Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
By the way:
- How did you (dis)like the game?
- Were the narrations crappy, and why?
- Did the narrator do a (poor) job?
- Was the game (not) balanced?
- Any earth-shattering complaints?
- Any other, more minor complaints?
- Would you (not) play again?
Anyone not answering truthfully (and with hate) will personally meet Marvin, the depressed android.

Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
- How did you (dis)like the game?
I liked it quite a lot.
Interesting with the PP's to give ordinary people powers - and unordinary people unordinary powers.
The point-gain might have been in the lower end, so I don't know if the risk of death would be worth it for most players. (except the neutrals for whom it was the only option for a bit of game-mechanic power)
Great narrations, completely cut of from the theme - but by being awesome you can get forgiven for many things. :smallwink: - Were the narrations crappy, and why?
Nope, I very much enjoyed them - random and silly. - Did the narrator do a (poor) job?
Nope, a rich job. - Was the game (not) balanced?
Well, Murska was in it.
And when Assassin went out we neutrals lost our natural enemy. - Any earth-shattering complaints?
That I hadn't more time to play it - but that's hardly your fault is it? - Any other, more minor complaints?
The background music could be improved. - Would you (not) play again?
I would definitely do it (play again), and give me a good role so I can be lynched on day one for being neutral in the last game. :smallwink:

Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
- How did you (dis)like the game?
I liked it a lot! First time I was a villager and actually influenced the game - Were the narrations crappy, and why?
They were great! Stop belittling yourself! - Did the narrator do a poor job?
Nop and stop begging for compliments, you talented artist you :smallwink: - Was the game (not) balanced?
Euhm, the neutrals had way to much power but I have no idea if that had anything to do with the roles or the people. The people did not help anyway - Any earth-shattering complaints?
I died too soon - Any other, more minor complaints?
All the good powerroles dies too soon - Would you (not) play again?
I would surely play again AND KILL ALL NEUTRALS. Even if we know who the wolves are....

Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
Too tired to fill out the survey, but this is one of the most fun games I've played in ages. Even though I let the other two teams dance me around like a puppet.
-
Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
The neutrals had, in fact, no powers at all, Rakkoon. :smalltongue:
We had nothing but a group of people with a normal vote.
-
Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
You knew your teammates, unlike everyone else.
I'd say that's a pretty potent power. :smalltongue:
-
Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
Game would have been completely different if I knew who to trust in the beginning. There would also be no point in playing but still :smallwink:

Well, we had the 50% more points of power too - and free sharing.
So we had power in the PP's, and even more if we had both...
-
Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
If the other players had voted for the guy with the Devil avatar it would not have mattered much but ah, water under the bridge and such.
-
Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
Actually I think every single villager pointed at Bill.
Just that we had lynch control.
-
Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
You're right...at the time I was sure Frosty and Sheeny voted for me, apparently they did not. And I didn't know Geesi was a wolf.
So Team neutral played as they should have and no villagers are to be blamed.
Good news, I feel much better now
KILL THE NEUTRALS!!
-
Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
Restored your belief in mankind's common sense? :smallwink:

Seriously, if you listened to me and lynched Rakkon instead we could have won, as I both suspected Ns and had a peek of what the Neutrals were up to on day two. But no, you had to follow them like sheep!
At the very least, why the Fool didn't waltzed in and announced "let me grab the PP, guys"? He would have been able to bane himself, and make accurate scries, and yet, all the good powerroles simply seemed to fold and do nothing! We had all these ultra-powers and it seemed we weren't even using regular ones! Even a villager with extra vote, banes and scries would have helped! Why Rakkon didn't grab pp, but let Ns have it? Giving abilities to unknown isn't smart, you know.
And Team Evil, too - you've seen that PM, you had to notice Neutrals didn't helped one of "you" any, and yet, you still gave all your roles away and TPKed anyone unknown. Watching that was pretty sad, as I didn't wanted that outcome :smallfrown:
Seriously, give everyone wolf roles, make Murska the ONLY villager and he will still win due to general sheepishness! :smallsigh:
-
Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
The problem with the PP would be that you could only bane yourself every third day (except for the baner-fool who could bane every odd day too), or use a scry.
The two other nights you were prime targets for the servants killings.

oh and survey
1. How did you (dis)like the game?
I liked this game, well mostly besides being lied to by the neutrals*glare* :smallfurious:
2. Were the narrations crappy, and why?
Hell's no they were awesome loved mine. It was how I felt captured perfectly in a narration.
3. Did the narrator do a (poor) job?
No.
4. Was the game (not) balanced?
I guess so, don't ask me I am not sure.
5. Any earth-shattering complaints?
Kill team neutral?
6. Any other, more minor complaints?
No.
7. Would you (not) play again?
Most defiantly

Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
I hope you guys aren't petty enough to go out and try to spite us. Probably a vain hope, but still. I know I am not going to put up with it if you guys try to get me lynched because of this. :smallannoyed:
-
Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
To be fair, we did give Bill the list of people we need to protect who were all prime villager powerrole targets and overall acted like helping them quite a bit.
Also, see what was it, Paranoia 2? I was a secret role every other player in the game had a secret role to hunt. I got caught since I didn't know that my extra win condition to 'not have my role be revealed' would fail if someone merged with me as they left the game. I still won the game along with everyone who merged with me, and they won twice. :smalltongue:

Except the day Helgraf died there had to be some points left in PP. Therefore, more than one bane, and besides, targeting someone who might be (and almost certainly is) baned is just risk/bad strategy. Don't tell me you haven't baned yourself at least once, Tsofu?
Plus, bane or no bane, PP at lest gives some defense/info. Not grabbing it? No defense, as soon as wolves look badly at you you die. Much worse position, IMHO.

Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
Really, guys, you shouldn't lynch the neutrals (Or me!) For what they did in this game. They played a frankly excellent game, and should be applauded for it.
1. How did you (dis)like the game?
The game was great, Trixie. Most fun WW game I've ever played.
2. Were the narrations crappy, and why?
I loved the narrations!
3. Did the narrator do a (poor) job?
No. You were awesome.
4. Was the game (not) balanced?
Hard to say. I think it was balanced.
5. Any earth-shattering complaints?
Nope.
6. Any other, more minor complaints?
Still no.
7. Would you (not) play again?
I would play again in a heart-beat.
-
Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
Two banes, one the night before Helgraf died (to surprise any luckseeking wolf). The other were on the last night if Bill (for some obscure reason) decided to flip out.
But I'm glad you see it as a plus to be in a PP, I was afraid no one shared my eagerness to sit on a PP. (and I had the motive that we actually needed to sit on the PP for 75% of the time)

Yeah PPs control was good, even if -someone- felt it neccesary to kill me for no good reason.
-
Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
I had the feeling that if I had a PP, just before I can actually do something, the wolves would look at that and said "Hmmm, low calories, powerpoints, DINNER is served".
Oh and Irbis, Seeing that you tried to start a bandwagon against me with wolfy logic, I didn't really have much faith in your other choices
Neutrals: I was never angry at you guys. I was angry/annoyed with the villagers that didn't vote for Bill. Since they apparently do not exist..I'm just sorry we lost, but well played!
-
Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
1. How did you (dis)like the game?
Well, I enjoyed it until I came so close to been able to get rid of Murska but got foiled by my own team :smalltongue:
The narrations still kept me entertained after that though.
2. Were the narrations crappy, and why?
It was great.
3. Did the narrator do a (poor) job?
You did a great job
4. Was the game (not) balanced?
It was pretty balanced. Can't really account for the Murska factor though - people here just never learn even though he does this time and time again.
5. Any earth-shattering complaints?
No.
6. Any other, more minor complaints?
No.
7. Would you (not) play again?
If there's another one, yes.
-
Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
1. How did you (dis)like the game?
Me likely. Not so much being killed night 1, but meh.
2. Were the narrations crappy, and why?
Narrations are good stuff. Love the lil comics.
3. Did the narrator do a (poor) job?
Did fine :smalltongue:
4. Was the game (not) balanced?
Can't say one way or the other.
5. Any earth-shattering complaints?
I got nothing.
6. Any other, more minor complaints?
See answer to 5 :smallamused:
7. Would you (not) play again?
I've rather enjoyed playing these, so you best count me in for another

Pffft, like they didn't did it anyway. Yeah, the alternative was a real winner!
Quote:

Wellllll... your logic was so weak and sideways in that case that you either had to be a wolf, neutral that was sabotaging the game for good guys, or a player that did not pay any attention at all. That is, not very useful.
And frankly, as it turned out that I was right, and when it turned out how crappy your choices were, you should have rethought them and actually listened to me. :smalltongue:
You know, now that I think about it, lynching you instead would be a great victory for Team Good back then :smalltongue:
-
Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
Well we'd actually have directed Billtodamax to kill anyone in the other PP since we had to have it to win and all.
-
Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
Once again, no hard feelings, neutrals
But you were a bunch of manipulative bast....blokes.
-
Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
I wonder if the game might have been more balanced if team neutral started blind?
-
Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
Maybe, but I doubt we'd been blind for long as we had secret win-conditions which we could have coded into our posts.
- And we'd still have people named whom we should protect...
-
Re: Fate III/Final - HWWITGT! [Game Thread]
Is neutral-envy normal for a girl?
Haven't been one for long.
