Re: BleachitP OOC XI: All wet and tied up.
My opinion of the Fae incident, to quote the Beatles
"When the broken hearted masses agree, there will be a answer, let it be!"
I trust Edge enough to not let it get TOO out of hand, so I don't really see the point in debating something that's already likely been considered in the creation of the faction.

Re: BleachitP OOC XI: All wet and tied up.
Its getting equal treatment as the ARC. I hardly think thats unfair :smallwink:
After all, we all trust Hadrian to make an amazing story, but it was still put under the lamp.
People should be allowed to bring issues up, it is a discussion after all. It just seemed a little strange that every Fae would be that powerful.
-
Re: BleachitP OOC XI: All wet and tied up.
Indeed. I am making sure the head of the Fae has absolutely no destructive power beyond basic Fae super-human strength whatsoever!
He's just more... tricky, is all... :smallamused:

Re: BleachitP OOC XI: All wet and tied up.
Everything has superhuman strength.
Ami is basically still human and she has superhuman strength.
Von Geister is old and decrepit and he could probably punch a whale's face into its tail if he felt like.
Superhuman strenght/speed/endurance is a staple if you want to be meaningful in a combat situation, unless there is a gimmick somewhere.

Re: BleachitP OOC XI: All wet and tied up.
And then there's Takeshi...

I'm not saying that issue's shouldn't be discussed, and they should rightly be, I'm just saying that once something has been brought up, and acknolwedged as needing change, the needed change identified, and the issue agreed upon by all parties, that debate should end.

Exactly. I was just referring to the Fae Contract that bestows such strength, so people don't call shenanigins when I eventually post him up with it.
And when the info for the Fae is put up tomorrow, recruitment into the Grand High Court of the Fae and the High Court of the Fae shall be open to anyone who wishes to join. :smallwink:
-
Re: BleachitP OOC XI: All wet and tied up.
That's what the OOC mediators are for. When we think a discussion is getting out of hand, we step in and stop it.
As it is, I don't feel this is going anywhere bad, as people have a right to be concerned about the Fae.

Re: BleachitP OOC XI: All wet and tied up.
I already have an idea for a Fey character.
The Fourth Wall will not exist for him.
-
Re: BleachitP OOC XI: All wet and tied up.
I'll probably make a Fae honestly, but I would still urge some time for Soul Society to repair after all the attacks and such on it. I think the Truce and all is a great time to facilitate this after the Bount Arc.

Deadpool would like a word with you. :smalltongue:
I might as well sign up as well, maybe another lyrical character, except this one will be based on actually singing.
That, or I might make Morgoth expy for it, Grund the Hammer of the Underworld seems entirely fitting for a Fae Prince/ess.

Probably not in the scope of Fae Contracts, sadly.
And I'm not saying that the Fae attack begins immediately, far from it.
The recruitment will be open, and then I'll open an IC thread for the Palace of the Hierophant of the Truesworn Rune and His Most Illustrious Majesty of the Grand High Court of the Fae. Fae characters can indulge in infighting, skulduggery and debate over what to do about the Crown once scouts have confirmed that it is indeed in Japan. The realms of the various Fae involved can be tacked onto said thread as well.
EDIT: A note for people considering Fae characters. Only the top people have the Crowns, and they're the only means by which a Fae can have a release at all. Said release will unmake the Fae who uses it. Powers instead come from Contracts with various aspects of reality, whether physical or conceptual. A mid-level Contract is roughly equivalent to a shikai in power. High-end Contracts aren't quite bankai in power, but go far beyond bankai in terms of scope and level of control.
-
Re: BleachitP OOC XI: All wet and tied up.
No, that would be his personality. Having conversations with me, stuff like that.
His Contract would involve stories, however.

...
I saw that name and thought of Exalted. I don't know why for sure. I don't even play that game.

Re: BleachitP OOC XI: All wet and tied up.
That's actually where the inspiration for my guy comes from.
He's basically got the personality "I do it for the story".
As in, he'll engage in long-winded explanations of his next move because that's what you do in shonen.

So... Metta? :smalltongue:

Yup. Metta.

Re: BleachitP OOC XI: All wet and tied up.
Stories...
It can't be anything original. Fae physically cannot create anything original, whether physical or artistic. They have to steal ideas from humans.

This is why Ersch and Toho get along so gosh darn well. I love you, and your wrinkly old man hide, Draken. :smalltongue:

Re: BleachitP OOC XI: All wet and tied up.
I honestly think that Bleachitp has moved well into Seinen territory. What with most players being above 18, the rather grimdark story and the fact that Anyone Can Die....its long since lost that shonen edge. :smallwink:

Exactly! Which is why he uses Tropes all the time.
Heck, he will quote the site.
And yes, when he meets Metta, they will probably have brilliant interaction.

Re: BleachitP OOC XI: All wet and tied up.
I can see this guy yo-yoing between being in Old Man Oath's good books and bad books frequently. :smalltongue:
Also, his name should be a dead give-away as to what his aspect of reality is, and why he's in charge.

Any Fae should have a name and a title. The name can be pretty much anything you want. Titles should be in the following format: (Title) of (Adjective/Abverb) (Aspect of Reality). You can mix the order around a little, should you wish.

Re: BleachitP OOC XI: All wet and tied up.
Teller of Woven Tales.
That's it!

You av is, thus you are to me. Just as I could very well be an orange-haired, androgynous male to you. (Possible nudity need not be contemplated.)

My avatar actualy isn't wrinkled either. >_>
Horngeek's Daisuke avatar was wrikled. Von Geister places a bit of effort into his looks. :smalltongue:

Re: BleachitP OOC XI: All wet and tied up.
Oh, and because MSH just brought it up...
Crowns cannot be destroyed. They are manifestations of aspects of reality, so destroying them is largely impossible. A few exceptions exist - i.e. Harubo actually destroying reality.
E.g. destroying the Crown currently in Soul Society would require one to destroy all examples of shadow everywhere, forever. This is obviously not possible, and so the Crown continues to exist.
