Alia nods as well.
"So am I. Though I am a bit nervous about the extent to which I'll be modified with it?"

Alia nods as well.
"So am I. Though I am a bit nervous about the extent to which I'll be modified with it?"
[Vesa]
You won't get power-plugs unless you go Revenant, which I don't really recommend very much. Otherwise, you can probably choose how much you'll be augmented.
[Vesa]
"I'm certainly not planning on dying anytime soon, yes. Though I might take that option if I do anyway..."
[Vesa's]
Perhaps...
Also, do not take up prostitution.
Just, y'know, in case she ever felt like it. :smalltongue:
[Vesa's]
Alia nods, smiling at her.
"Don't worry, Iru. I don't intend to."
[Vesa's]
She smiles a tiny bit back, nestling back with her friend.
[Vesa's]
Alia happily returns the snuggling, gently stroking Vesa's hair.
[Vesa's]
She smiles quietly, closing her eyes.
If they don't have quarters ready in time, you can always sleep in my bed. I don't actually use it beyond sitting on it, so you wouldn't be intruding.
[Vesa's]
Alia smiles as well, giving Vesa a grateful squeeze.
"Thanks. I'll take you up on that, if I need to. And you can feel free to use my room if you need someplace to get away where your friends won't be bugging you."
[Vesa's]
My... friends?
...
I suppose I have one besides you. Her name is Melody-23 and she is an Escort.
[Vesa's]
Alia frowns slightly. But considering that they all have issues, and she hardly makes friends easily herself, she can't really say that much about it to Vesa...
"What exactly does that mean? And why the number after her name?"
[Vesa's]
It means that her job is, when rented out, to protect and accompany her target.
Also there is usually intercourse involved.
She stretches.
The number may be to differentiate her from various other similar Escort Revenants.
[Vesa's]
"Why exactly did she take that particular job?", Alia inquires sounding rather curious. "And how did you meet her?"
Melody does seem to be a bit of a strange friend for someone who just randomly advised her not to take up prostitution, after all.
[Vesa's]
I do not know why, but as for friendship, she was one of the few people here to approach me and engage me in conversation regularly; she is forward in that way.
[Vesa's]
Alia frowns again, seeming somewhat confused.
"Why don't the other people here talk to you more? I mean, you may not be very humorous sometimes, but you're certainly nice. And I'd think that your being a Revenant wouldn't be too big an issue if they work here, especially for the ones who are Revenants themselves..."
[Vesa's]
When I am out of this room, I am almost always in my harness.
You are used to seeing me like that, but others find it deeply unsettling and are intimidated, it seems.
[Vesa's]
Alia appears rather annoyed about that.
"You know, I didn't get used to you without seeing you. You'd think that they'd be willing to at least make a bloody effort, even if they do find your harness off-putting for some reason.
That said, is there any particular reason that you wear your harness all the time? I'm not saying you shouldn't or anything, but I know you didn't back when we were with Tempest..."
[Vesa's]
I'm on patrol when I go out, so I'll always be in-suit for that... and I don't mind that they are unsettled. I have Melody and you to talk to.
[Vesa's]
Alia smiles faintly, though she also looks a bit concerned, and goes to pull Vesa into her lap.
"So you just stay in your room when you're not on-duty? Why? I know none of us exactly went out much in a general sense, but you didn't just lock yourself in your room except for briefings and training, either, so what happened?"
[Vesa's]
I sometimes wander around in-suit when I'm off duty.
It just... feels natural.
She shrugs.
[Vesa's]
"I can understand that," Alia agrees, smiling a bit more. "It sort of... I don't know, feels safer, to not be without it, yeah?"
[Vesa's]
She nods.
That is accurate, yes.
[Vesa's]
"I suppose it's a good way to weed out people who don't care about what you're actually like, too...", Alia muses, nestling closer to her friend.
[Vesa's]
She nods, and is quiet for a while.
...
I have never understood why your hair is blue.
[Lab]
Well the escort service sounds good and he sights when it is mentioned. His only girlfriend is gone and he never rally got a chance to get that close to anyone else.
"This sounds ... strange. The activities are either in here or include someone following you. Oh and the drug stuff sounds really bad. I think I take a walk until you got the stuff. Do you have anything like a cellphone so I know when it is ready?"
I know things an be time skiped, but maybe I can have a scene while walking Inside.
((Nycca and the adventurers are in Trog's.))
[Vesa's]
Why you chose blue, that is.
[Vesa's]
"I wanted to change how I looked, and I thought it went with my eyes, and helped balance out being so pale," Alia answers quietly, smiling at her.
[Vesa's]
She smiles a little.
Ah, I see...
I've never really said it, but I always liked it.
[Vesa's]
Alia seems rather pleased by that, momentarily giving Vesa a grateful squeeze.
"Thanks, Vesa. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks it looks nice."
Her voice reveals her happiness as well, which appears to be somewhat greater than one might expect - she values her friends' opinion of her considerably more than most, mainly because she really doesn't care at all what anyone else thinks of her.
