The second panel, in my opinion, is one where a little clean up would have greatly helped clarity.

Re: Yet another fantasy gamer comic: discuss
Definitely a Beauty and Beast scenario, sort of. :smalltongue:

Re: Yet another fantasy gamer comic: discuss
So this guy looking for the princess is the King of Drostardy and not what's-his-name who is a duke and likes the ranger right? They look a lot alike.

Yes, it's the king.

Re: Yet another fantasy gamer comic: discuss
Seeing the kind riding alone is weird.
Yet another Yet another fantasy gamer comic thread?

The exorbitantly moustachioed fellow reminds me of one Harcourt Mudd.

Re: Yet another fantasy gamer comic: discuss
Hopefully there won't be anything mirror related on that ship.

Latest episode guest-starring Lord English (not actually Lord English)

Ooh, that's not good. That's never good.

Re: Yet another fantasy gamer comic: discuss
Sorry for the double post, but this arc bugs me a little.
So far we have only seen the plague spread by biting, and it seems to take a fair bit of time for it to manifest even then.
Once they realized what was happening, they should have just lock any bit, but still rational, in irons or shove them overboard.
They've already been shown to take such measures with healthy crew.
-
Re: Yet another fantasy gamer comic: discuss
I think we're about to see why this arc is titled "Adina's Magical Voyage", and not "Adina and crew's Magical Voyage". She's going to swim to the island and journey alone. The rest of the crew has passed the "too dumb to live" threshold.

They crossed that threshold way earlier in the arc.

Yeah, about that . . .

It kind of peeves to be honest. Not only do I rather dislike referential humour in Fantasy in particular, it feels like rather a clumsy way to make it so they can't leave the island.
-
Re: Yet another fantasy gamer comic: discuss
They couldn't leave the island anyway because they're way too far away from anywhere else, for a small rowboat.

Didn't stop Bligh, or Shackleton for that matter, and the latter did it in the Antarctic.

Re: Yet another fantasy gamer comic: discuss
OK, the bird reference was bad enough, but is that a Gav standing behind Safana?
-
Re: Yet another fantasy gamer comic: discuss
No idea, but watch out for the giant carnivorous snail!

What makes you think it's a Gav?

It's vaguely similar to schlock mercenary's gavs. The question is if we're talking about a cameo of some sort why one of those and not the original Gav from Nukees?

Oh him
I thought you meant the legs seen in the last panel of the page where the Angry Bird rescued the young lady from the Ettercap.
Now those are words I did not expect to say.

Re: Yet another fantasy gamer comic: discuss
A very good question in wednesdays comic, who does her hair? Also that naga looks really weird with her head color not matching her body color at all.

She looks quite a bit like a guardian Naga.
Guardian Naga can cast spells, so an Unseen Servant could be her, well servant.
Even if she isn't, if there is other Naga about and their tails are prehensile, they could work in teams.

Re: Yet another fantasy gamer comic: discuss
Safana is more devious then she looks, and she doesn't exactly look like she's anyone you'd buy a used car from. The Demons were definitely outclassed in the "bait and switch" department.

I don't get it. :smallconfused:

Safana made a deal with the Demons to transport anywhere they want on her ship. BUT, before she (or they) can get to her ship, someone has to deal with the zombies who are between them and the temple. Someone like, say, three demons. That's the "fine print" in the agreement.
