Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
Tics. Habits. Word choice. Phrasing. Meter. It's why you rephrase things that are anonymously forwarded.
If I faked a PM from you, it wouldn't sound like a PM from you. It'd sound like me faking a PM from you. You could mimic Trixie's small text thing but except for very short and very specific excerpts it would look off. You would, of course, compensate for that by making it a very short and very specific excerpt.
And really, when it all comes down to it, you have a guy whose back is against the wall proposing something that is, frankly, completely insane. I have no choice but to be straight with the village because the second I mention something inconsistent, I've got an angle.
I have no angle. I have no way to win. I have no prayer here. My only hope is that one or two (or three) villagers are just as crazy as I am and will help take down the real bad guys in this game.
You won't lose doing it. Murska and Tsofu and Darkcomet are brilliant people, but they haven't come up with anything better than "you'll all be wolf chow" because you won't be wolf chow. There's no way for the village to lose the game now, so the only thing you have to decide is whether or not you want to reward Murska and Tsofu and Darkcomet for betraying everyone, killing everyone and then flipping a coin at endgame and it coming up heads. Doesn't matter to them, they walk away with the prize anyway.
And they've argued their tails off that you shouldn't go that route because you have the power to do it.
I didn't, no matter how much I wanted to. It was cooperate or lose.
You have the choice. The reason Murska and Tsofu have argued so much (aside from it being fun) is because right here, right now:
you are in control.

Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
Actually, it's pretty easy to fake a PM in a way that it's believable. Most people don't analyze other people's writing that much. Of course, with the following three-minute examples you'll scour them and then point out things that don't quite fit but nobody would normally look that carefully for there wouldn't be any reason to.

Brrr, I shudder to think what Murska will accomplish with this role with his instant scrying of more than half the players :smalltongue:
There's two I just made up.
Also, to respond to above... He just admitted what he's talking about is completely insane. His back is against the wall and he's just trying to keep staying alive. He actually started with accusations against our motives, then switched to accusing out methods and now he's down to accusing the fluff and claiming that everything the wolf team has done during the entire game has somehow been orchestrated by the neutrals. It's simply ridiculous but he's using the old propaganda method: Repeat something often enough and people will believe it.
There's no way for the village to lose the game now, he states. So why would the village want to prolong the game and cause more casualties by keeping team Evil alive? His only reason is: Team Evil is not as evil as Team Neutral in the fluff. Hey, we've had fluff where the Wolves are actually the good guys, should the players on the Villager side give up there?

Oh for -
I'm dead!
You see me? Dead man walking.
Deady deader than a dead thing in hades!
You see bill?
He's dead!
Deady dead mime more toast than heavily burnt rye!
This is not about survival!
(This is about getting more narrations! Also, something in a specific format such as role PMs is easy to fake. Give me a conversational paragraph, convincingly, from Trixie stating that he's a heffalump and loves to steal honey.)
I've pretty consistently accused your methods, and your motives, and your achievements, and your actions, and your rhetoric and pretty much everything you've said.
And the fact that you aren't simply going 'pah, waste of time' and are instead doing your damnedest to obfuscate and argue and introduce small details that never happened is because you actually see a threat.
So maybe I'm not crazy after all. :smallamused: Maybe the villagers can actually kill you all and walk away happy. And maybe, just maybe, you know that there are good reasons to.

My reasons are:
-You've run this game from start to finish
-Nearly everyone who is dead is dead at your hands
-I've wanted you dead from the start but never had a way to pull it off
-The village doesn't actually lose anything by killing you
The fluff was just a spooky coincidence because it matched exactly with the events of the game.
And really, if you cared about preventing casualties, wouldn't you have turned on us a bit sooner? You could've done this any time you liked.
Oh wait, you care about your casualties. Not about the people who you've claimed to be protecting. Thanks for clearing that up.

