I find your lack of ford... disturbing. *forcefords*

Float! everyone knows undead can't swim and what if we get stuck on the bottom? THEY WILL WALK UP AND EAT YOUR BRAINS....says the innocent new person on the wagon.
*hides*
You are getting predictable, and when it comes to the undead, "Predictable" means "eaten".
Float.
Yes....I shall rejoice the only way that I know of.
*Plays TF2*
Caulk the waggons...and then ford it anyway.
As a change of pace, we decided to caulk the wagons and float across the river. We thought that maybe, just maybe, it would be crazy enough to work...

It didn't.

Not three steps from the riverbank where RS14 nearly bit the... Water, we ran into another sheet of heavy fog.

"Onward! We can't stop now! This is a bad sign!"
But despite the fog and my barking orders, the other settlers were preoccupied with something along the side of the road.

See guys? You doubted the fording and this is what happened!
Pick vegutables. They look nice and not-at-all-likely to kill us
I noticed that you have very low morale. Bad. This wagon is held together by chewing gum and willpower, without either of them, it will fail. Find a way to either increase the morale or get more chewing gum A.S.A.P.
Willpower, huh? How about the will to power? I hereby declare myself leader of this expedition, and will shoot anyone who complains. Now,onward!pick vegetables, I'm hungry.
In order to try and appease the settlers that were glaring at me, I ordered us to stop and pick vegetables. Another one of the men declared that he was leader of the expedition now, and that anyone saying otherwise would be shot. I looked at the guns, which were all still in my possession, then shot him a glare. That is, a bullet that I named "Glare."

"Look sir, it's Big Hill!"
"...Thank you for that. What else can you tell me?"
"She looks steep."
"Get out of my way."
I approve.
Anchor the wagon and shoot forward to slow us down as we go down the hill.
Also.

Zarah can be our anchor.
I'm off for spring break; won't be back for about a week. Please don't kill me while I'm gone.
Zarah, that was epic, thank you.
Told you to ford it. Did you listen? Nooooooo. Shows you.
Also, anchors away!
I think he's saving reason for the vampires. He's coated it in holy water and everything.
I named my knife Reason.
Anyway, sorry for the sudden disappearance. I had a bit of a busy weekend, but I'm back to continue our journey! ...Although it might not be lasting much long. Let's find out!
I anchored the wagon and made our way down the hill without much fuss. Morale was low, so there were a lot of people screaming at me while I did it, but we managed to get past Big Hill without a single injury. Mark one up for us!

There wasn't much to do at the trading post, so I kept us moving.
http://indolents.com/oregontrail/72-zarahinfection.jpg
Or I would have, if I hadn't passed out...
Antiseptic! Because screams of pain = Treatment!
Also, ford the wound.
Clean the wound! Anti-septic! More rations! DO EVERYTHING YOU CAN FOR THE OVERLORD! For if he falls the remaining wagoners will fall into disarray and chaos, and Anarchy! They'll be dead within seconds! seconds i tell you!
Antiseptics! Clean and dress the wounds! If all else fails, take him behind the trading post and... and... *sniff*
Heathen. Shoot the heathen for daring to suggest that the magnificent overlord is capable of death. We all know that our overlord will stay living as long as our faith is true. but these... Heathens would want it to be that way! they seek to end the overlords life through trickery and deceit! END THEIR LIVES and return to your grand worship of the overlord!
LONG LIVE THE OVERLORD! :smalltongue:
If all else fails enshrine him on a golden throne under the mountain/hill/other landmark, waiting for the next time somebody passes by who will need his considerable fording skills.
Antiseptic it was. I felt a little better, so we pressed onward, to Soda Springs!
http://indolents.com/oregontrail/73-sodasprings.jpg
Unfortunately, there was no soda to be found. There wasn't really much water either, and given the insanely high temperatures we were beginning to deal with, things were not looking up.

Things were really not looking up.
