Commas. He was saying something like 'There was a huge amount of the drug known as Ink in his system' but that would sound stupid if the other librarian already knew what it was.

'It was the chemicals we added to the air. We wanted to make a safer world...'
Okay, that reference was forced.
XD
I think it's likely that it boosts your power and destroys your sanity, like banthesun said.
Holy bananas, is that a Batman Codex?
Well, as long as they don't have a Bat Credit Card.
I'm betting it has to do with things like the Vampire. Though, if/when they do show up, I think a Batman reference will probably be made.
Sanguine and Nocturnal codices (vampires and werewolves). The bat can't be vampires again. An unidentified high codex with the "lightning on wheels" thing.
Makes me wonder if there is a hierarchy of codices or just five high codices and the rest.
Also... CLIFFHANGER!!
Batman can breathe in space.
Just had an idea... Could you counter Ink with Tipp-ex?
Only if you cover the needle with it. :3
XD
Heh. You know who is the most powerful Page-fighter ever? The one everyone of these literati fellow truly fear?
So the Five great codexes
All Seeing
Lunar (moon)
Vampire (Bat)
Water (Drop)
and Lightning (Lightning Bolt Symbol thingy).
To me the codices look like:
All-Seeing
Vampire
Lunar
Merperson
Frankenstein
I believe that the 'lightning on wheels' is supposed to be Jupiter's power.
"A bat Credit card? They had the balls to give one of the greatest superheroes of all time a BAT CREDIT CARD?!?! NO! DOES NOT COMPUTE DOES NOT COMPUTE DOES NOT COMPUTE!"
(Wish I could remember the rest of the nostalgia critic's rant but the sound on my computer doesn't work anymore.)
It could be the Olympian Codex or the Asgardian Codex, relating to the Old Pantheons... and don't ancient temples look like perfect places for the Codices to be? Temples are, after all, the places where gods LIVE... stands to reason that at least a couple of Greek or Roman (or other culture) temples could have been homes for the Codex Personae (Spirit of the Codex, whatever)
New page up.
Some interesting revelations there! Ink, the new zydrate..?
Another page up. Whew, I've been pretty busy lately with a new roommate and such, so my pace is slowing down a bit. I'll try to at least put out a page a day, though, so please check back often.
"Blank slate". Curious. Starting over? A 'clean slate'? The arm things remind me of Nazis. Tired. Cool page.
Interesting... very interesting...
I had a gut instinct there was a bloodline thing working here (what with uncle having the cross that became the Whitebox Weapon) but the reveal still came as a surprise! Excellent work!
When everyone guesses a plot point before it's revealed, one of two things happens:
1-They claim the plot sucks cause it's too obvious.
2-It's satisfying. 'Hell yeah I got it right!'
This was the second. ;P
...essentially, you say the first if you already dislike it. XD
And the second if it's good.
Y'know, I'd find it easier to take the "All-Seeing" guys seriously as super-awesome intelligence guys if they had more than two eyedolls. Especially since they'd likely want to keep one of them around to see where they're going. :smalltongue:
Maybe they could have a spell which divides their eyes into smaller, less perceptive ones or something. Naturally, these eyes wouldn't be able to use any offensive abilities to prevent Beam Spam.
Or they could, to allow beamspam. (Shot)
They WERE talking about the chapter as a whole, not individual pages. If only a couple eyedolls stay behind out of all of them and the rest send out both, that's a lot of eyes in the sky. Then if they really need them the ones left behind can yell out a codeword and the rest of the eyes blink back or something.
So they get one eye flying around, invisible to the general populace and easy to hide otherwise (It's small). That's alot more than anybody else gets.
