To be entirely honest, I'd recommend Solars if you're newbie.
Their powers are the simplest to work out.
-
Re: Keychain of Creation IV: The Lore Thing
And they give you a good basis of how powerful the other types are.
Plus, they're shiny!

Re: Keychain of Creation IV: The Lore Thing
Dawn are generally considered- scattered. They pretty much have to specialize in one form of combat to be any good, as such their caste abilities aren't that useful. A team that worked on Exalted grouped up and are writing homebrew as the Ink Monkeys. One of their better works (in the eyes of the populace) is their Dawn Solution, a fix that makes them more effective.
You should research it (Don't have a link right now sorry)

"Pow!" can mean one thing and one thing only.
The Kukla.
It's right behind you!

Re: Keychain of Creation IV: The Lore Thing
I just realized something.
Brock.
*facepalm*

Re: Keychain of Creation IV: The Lore Thing
I guess a couple of young dragon-bloodet just isnt a challenge for an old one.
The question is then if Ten is going to do anything besides beating them up a bit.

Now if only Ten had punched him instead of... *snrk* Meadow... :smallamused:

Re: Keychain of Creation IV: The Lore Thing
Meadow. . . Once again, are we sure this is a guy?
-
Re: Keychain of Creation IV: The Lore Thing
Meadow is such a great name for a Wood-aspect.
Also in a game I once played my (very much male) Lunar Mate was called Impetuous Blossom.
-
Re: Keychain of Creation IV: The Lore Thing
fair enough. . . and he is pretty bishy
-
Re: Keychain of Creation IV: The Lore Thing
Okay, I know this is a pretty silly thing to notice, but is this the first time we've seen Ten Winds' pants?
-
Re: Keychain of Creation IV: The Lore Thing
Tsk. Those two guys have forgotten the most important rule ever: if an old man is threatening you despite being seemingly outmatched, run.

In their defense, the old man was neither bald nor wrinkly nor smiling, so they might just have been not entirely sure if Rule One applied of not :smalltongue:.
Of course, if you're not sure if Rule One applies or not you still should probably run just in case, but still.

Notice how the air darkened in the 4th panel.

THIS IS TRUTH
At least in fiction, but who cares about disclaimers
(Don't go challenging your grandpa to martial arts battles, kids)

Fix'd
Also, Ten Winds is so awesome that when he's truly angry, the Unconquered Sun flinches and looks away in fear.

oh no.....if "Ten Wind Facts" are the new memetic badass meme, I holding you personally responsible :smallsigh:
-
Re: Keychain of Creation IV: The Lore Thing
I imagine they predate the good Raz, Raz.
-
Re: Keychain of Creation IV: The Lore Thing
...Raz, I'm so sorry! I forgot you'd expressed interest! We can fit you in too.
Hooray for Ten Winds facts!
Ten Winds doesn't smoke a pipe. It's just burning itself to get away from him.
-
Re: Keychain of Creation IV: The Lore Thing
I see this going two ways: Either Ten beats up the bandits and drags them to the nearest town for JUSTICE! on a short side trip, or Misho's terrestrial army just got a pair of footsoldiers.

I get an urge to run some kind of game. Likely a short one, and likely with Terrestrials.

Ink Monkeys can be found here.
Calling what they produce homebrew is somewhat disingenuous.
The Ink Monkeys are current developers who worked on the Infernals Book, the Alchemicals Book, Glory To The Most High, Return Of The Scarlet Empress, and a massive amount of errata, to name just the most recent projects. Everything they post in an official capacity on the White Wolf website has the White Wolf Canon Stamp, approved by John Chambers and Eddy Webb.
More clarification and facepalming here.

Drop me a line if you do. Dragon bloods are my second favorite, after alchemicals.
I love the "Oh, ****" moment. Also, Meadow has brown eyes!

As if I didn't have enough errata to go through...The sooner White Wolf bites the bullet and officially codifies/unifies all this stuff as 2.5 Edition, the better.
