Hypothetically if this was actually a book, I would put two, three episodes to a volume. The cover has to show the assured constants in each episodes, the field heroes. Then on the inside cover or the back Home base heroes. Episode 1's title would be a scenic shot of the hell dimension with the fortress in the distance and of course an armed conflict.
EDIT: 30 villages.

I'm going nuts and having fun with Photoshop and my tablet...
Anyone need any fun backgrounds?

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XIX: To FAIL, or not to FAIL?
Anyone want to help me draw a Home Base map?
If you don't know the facilities at the complex I'll list them off, any suggestions for anything else is appreciated.
-Lobby (duh)
-Quarters for all 1000 workers there
-Guest Quarters
-Cafeteria
-Library
-Several Labs
-Training Facility for Guards
-Brig
-Portal Room
-Maintenence and Surveilance Room
-Backup Portal Room
-Main Access Hallways
-Emergency Hallways
Anything else, any map help and such or suggestions, would be appreciated.

Guh. I started something but didn't get very far. Couldn't keep track of it all and suck at building layouts. Had a main lobby, admin, and a truckload of bunk rooms near the front though. The centre was open for a courtyard/cafeteria thing which I assume would have a glass covering if that were the case. But that was as far as I got..

It doesn't have to be symmetrical

It's not about being symmetrical, it's about making some gorram sense. I wouldn't, for instance, make guests walk across the entire facility to get to their rooms.

Okay then lets assume that the Lobby is on the South side and the Portal Room is on the North End as far away from the Lobby as can be. How did you have the halls worked out?

I had the east and west ends lined with rooms pretty much the whole way up. There were a few hall breaks to allow them towards the centre, which is where I had the cafeteria. I sort of assumed all important facilities would be nearer to the portal and close to the centre. The training room would probably either be in a basement somewhere or outside entirely in a training yard.
edit: actually I'd proabably put the backup portal in the basement.

I had the training grounds outside too along with half the cafeteria. So let's remove those two from the mix for now. The labs would have to surround the portal room.

Always need a power source, no matter what/where it is, and emergency back-ups in case that source fails. Actually an emergency back-up for everything on the list would be nice (yes, even for the back-up portal room :smalltongue:).
And Tjal doesn't get his own room. He gets a bed-sized closet and a sleeping bag. :smalltongue: I'm serious.

Too true... maybe they could both be in Engineering?
EDIT: Both generators I mean

I think that this is the second cover to portray me in a mocking light. It's getting old. :smallannoyed:

There's a difference. I portrayed him as cowardly and whiny. Not as weak and vulnerable.

Then there was a miscommunication.

Probably. Engineering is also probably in the basement.
Base might also be a group of buildings. Like a military base.
And what about lockerooms for the guards?
And the pig cannons? :smalltongue:

That's an idea but I'd like to keep it mostly indoors.

They each have their own room. Why would they need a locker?

The what?
We also want to keep the portal room as far away from the entrances as possible.

You can't have a millitary or quasi-millitary establishment without some sort of pig-cannon. I mean, it could be anything from a hand-held Guinea Pig luancher, to a full-blown Boar Shooter.

Well yeah, but it's obviously well-funded, so unless their stupid, a pig cannon is only to be expected. I mean, there are countless situations where a Pig cannon is useful, if not needed, especially when you factor in dimensional travel.

Okay... let's put that aside for now.

@CrimsonAngel: Are you still gonna use that Jonas (Moss apprentice) character? It's important for my next comic.

May I answer for him? Afraid not, it didn't work in canon.
