I'll be more subtle when the raucous homeroom class isn't trying to spit on everyone from the upper deck of the blasted ferry, thankyouverymuch.

The rain tapped on my broad-brimmed hat while I was out walking today, large drops switched off of chestnut branches by gusts of wind. What fell from the sky was only a shade larger than mist, scented like the clouds, clustering on deep pink wildflowers and concentrating their color into a glow. The greenery was searing. For those of you who only know ferns as those desiccated, dead draperies in salt-encrusted indoor pots--I'm sorry. Please come outside with me. (walks back out)

Apparenly, as I am informed by a friend, the naked cowboy of Time Square has been replaced by a naked (and old) cowgirllady. I feel disallusioned.
He was also disappointed that he didn't hear the song 'New York' whilst he was there. (he has family there so he probably didn't look too clueless)
Ferns are viscious. Ignore them at your peril. Also don't wear shorts.
ION: Isopods are pretty dang awesome.

Naked cowboy? What the fuzz? I hope you can appreciate why I don't want to Google that.
Also: I don't know that I can name a favorite word. Words are like my childrens--I can't go 'round favoring one over the others.

Re: Admiral Euphoria's Random Banter Thread of Delusional Grandeur #124
He was a busker who stood wearing not a lot other than a cowboy hat over the grill in the centre of Time Square (warm air from the subway I think) and played the guitar. Both times I've been to New York I've seen him. Although I do imagine he isn't there the whole time.
Toast. Toast is a good word to say.

Homestarrunner.
Also, Antediluvian.
Also, @Randman, I have no idea what they played, because that would imply I could distinguish between their various songlytunes.
Also, naked cowboy? We have the spoonman. I think Montreal wins that one, because honestly, who want to see a naked cowboy?

I think he ended up having a commercial on one of our cable networks over here, the USA network. I definitely remember seeing a commercial starring a man calling himself the Naked Cowboy (complete with song...)

Beacon. It's a very nice word.
Ferns tend to shrivel and die around here. I've never seen a plant spontaneously burst into flame yet, but I suspect that they do. We have lots of nice cacti though.

As a reliable, independant source who definatly did not recently recieve a large bribe, I can verify this memory as one I have, as well.
Maybe not the exact same one, but I do remeber the Naked Cowboy character-thingie on the USA Network.

Oh good, it's not just a caffeine-induced hallucination then...
...now I remember why I gave up Mountain Dew...just spent the last few minutes buzzing like a damn hummingbird...
It was the whole "Characters Welcome" thing a few years back. I think it was even a contest that he won.

No other words can describe me right now.
And apart from the coughing, and the occasionaly sneeze, I'm alright. Little sister turned 13 yesterday and I might be going to a theme park on Wednesday.

THAT's what it was! Yus!
Thank you for the large bribe reminding me what the contest was called.

Is that pronounced with one "phlegm" or two?

It would be really cool if there were different parts of the park for different sorts of homocide. One for fratricide, one for patricide, for matricide, for infanticide, and so on. It would be so cool.

Speaking of wich: I am told that my mother was rather critically poisoned by me shortly after my birth.

Well, technically, the rules of grammar call for two, but the vernacular dictates the use of only one.

Three "phlegms" actually.

:smalltongue:
I don't know whether this means he actually READ it (he can read, but it's hard work) or if he was going by the pictures. I do know he went through the entire thing.
Lucky.
My brother's reading with me at a rate of five or so comics a day and we're up to #232 (I cut three off SUnday because he came up when Top Gear was on espite my whole entire: IF TOP GEAR IS ON, GET LOST motif. Even mum knows not to bother when when that show's on because it's the only one I, y'know, watch) now, but I'm still proud.
He's . . . um. Mouse (Little Brother) is um . . .
. . .
fifteen!
I think. But I'm still proud because he's moderately autistic and 'can't read'; and yet he's reading what I'd call quite a text heavy comic with a lot of the humour, plot and character carried out in speech. He's a very good voice actor too; he has a separate voice for each male character.
Because girls can't do boy parts. Except occasionally the lawyers.
He was surprised when Cloaked Warrior became Miko, still confused over V; but graciously he's says I can be V, and I'm just waiting for Mouse to decide what happens when we get to GB'd Roy. :smallamused:
Also; is it wrong that when I first saw Start of Darkness I thought "What's a five and a half year old doing reading Heart of Darkness?" I can only attribute this to my having read it last week and finding it a really very good book, but too fond of the purple prose. I had to go back and reread sections because I didn't get what Conrad was saying. Also I was kahnackered.
Better than Great Expectations though. Can't see why it's a classic.

also the Let's Play people on youtube.
Happened to me last night and the night before. My thought process went: I'm bored, but I've heard that there's a really good Let's Play on the Silent Hill games by some Vega guy. They're blind too, so he's in the same boat as me.
Sunday night I saw all of Slient Hill I in, but I had a headstart as I started at ten.
Last night I was up until half three watching the Let's Play of Silent Hill 2. Didn't finish it. Bad thing because I was up at eight and I fell asleep after five.
So I went back to bed and woke up just in time for lunch.

Jobless.
Woo.
And the only job left is frankly, kitchen work in well, one of the roughest inn/pubs in the district. Mum doesn't want me doing it! And she's been nagging me for months.
Stupid jobless state. I need money.

Bah. There is no excuse to not want to see Petrucci wank with his guitar show what an amazing guitarist he is.
