Re: Goodbye, So Long, Farewell II
Thank you for getting this site up and running again. Having it shut down for a week really made me realize how much fun it is.

Re: Goodbye, So Long, Farewell II
Well, that could have gone better.
So yes, I have returned to drag myself up from being a non-presence, all the way back to being a nonentity again. Let the vague mumbles of apathy and silences of complete indifference ring out in celebration!

Someone needs a platonic hug, methinks.
*comradely hug*

Look on the bright(ish) side: Even if you were universally unnoticed within this forum, you would not be the least popular person here.

Who said being unnoticed was a negative?

Indeed. I find that being invisible has many benefits and perks.

Re: Goodbye, So Long, Farewell II
Just so people know: I will not have access to a computer over the weekend.
...internet, technically, but I won't be browsing on my iPhone too much, I'm trying to watch my phone bills.

Re: Goodbye, So Long, Farewell II
Tomorrow I set out for France to begin walking the Camino de Santiago. Due to this I will be unable to use the internet until I get back in July, so I'll be away from the Playground for about a month. Hopefully the 500 mile walk won't kill me, and I'll see you all soon. Goodbye, you'll all be in my prayers.
Pax vobiscum,
Dragonprime

You made me look up several things! :smalltongue: But wisdom and strength to you.

Farewell Dragonprime.
May your journey be swift and the roads well maintained.

Re: Goodbye, So Long, Farewell II
Good luck Dragonprime! Tell us all about it when you get back!

Re: Goodbye, So Long, Farewell II
Yes. We demand photographs of the landscape of Northern Spain.
-
Re: Goodbye, So Long, Farewell II
Oo! That would be nice, actually!

Re: Goodbye, So Long, Farewell II
Now, I'm not leaving for good, but as I'm moving out next week and getting settled to the new flat, and after that going to Finland so see family and friends for 6ish weeks, I doubt I'll be around much. I also need to get on with drawing and painting commissioned work, uni's not an excuse anymore.
Plus, now that I'm publicly announcing that I'm going I'll be more motivated to pack my stuff, think about real life stuffs and resolve some... :smalltongue:
I'll probably be still available over PM and might write an occasional post on the forum, but I will be slow at responding.
Expect me to come back whining about my sunburn.

Re: Goodbye, So Long, Farewell II
Have fun, Finn. Take piccies for us!

Re: Goodbye, So Long, Farewell II
Enjoy your visit home Milady Finn. Hopefully you'll have fun.
Sunburn in Finland? I'm finding that hard to believe... Don't you have hats in Europe?

Based on Totally Guy's reaction to seeing school kids in Australia wearing broad-brimmed hats, I can only assume the answer is "no".
(also: snow's really bad for sunburn)

Yeah, snow is one of those slightly weird things where
- if you get drenched in freezing water, it's one of the best ways to get the water off and help you survive
- reflections can blind you or burn your skin more efficiently than almost any other surface
- packing it around you keeps you warm
Unintuitive, that's the word I'm looking for. :smallwink:
-
Re: Goodbye, So Long, Farewell II
I think it might be "counterintuitive".

I bow to your superior vocabulary, Flame. Partly because I'm afraid you won't let me pass until I do. :smalltongue:
