Path of the Giant barbarian and small size races
One of the games I'm in, I'm not really feeling the monk I made; so I thought I'd make a small sized barbarian. (Too many dragonborn for my Path of the Dragon Tortle to really stand out.) But in memory of Tiny McBig Large Von Huge, the character will be a path of the giant barbarian. And doubling down on the giant thing, take the Giant Foundling background with the Strike of the Giant feat line.
I'm looking for any suggestions on character race as well as additional feats.
Starting level 2, with standard array of stats.
Available books: Almost anything.
Homebrew subject to approval by the DM.
Strike of the Giants: Cloud seems pretty useful with becoming invisible to my target. And following that up later with Guile of the cloud giant. The resistance isn't much for a barbarian, but getting a 30ft teleport is pretty nice. I'm always partial to Sentinel for my melee characters and Great Weapon Master is probably required for barbarians.
Re: Path of the Giant barbarian and small size races
I would not choose Cloud, unless your character doubles as a sneak. The invisibility will disappear (get it) as soon as you go into combat, which is the primary purpose of Barbarians.
I would choose Frost for the cold damage boost and possible movement loss. Keeps enemies from escaping your wrath.
