Ah, I believe I know where your confusion lies. The Pseudonatural template in Complete Arcane is far from epic; it's only somewhere around Celestial or Fiendish in terms of power IIRC.
The Pseudonatural template from the Epic Level Handbook however... it's on the SRD as well. Among other things, it grants SR equal to HD x 5.

[D&D 3.5] As the Gm, I should avoid ever putting a 15 year old girl who is a Wizard 5 / Alienist 7 again. The Knight did not enjoy being Retributive Polymorphed into a pink fluffy bunny.

Shivering Touch is one of the most broken spells in D&D 3.5: it deals 3d6 Dexterity damage, no save. All the following methods are either ways of making the spell more powerful, or ways of getting more uses of it.

Hellfire Warlock is a very powerful Warlock PrC; it adds plenty of hellfire damage(which bypasses fire resistance) to your Eldritch Blast, but you take a point of Con damage. However, even low-level Binders can bind Naberius, who heals a point of ability damage per round.
This isn't actually that broken, especially not compared to T1 classes, but it's powerful for a low-op game.
*I may no longer take the Invisible Spell metamagic feat.

Invisible Spell makes the spell, well, invisible, and also has no spell level adjustment. Even the basic uses of it are fairly powerful, but it's completely broken when applied to the right spells. For example, Invisible Solid Fog can only be seen by creatures that can see invisible things. So it has the effect of shutting off most effects that can see invisible creatures - but other people are just fine. Invisible Summon Monster [insert number] is even worse, for obvious reasons. Don't even get me started on Invisible Raise Dead.

D&D 3.5 Psions have to choose a discipline. Nomads are Psions who have chosen Psychoportation, which comprises of powers related to movement, time, and most importantly, teleportation. This includes the 9th-level power, teleportation circle, psionic, which is essentially a portal.
I was planning to say something like this during my last game, but the DM went AWOL. :smallannoyed:

Gaming forums in general have plenty of OP builds, but GitP in particular houses many. Partly because a lot of the good stuff from the WotC forums got moved here, and we're archiving the BrilliantGameologists forum handbooks/homebrew here as well.

Invisible spell, it's either broken or not, depending on the exact game, but it's always fun. I've always wanted to play around with invisible illusions, invisible walls of iron, invisible teleportation, invisible telekinesis, invisible finger of death, invisible create undead, and of course invisible contingency.

Yeah, while the idea of being invisible to only those things that can see through invisibility is funny, it doesn't work on any reasonable GM.
* Despite the rules saying otherwise I cannot put all my CP into Erotic Art and Fast Talk.
** I must add more than ranks of wealth, fame, and status to that.
* Cannot blow up the moon just because I can.
** Even if I can reconstruct it later.

Even Apocalyptic settings have their limits.

..Y'all realize that a Wobuffet can be the scariest thing in the world with the Shadow Tag ability, right? That thing's taking down at least one, maybe two enemies before folding.
