You're contradicting the Scotsman there, I suspect he may be more of an authority on the subject than you :P

Traditionally, nothing is worn beneath the kilt, but that doesn't make wearing underwear under the kilt 'wrong' per se.
As Pheehelm said, if asked what is worn under the kilt, the response could either be 'Nothing, everything's in perfect working order', or 'my socks and my shoes'.
Whether a man goes commando or not under his kilt is his own business, same as you wouldn't ask a woman if she goes commando when wearing a skirt.

The main difference between the two examples would be that wearing the corset over the jumper would cause the originally intended use of the corset to be compromised, whereas the wearing (or not as the case may be) of underwear under the kilt has no effect on the intended use of the kilt.

Not really a Scotsman. Just happen to live here. :smallwink:

It's more than possible to wear the corset like that without ruining the intended point of the corset, but that's kind of beside the point. You're not a true Scotsman unless you don't wear anything under your kilt! Yes, I am being facetious.

...I actually did something very akin to that last one to mess with my housemates after I got home, haha.

Only one way to find out, and that involves a time machine and a bottle of whisky. Or at least really good timing. :smalltongue:

Just Luna Plushie
Some of my Warhammer minis.
Just me. My hair is kinda half-dry here is why it looks like that.

Here's me in the Halloween costume walk thingy at work last week.
I went as a survivor of a Class III zombie outbreak, obviously.
Hard to see: the fully-stocked bugout bag on my back, complete with SAS survival guide, water filtration pump, head lamp, compass, maps, and 8 cliff bars. And yes, that's Max Brooks' Zombie Survival Guide in my right hand. :smallwink:

If the world was a Hollywood movie, Overdrive would be the protagonist. Seriously, I'm convinced, it's you.

Someone who looks vaguely like the Fifth Doctor, dressed for some reason in the garb of the Second Doctor, makes an appearance!

Last minute costume - I had no way of attaining a black wig or dying my hair so I just had to shove on the clothes :P

I guess that works. But it's really confusing.

Re: You! (A picture/Media thread) Thread XXXI: Roman Numerals Make Everything Fancy
My dad's side of the family had a do up at Sea World (Gold Coast) for my Detz's* 80th birthday and his and Granny's 60th anniversary. Here's a few from that:
edit: Oh, also! There was a solar eclipse in Australia the other day! I got up at 7am (the horror!) to see it, and although it wasn't a total eclipse here it was still pretty cool. Some clouds came up, but interestingly that just made it possible to see it (and take a picture of it) without needing any filters.

Alright. Picture time!
Out of my parents ENTIRE King sized bed, somehow there is a territory war going on within it.

Warning: many pictures ahead.

Re: You! (A picture/Media thread) Thread XXXI: Roman Numerals Make Everything Fancy
I don't take pictures often, but I do have some. So, here they go!
Christmas last year, at my aunt's house, with one of my presents.
Me with my brothers (both younger than me) and my mom. At my aunt's house again. This time for my mom's 50th boirthday.
Helping with my youngest brother's Eagle Project for Boy Scouts.
At one of my best friend's wedding. I was best man. My hair was tied back for this, so I look a little different. Second from the right if you can't find me.
Picking my youngest brother up for the simple reason of I can.
Me with my longest friend, the night before he left to go on active duty two years ago. He's in the Navy, and has been in Okinawa the whole time. He's due to be out early next year.
And for the sake of giggles, my sixth grade Halloween costume.

I donned a tyrolean hat and a beaver pelt, and then popped a meerschaum pipe in my mouth because I love eccentricity. I'm also writing the most unpleasantly dull essay of my life, and will do anything to keep away from the accursed thing.

Re: You! (A picture/Media thread) Thread XXXI: Roman Numerals Make Everything Fancy
So apparently I have posted no pictures since the beer pong tournament.
That was months ago.
Here goes!
We had a Hallowe'en costume contest. This is me giving my victory speech after winning "Scariest Costume" (All the actual scary costumes didn't show up?)
The prize was a plastic purple cup shaped like a skeletal hand holding a skull, filled with delicious alcohol of some sort.
We started making a skating rink outside our rez! It's not quite working yet, but all we need to do is put the tarp over the boards and then fill it with water to freeze... once it gets cold enough again. That's me at the top.
2 friends came up to visit the 2 of us in Montreal!
The Inter-Rez Council put on a Coffee House talent show. I played violin!
My friend who visited left his shirt. So I made a "found item" post in the theme that our rez has decided on: put the item on your head, point at it, make a face, and take a picture. Literally every "found item" post on facebook now is a variation of this.
We had a rez vs rez trivia war. Which got progressively more difficult, as it was at the campus pub, which has quite affordable and good beers. We got second. I did well personally, but not as well as a few others. I'm useless when it comes to pop culture...
A bunch of Americans didn't go home for American Thanksgiving, so we had a small Thanksgiving dinner which was amazing. There were like, 5 Americans and a whole pile of loving Canadians, French, Brits, Turks, Egyptians and Chinese!
It was delicious.
CHRISTMAS TIME! This is most everyone in my rez! I swear I'm in this photo somewhere.
And this is my floor!
We tried to do a serious victorian-style family photo, but a few people didn't really get it...
Yaaaay so much of me!

Why, I do believe we've met.
Niiiiiiiiiiiipple :mitd:
Also, that eclipse is awesome. I never get to see one. ._.
@Gwyn: You play violin? I have a violin. We should hang.
Also, picture dump because I haven't in ages.
Hooray for the world.