Maybe it is easy to fake, but he used two smileys wrong in them. I'd use a different one in these sentences
Oh, and I'd love to see the Heffalump one :smalltongue:
Useless bit of Trivia - they're actually called Łonis-Łasice here

Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
I don't think you use nested colons, either. Heh.
And I have to admit, I asked for the heffalump one just to see it.
-
Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
I like the way you insist on me being brilliant - continue like that and you might just get my vote.
...
Oh - yeah you already have it. :smallamused:
But I don't see anything wrong with our goals.
If you vote out Geesi today as both (?) sides seem to suggest then we'll end up with 3 good people, 3 quite good people and 1 evil mime tomorrow morning.
Then we quickly dispose of the mime and celebrate the victory of goodness, beauty and love in a local picturesque tea-shop.
I asked for Bookworm to be spared, but that's the only request directed at you wolfs that I've had.
(The "kill us and face the consequences" were also the only threat, albeit a flower-wrapped one)
The only cooperation with the wolfs we've had have been on the basis of "you don't kill us and we don't set the mob after you".
I haven't outed you earlier as it would have been quite boring, and it would have been breaking the game for Trixie to do so.
So we've stood by the sidelines cheering both teams on, waving our multicoloured flags, drinking various drinks and whistling at the cheer-leaders - but always keeping an eye on you so it was an even fight.
Now we've just jumped over the fence, grabbed the ball from the almost scoring team evil and passed it to the villagers - its up to them to run like hell and score.
-
Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
I love your analogies!
Only instead of waving flags, you've been shivving people in the back, and instead of grabbing the ball, you're washing your hands, cleaning up the fingerprints and saying "I was on your side all along, now go ahead and turn around so I can get a good stabbing angle."
Oh, that reminds me.
Didn't Tsofu start out today by threatening the village? Something along the lines of "We have lynch control along with Team Evil, so do as we say"?
That sounds like the best invitation to tea and crumpets I've ever heard.

Nope, that was just a statement of facts. (as I said two posts below)
If we had wanted we could have won with team evil as we would have lynch control (5 vs. 3).
It was just to stop any unnecessary discussion about you not being a wolf (if you would have claimed that) by pointing out that if we wanted to win with the wolfs we wouldn't even need to consult the villagers about lynching one of them.
I could just have posted a group-pic with team neutral and team evil laughing, accompanied by the text:
You're doomed suckers!
Oh, and for the record - I haven't made such a picture, I just thought of it now when writing this message.
-
Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
You should make that!
I'm sure it will fit perfectly with the image you're trying to portray. "Villagers but better," "Protectors," "spectators," "YOU'RE DOOMED SUCKERS."
I do find it kind of funny you've migrated between them.

Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]

You've certainly run out of arguments if you're trying to turn that incredibly clear post to something malicious. :smallamused:

Really, I am - and have been - angling for sheer, unmitigated chutzpah.
But I do want to see that poster. Your efforts are a lot of what has made this game fantastic.

Oh, and for the record: I probably agree with all of what Geesi is saying. Vote for Murska, let me kill a neutral, etc. etc. There was probably some other stuff in there too.
-
Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
Might do, might do. (but not today)
As I have all characters "done" it wouldn't take all too much time.
Oh, and for any villager who misunderstood my earlier post:
You are not screwed, but you would have been if we hadn't joined your team...
Edit:
Sure, if you want to.

Wrong, they can also tempt the living with them - Geesi is already to long gone to turn back. -.-
*Eats cheese doodles*
I must say that the last 2 (real) days have been a success in my opinion - whatever the result it have been incredibly fun.
Although I might laugh a lot if the villagers actually give the victory to the wolfs. :smalltongue:
-
Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
Hmm, I think the day should be over now.
Now, I'd have to actually read all these arguments and count everything. Sigh. Give me a few (dozen) minutes (hours) :smalltongue:
-
Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
Pah, only 6 people voted - so its not that much to count. :smalltongue:
(and only 2 changed their votes, Sanity and Geesi).
I like the way that Gessi put both his votes on Murska.

Geesi [Team Evil] was caught.
Theme as requested by Geesi :smalltongue: And ironically, Tsofu was right - if Sanity never voted, voted for Murska, or if Team Evil changed their vote yesterday they would've had a way to win this :smallwink:
Night #7 starts now.

Great comic although I doubt anyone outside europe understands why Judge "Happy" Turtler had to die

Gee, you think? :smallconfused:
I'd expect both H.T. and Drinkhis death cause to be unknown, as no one would have thought of that outside of this little hole :smallamused:
And what you're doing here, anyway? :P

It was a long shot, but there was no reason not to go for it.

Hum, not wanting to know the way any more Geesi? :smallconfused:
Well, while we're waiting for Trixe I can post the thing Geesi asked for.

Would probably been something similar if we'd gone that way...
