Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
And...the discussion thread is gone
Sorry for lateness but IRL hit me like a freight train. Here's 639. As you might expect, it was supposed to be longer but I realized the comic would be gigantic if I didn't cut it off right there.

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
The health bar is not important: keep hitting him, he'll die eventually. However, where's his mana bar? It's a way different fight if he has one
Also, rounded down? Did he kill someone with extra limbs? or fewer?

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
I remember watching Terminator 2 Judgment Day
Spoiler: Terminator 2 (Though seriously. Everyone's seem T2. Who cares?)
Show
To keep the cops busy, the termie (arnold) walks out with a minigun and blasts at the cops and their vehicles for a good two minutes. In complying with John Connor's order from earlier in the movie, he avoids killing any cops. The camera cuts to the Termie's perspective, where he scans the casualties and it reads "0.00."
It has ALWAYS amused me that whoever designed the termies felt the need to give that particular readout a decimal counter, as though SkyNet or whoever thought that at some point, someone might be 1% dead or 34% dead. Hell, what does 99% dead look like?
Comic 640 is up.
edit: I did some thinking and giving how sparsely populated the Fan Comics forum is, I would not be surprised if we get lumped back into the Arts & Crafts forum

An Ork seems to be riding that Tau tank. There's probably an Apocalypse scenario that starts like that.
-
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
I suspect Ork/Tau relations would greatly improve under these circumstances.
OUR DAKKA'S DA SHINIEST DERE IZ. WIT OUR BITZ AN' OUR DAKKA DERE AIN'T GONNA BE NUTTIN' LEFT TA STOMP BY THE TIME WE HAFTA RELOAD, AND YA KNOW WHYZ? CUZ WE'Z DA TAU AND WE'Z HERE TO ZOG YA FOR DA GREATA GOOD!! WAAAAAUGH!!

Clever trick. It's like flying in HhGttG, he made the laws of fusion pay attention again.

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
I don't know why but I LOVE the design on the hypt dragon's wings, I just think it's really cool
Anyways, IRL is gonna hit me like a freight train soon so I thought i'd get a comic out: 642 is up.

You know it's cluster-**** when everyone picks up everyone else and starts trying to kill eachother using eachother.
...You also know it's a cluster-**** when your first attempt to describe the situation doesn't make any sense at all.

It gets better when the good guys are also trying to do that.

Stop trying to make everything make sense!
Comic 643 is up. Because I have nothing else.

This plot is way too thick already! What are you doing?

I've been doing this comic for five years! You should know the answer by now!
And it's Hearts and Hooves Day! Meaning: It's time for our annual dose of creepy Xeno being creepy! Here are some cards for your amusement. Mostly mine though.

The third one is not even a card. It's just plain frightening.

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
It's a Valentine's Day tradition at this point
Comic 644 is almost done. Gimme a minute.

It's a common mistake to make, these days. Don't fret it Savvador.
-
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
Can't expect Hypt's greatest minds to be able to differentiate between individual organics, now can we?
Comic 645 is here. Short, doesn't advance the story at all but I couldn't justify it not being here.
Next down the pipeline is AtC 9 pt 3
-
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
It advances the plot for the romantic fanfiction. Be careful.
-
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
Aren't slashfics the measure of a piece's success? Actually, i'm getting that and haters confused. Ah well they aren't mutually exclusive.
Ask the Custodes 9 pt 3 is...finally done

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
Tzeentch is really terrible at keeping time, but you can't really judge him. Where he comes from, the only measure of time is Khorne repeating speech of "MAIM! KILL! BURN!".
-
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
By a result of his own nature, Tzeentch sometimes tricks Khornates into speaking corruptions of the chant. Doing so also throws off Tzeentch's sense of timing (that and he can't count and scheme at the same time, that's Kairos Fateweaver's job.) and there is enough evidence to make the case that Tzeentch is responsible for the whole "Thrones for the Throne Skull" incident.
Who's to say the Burning of Prospero didn't occur on a tuesday?
Comic 646 is up.

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
When in doubt, use words over violence. After all it may not be as flashy, but it can be all the more practical. Just look at Tzeentch.
Oh wait, worst Chaos God ever :smalltongue:
Is Rand faking that pain btw? Didn't seem like he was all that bothered by previous bouts of attacks before.
-
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
A custode's body perceiving pain? It must be a scheme to confuse the enemy!
-
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
TZEENTCH!! :smallmad:
Comic 647 is finally up.

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
For some reason, I ended the strip asking myself "What are the custodes doing through all of this?" but I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.
Let us see a Laser Dragon in action.
-
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
That actually gives me an idea for a comic I should make fairly soon :smalltongue:
Comic 648 is NOT that comic.

That hasn't prevented "missing" before. I know a fellow who missed a volcano with a Hadouken.

A planet that was exactly at Lagrange Point 3, half an orbit ahead of the earth all the time, always behind the sun.
You can't miss harder than that.

Apparently you can. At least BM was a few miles away from the volcano.

I am totally missing something. Would someone care to explain?
