Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
So he would prefer getting shot with rocket launchers to getting shot with an arrow? :smallconfused:
I'm sure someone would be happy to oblige him. :smallamused:

Y'know, in ways a rocket launcher WOULD be preferable. It's quicker and less painful for one. :smalltongue:
-
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
It's not about the pain, it's about sending a message. Rocket launcher is more efficient, and Rand is a practical person.
-
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
Well, the primary disadvantage a a bazooka as a mail delivery system is usually they have long reload times. Also, they tend to destroy the message, on account of explosions.
-
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
Or else the mailman has to use a catapult...
I just finished reading the comic- it took me a week reading every evening
to read all the 574 comics  It was great  and the
character Powers is really the incarnation of xenophobia....
-
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
:smallconfused: how'd you pull that off? I am yet to reupload the comics I uploaded through Imageshack because i'm lazy, and THOSE comics are literally unreadable because of their shrunkenedness.
-
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
Well, indeed I had some unreadable comics, but the most of them
were readable... I think about 40 pages were low-res and small...
(and even with my single good eye to small to read:smallwink:)
As far I could read I really like this comic in this 40k setting.
Greetings from snowy Holland,

Well, it depends on the launcher.
It would probably be survivable regardless, but if it was the Soldier's rocket launcher, it probably WOULD do less damage than an arrow.

Keep in mind arrows can heal, too. :smalltongue:
But I am glad you enjoy the comic. You do realize the archives are like...50 comics behind, right? :smalltongue:
Comic 575 is up. Now to freakin' UPDATE THEM!! First time since forever!

Found a typo. (99% sure that Kaylethia is a she.)
Also, good to see the mailmen are receptive to complaints.

Yes, but Rand doesn't know that.

All you tailless mammals look the same to Rand. How you all seem to know male and female between you all is beyond him. :smalltongue:
And I had a lot of fun with this one. Comic 576 is up.

So that's what a low charisma looks like. Or possibly low wisdom. Also, this has to be one of the funniest strips in this comic.

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
It is not ignorance or foolishness if you never cared about it. I approve of the message and the opinion.
-
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
Charisma isn't just appearance, it's confidence and force of personality. Besides he's a sorcerer so he needs high Cha. However Wisdom...well...spellcasters can get away with dumping that. :smalltongue:
And Black Crusadin' Pt 1 is up. Based on the events of a Black Crusade game i'm in. I anticipate it's gonna be a four or five parter but i'm terrible at estimating these things.

High mortality rate for the PCs

Seems like your group had quite the enemy casualty pileup Ing. Did you ever take count? :smalltongue:

I have a question for Lord perior.
He said (implied, rather) that the reason he hadn't destroyed this universe was because the guy who made it decided to make one of it's creatures (Snivy) look just like him.
Buuuuuuuuuuut said creature is a 1st-stage, grass-type starter pokemon. Wouldn't that be insulting to a creature that has destroyed an entire universe? To make it's look-a-like something that's probably evolved into something else by gym 2 or 3?
EDIT: Granted, having looked at Snivy's stuff in some other areas said 1st stage starter is the epitome of awesome, but still.
Also, I can translate Psychotic from now on, thanks to Kharn's aid in proper conjugation. I shall translate what the cultists are yelling to the best of my ability in just a moment... kept pg-13 for the sake of the board and our collective sanities.

As the guy who plays Vul, I can say that we fought a lot of hordes, so a precise count is difficult to get.
-
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
I'd place the kill count somewhere between 150 and 300. Given that the encounter was horde-happy and horde magnitudes aren't indicative of actual body count, it could be 10,000.
Comic 577 is up. This one was rather...interesting to make.

How does crossdressing for science work exactly?
...Actually, don't answer that. It's painful to think about :smalltongue:

They say if you crossdress on the same day as a smugleaf, you meet your true love, who then hits you with a ferrari, calling you a creeper.
But hey, free ferrari!

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
I'm pretty sure that, given Rand recent interest in dresses, he didn't just buy a common one, but there's been no mention to it. How good is the dress? Can it be comparable, defensively, to Marnia's? Or did he actually buy just a stupid, ordinary dress?

These custodians are morons.
Look, I'll admit I'm not an expert on geneseed, but I'm pretty sure they don't improve your tongue's ability to resist heat! And even if it did, their ability to heal would be the deciding factor, which they KNOW mortals don't have. I get that after 10,000 years your skills interacting with mortals may be a bit rusty, but custodians are not the only people in the imperial palace, and you have previously ordered pizza that wasn't cooked on the friggen SUN!
For that matter, if it's been 10,000 years since they were mortal and their duties consist entirely of guarding the Imperial Palace, how do they know how to make tea in the first place?! Somehow I doubt 'make tea' is somewhere on the imperial training regimen or guard rotation.
Also, if they're 38 thousand years in the future and Emperor was obsessed with efficiency, why are they using Farenheit, part of the imperial system of measurement, when-
...
Huh. Was that deliberate? Cuz that's actually kinda clever.

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
First off Custodians don't have gene-seed. They're made from a scaled-down version of the process that was used to create the Primarchs. They're mini-primarchs, so in this regard they were never mortal. Also, you assume that Constantin Valdor's occasionally attending councils of the High Lord of Terra is NOT the furthest extent of the Custodes' interactions with mortals. And you'd be right. They call it the Blood Games for a reason, mortals don't have the opportunity to train for millenia. :smalltongue:
Comic 579 is up.
Coming down the pipeline, Ask the Custodes 9, featuring Ahriman the...uhh....something....Champion of Tzeentch, then Black Crusadin' pt 2.

Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
Heh. Makes sense given the setting though. :smalltongue:
-
Re: Well That Was Unexpected Thread II: Now with 230% more lasers!
I allways got the vibe that the custodians allways knew exactly what they were doing; this is just their form of entertainment. Given that they've lived so long, they likely get veeery bored, and have resorted to trollin the mortals who are too piss-themselves scared of them to call them on it.
Rand being a girl now is hilarious, by the way. I love what it's doing to Marnia. :smallamused:
