.
I think it's kinda funny because Didi has now enforced a T-Shirt on a suddenly-breast-obsessed Sonya, but clearly still isn't wearing pants or knickers. :smalltongue:
I'm also wondering if - and I do so hopefully without giving away too much about my extra curricular activities - the appearance of the phrase 'tag team' is only a BBT joke or also a deliberate innuendo, given the circumstances.....
I know the gig has been up for years now, but I strongly suspect Ma3 is now just an excuse for softcore cartoon porn.
There has been other points to it, and there are other points to it, but it absolutely is a one of the (more consistent) reasons for its existence.
Right now, it's pretty much only that.
It's also a comedy. And has plot!
update
now that's unexpected...
If I were feeling particularly cruel, I'd say something like:
"And the last horse has finally crossed the finishing line"
....
However, I do know more than a few folks that are happily in asexual relationship. I don't think Gary/Yuki would be one of them though.
No, Gary pretty explicitly wants to get laid. That's the whole idea. He might easily be the least sexually indulgent person in the cast, but he still wants to tap that posterior.
Well.... apparently Yuki is not so much selfish than just pretty slow.... And I mean like "a snail pulling a tortoise could outrace her" slow... So, anyone thinks she will actually consider leaving him so he can get a girlfriend that won't kick him in the balls constantly?
It's bonergeddon!
and yeah, yuki s a bad person and has finally understood what is the problem. gary shoudl get laid. he must have build up sex karma like no one. Liek, enough to date supermodels who want him every night for the rest of his life...
For everyone that's suddenly like, "Yuki's not so self-centered after all," it's interesting to note that every single speech bubble of hers in today's comic still centers on the words "I" or "me" (and once "we"). From her perspective it's still not about what Gary or anyone else needs or feels. It's about what Yuki wants. What Yuki might lose and Yuki not being good enough.
In fact, the way that almost everything Yuki says is about "I" or "me" is an interesting phenomenon that you can follow pretty much all the way through the comic. I mean, sure, other people use those words a lot too. Everyone is kind of selfish, but when Yuki talks, it's almost always about herself.
I don't know... If she was so selfish why would she bring up the worries about Gary's weel-being? I see where you are coming from but I think it's just a habit of speech that's pretty common for many people.
I just skimmed through some old comics and happened to stumble upon this old comic about Amber's first... experiments. But that's not why I'm posting this. Look what is there on the bed! I never noticed before!
It's the perverted doll from Eerie Cuties!
I can kinda see where datalaughing is coming from. Yuki isn't asking "Is Gary unhappy?" or "Is Gary in pain?", she's asking "Am *I* doing something that others don't like the look of"?
And in the last panel, it's not "Gary might be unhappy", it's "I might be perceived as being a 'bad' girlfriend" - both are observations on how people might see HER, rather than what effect it's having on Gary or their relationship as a whole.
We might just be reading too deeply into it, armchair-psychology being a popular pass-time amongst webcomic readers, but it's certainly an interesting pattern even if it amounts to something else. :smalltongue:
Yuki is not selfish, she is self-centered, it's very different. She does care about others, but she is oblivious to the harm she can do unless you rub her face in it.
She is not crying becauce she might be perceived as a bad girlfriend but because she just realized she has done wrong and feels bad about it.
Is... is that character growth? I forgot what it looks like.
You mean good karma like. . . TWO porn stars that want to jump him? A French Amazonian goddess that wants him? An asian cuite thats dating him already and seems to finally be getting hit by the clue by four? Not too mention one or two other random hot women. Seriously, all he is missing are two hot twins trying to get some group time with him and he will have a bakers dozen fetishes all after him. Im not saying any of his scenarios are going to end well, but at least he would have sex once with each of them before they learn its nothing but an oral technique and he isnt actually a viking in the sack. Although, by the end, who knows? He might actually learn enough to have game past the oral level.
But right now yuki is going to dash off to gary after getting a little advice, (hopefully), and of course will bust down the door just in time to see some horribly compromising position, and my money is on this time actually being an accident instead of say, amber in the shower. Even odds on whether she beats the girl(s) to death or gary. Though Didi may be happy with another spanking.
It would be character growth if this was a normal comic. But it's probably a prelude to more disasters.
I find it just a little bit sad that Zii is now the most sane and reasonable character in the main cast, and giving what appears to be sound counsel. Then again, having read all the back issues and getting caught up, she has come a long way from what she was. That's probably more a condemnation of how the others seem to be regressing than anything else though. :smalltongue:
