But I recommend seeing how you feel after the metro and walk and making a decision then.
You mean... I should make the decision after choosing to go back tonight? :smallconfused:

That's how cunning his plan is.

How rude.
Besides, the way you ask the question and the fact you have asked the question means you're going to do the thing that is easiest for you. Which would be to do nothing. I bet you fifty cans of green paint that you don't go anywhere.

Nope. Just observation I'm afraid. See, I'm making Thufir feel bad, or at least resentful. There's not a lot nice about that.
P.S. I'm resting a drink on a hardback copy of Night Watch with its cover off. It's my mousemat.

Third option: I go get a train to Nottingham right now and kill Zero dead.
Actually, I just remembered I need to have a shower, which is definitely happening here, because Newcastle house is cold. S I guess I'll decide after that.

But to know my address you would have to answer me three riddles. And you don't have the grapes.

*ponders long and hard*
I have grapes, I'll just send them to Thufir, then he can catch the train to Nottingham and fight his way through three riddles.
*mails grapes to Thufir*

By that time I'll be halfway to Hong Kong! Ahahahaha!
Besides that, I think you'll find killing me harder than you might think. You see, he with eyes of murderous intent won't hesitate to jam a fork in your oculus.

Well, now we know where you're going, so I can just send Thufir there instead.
Strange personage. Whyfore to Hong Kong? I don't think there're any pirates there.

Ignorance at its finest:

Me: Do you have any proof?
Brother: *ignores the question completely* I know I'm right!

Mmm... I tire of this particular charade.
I think I'll just thumb through these pages with greasey chinese-takeway covered hands before throwing the book at a wall a few times to see if the words fall out.

Wow, your brother knows nothing about using evidence to support his points.
At least he isn't throwing temper tantrums like my brother all because he cannot play a Disney based MMORPGer today.

We still can't figure out how one can utilize a mouse properly with so little space though.

Now that all the snow is (re)shoveled, I moderately enjoy it again :smalltongue:.
IoN, My mind is blown by the vastness this camera lens had to be... Make sure to view the "full" picture"

It seems to be a panoramic photo to me, but still to capture an image THAT far away is going to be from a camera the size of a Honda Civic.
You did click on the picture ot zoom in though, right?

Re: Il'deav Ilah'naie's Indiscreet Intimacies on Indigo Iceboats Random Banter #135
Anansi Boys would be readable for a 13-year old, right?
-
Re: Il'deav Ilah'naie's Indiscreet Intimacies on Indigo Iceboats Random Banter #135
Readable... Yes...
Recommendable... No...
There were aspects of it that caused us intestinal distress, and we've over 8 years of seniority.
Not sure about his other work. Good Omens didn't seem to have anything that would be remotely inappropriate for a 13 year old.
-
Re: Il'deav Ilah'naie's Indiscreet Intimacies on Indigo Iceboats Random Banter #135
Rape and ritual drug use distress, or "Gaiman is a good creepy writer" distress? I've read Good Omens, I don't think it would be readable for a 13-year old, just in terms of prose, not content.
-
Re: Il'deav Ilah'naie's Indiscreet Intimacies on Indigo Iceboats Random Banter #135
Really? I'm sure I can't have been much older than 13 when I read Good Omens...
Anansi Boys, from what I remember (Damnit you're going to compel me to read it again) probably would've been fine for me at age 13.
Seriously, what would be a problem from either of those for a 13 year old?

Observation: my use of profanity is directly proportional to the number of people nearby.
If there are two or more people, I almost never swear.
If there is one person in the room that I am talking to, I am more prone to curse (even then, only mildly).
When alone, I mutter the foulest oaths to myself and anyone nearby.

Readable yes. It's not even explicit, either, as far as I can recall offhand, so no parents will likely be enraged... Creepy, though, it is. But kids like that?

Re: Il'deav Ilah'naie's Indiscreet Intimacies on Indigo Iceboats Random Banter #135
The resident book expert hath arrived; but only for a wee bit.
Good Omens, and Anansi Boys are both perfectly acceptable for thirteen-year-olds; the former rather more than the latter. From what I remember there are incidents of devilish drunkery and some violence, but really, if your nephew's seen any 12/12A/15 film then he'll be fine.
As far as Neil Gaiman goes, the one book by him I emphatically say "Don't buy for a thirteen-year-old!" is American Gods because, well, vaginas with teeth are mentioned.
I actually haven't read the book though, so I'm basing it off TVTropes and a little Wikipedia knowledge.
Stardust and The Graveyard Book are ones I'd give to nine or ten-year-olds because, while they are dark and invove murders they're very fairy tale-like so the children'll be fine.
