Going to guess that the raptor things are actually sort of friendly, judging by the way they are going at the dino-people. They're just being giving a scary introduction is all.

I wouldn't have said so. Or at least it depends on your definition of "norm".
A few of them have left me kind of going "wait, what?" and then having to read them/ look at them again but that happens relatively frequently the first example of this that springs to mind is the Jone Half-Orc arc... I still don't know what was meant to have happened there, the first section seemed pretty standard stuff if a bit repetitive and then I just got lost and then it just sort of ended. All pretty strange. Or was that just me?
I found YAFGC through his Ten Doctors strip but I'll admit to not finishing reading that one because it was just a bit hard to follow, especially seeing as it was still updating at that time, sporadically and with other comics inbetween.
It can be a bit annoying when there are cameos and references too because I don't know what's going on half the time when they happen (although I did appreciate the Flaky Pastry cameo because I read that comic ). Another thing that can confuse issues is that it's all sketches. I like the sketches better than the colour strips (because his inking's just "ok" and his colouring technique's pretty poor at least in comparison to the line art) but clarity isn't the thing sketches are best known for.
When the others were marvelling at her having beheaded them all with her cloak I just sort of went with it, to be honest. Seems like the sort of thing characters like Arachne, Mrs Bloodhand, Clover, Giovanna and Jone pull with some frequency. I'm guessing it was meant to be just the cloak though without any added extras since said extras weren't revealed and I was assuming that the joke there was "Ants have tiny necks, hurr" and thus if you struck them at the right spot they'd be easy to kill. Of course, if you scale the ants up and their necks can still support heads of that size.... well they'd have to be pretty sturdy for them to not just snap with a tiny bit too much movement or a breeze...Quote:

so did all the "oh noes, Taidor is dead" happen of pannel?
Didn't happen at all it seems.
Combine that with the fact we didn't see him actually dead (the lizardman holding a bone could be a bluff after all, it's not like you can ID it) , and, well, I have some doubts.
That or Cadugan is really callous.
I get that they were sort of in a rush and all what with the dinosaurs still being keen to eat them, but there didn't seem to be much reaction from Cadugan and Glon's group to the comment that a member of the other group was being digested. One could argue that we've not seen Cadugan being told what happened but you'd think he might vaguely wonder where his brother went.
Ah well. Maybe drama will errupt once this little tour is over and they have a chance to sit down and talk. The whole thing seems kind of "meh"/ odd so far...
It could be bluff but how would that benefit the dinos, where did the haunch come from and where did Taidor go in that case? Just seems a weird move to have killed off a recurring character like that and barely comment on it.
I expect it's a matter of him not hearing, or else getting too caught up in panic and then weird stuff for it to properly register.
I also expect(/hope :smallfrown:) there is a resurrection spell in the not-too-distant future.
<explain the joke> It's funny because the Gor books are bad.</explain the joke>
Not sure who lira and lara are.
Ha! Valley Elf! I read that Dragon Magazine!
Just when you thought Elves couldnt get any more annoying:smalltongue:
so..
how long till he finds out that he's an "outie"
You'd think the lack of tits would be a fair indication... I mean... it isn't like hes wearing a shirt...
Then again... the tribe seems to have no issues with topless women running around... and he IS an elf...
A man attracted to a flat-chested woman? Well, that's certainly new. :smalltongue:
Wish he didn't have a "consent? what's that lol" face in the third panel though.
Most women have breasts. Period.
My surprise isn't "Oh, hes attracted to women with small breasts" its "How the hell does he confuse that with a woman?"
I hope he does know. That would be a nice twist. :smalltongue:
Three possibilities.
He's an idiot. They don't seem to have a shortage of those in the village. I blame inbreeding.
He thinks all elves are girls. Can be easily linked to the first option.
He noticed Lucas and Cadugan were together, realized Lucas was a man and in his little heteronormative mind, that means Cadugan is a girl.
I favor option A. :smallwink:
Option A does seem most likely =P
Hmmm... I bet that the Night Queen is actually Charlotte
Sweet. Poor Lucas, it might be safer with the ape.
Why can't he just leave it with Charlotte again? Doesn't seem too bad compared to the competition, except maybe for Eddie.
EDIT
Awwww. Charlotte.
Now that's the Charlotte we know and love!
More is better!
Sometimes I forget her alignment. :smallamused:
I find her whole attraction to be pretty cute.
