Huh. I thought I just read the newest one. o.O
615 isn't out yet. Right?

New chap but... well... not much new. Clarification on the Target-power, evil fish men are evil, Luffy's about to meet Jinbei... And poor hachi got badly beat up. Jerks.
Apart from that.... *shrug* Not much, is there?
Hacchi seems to attract a lot of punishment, doesn't he? I still don't understand why the Racist Sharks feel they need to wreck their own island as part of their move against humans, but whatever.
Explaining the target power offers some interesting possible fighting developments. He can't swim, but can he still breathe underwater? And as long as he holds onto his power to throw things at the Mermaid Princess, he can only target one thing at a time. Even washing his hands might strip the power away, which may or may not be important given how fights in One Piece can go sometimes.
The Mermaid princess's interest in adventure might be foreshadowing for the people predicting her coming along, but Oda might just be faking us out there. Too early to tell.
So I'm thinking it would be awesome for Van Dekken to try that arrow storm trick on Usopp, only for Usopp to shoot them all down.
It'd also be awesome if Usop somehow fooled Decken to dope slap himself, causing "mah tomato man" to be hoisted by his own petard.
Yo!
I'm personally really curious about Luffy and Jimbe talking again, most specifically because I want to hear what he's got to say about Hodi Jones.
Right now we've got 3 notorious/big villains present in this arc, Hodi, VandenDecker and Caribou without any clear signs of one being undeniably superior to the other.
(Logia user, hax paramecia user & a guy with lots and lots of drugs); I think the moment we know what Jimbe has to say about Hodi we'll have a much better idea of what the matchups will be like in this arc.
Right now I'm still a bit confused by the fact that there's no villain who's genuinly put above the others when it comes to combat strenght and/or clear leadership over the others.
Have to say I'm really enjoying this arc so far though, I missed seeing all the straw hats again!
I must say that to me Hodi seems like he is quite a bit over the rest in leadership, while Cariou on the other hand seems mostly to be a joke.Quote:

FTFY.
Yanno, the appearance of a fishman with a Devil Fruit power has made me wonder about such crazy things as the kraken eating the Hito Hito no Mi. :smalltongue: But seriously though, this means he cannot go into the water, where fishman are ten times stronger than normal humans? Shame for him. Wonder how he got that exactly though.
Yay, new chap. Bit too much talk for my taste. Lot's of buildup. The evil pirates have arrived. Robo-boy is talking to his teachers younger brother, Robin is looking for another.. what's the name? Giant stone thing with old writing on it. You know the thing. And... uh... well, yeah.
Next time (I hope) Zoro kills 2/3 of the pirates and/or Jinbei talks zo Luffy/HUGE princess Shirahoshi. (I'm getting curious how Sanji'd react to her)
On an of note: Looking at the colored after page I notice again ho massively exaggerated Nami's and Robin's... proportions are. Yet...
I like him simply because I thought of the exact same thing when I first got the full idea of Devil Fruits. Apparently Choppers Kung-Fu Point resembles the people he's been stuck with for so long on that island. Don's (is that the guy who's the relative of Tom's name?) explanation for fishman heredity makes me think of a society where everyone was adopted, and so, the children didn't resemble the parents. I kind of hate the specist fishmen simply because I find their logic no better than the mistreatment the humans gave them (their feeling most of the hate because of a guy that decided to look past that and save the people he hates so much?) I also would like to see movie 10. /end hyperactive rant
I don't know. The whole specists topic doesn't seem as iportant to me. Okay, so there are a bunch of jerks who are idiots. Great, they will get never asses kicked soon enough anyway. It's not bad but it just seems to me unnecessary.
On fish people genetics... that was freaky. I didn't think about it until now but imagine some small/normal sized couple suddenly having a kid the size of Neptune or such because they have a giant octopus somewhere among their ancestors. Poor woman.
Hey, anyone here watch one piece anime? Anyway, I was thinking that one piece got jrpg structure (move from one town to another, collect nakama, upgrade every few town) and the soundtrack is really jrpg-ish compared to usual shonen.
I just want to ask, what are your favourite songs from one piece's soundtrack?
Except for Overtaken. That's everyone's favourite.
Does Binks' Sake count?
If anything, the genetics show they're somewhat complicated, if Phenotypes can last that long...
You mean just the original soundtrack and theme tunes, or does that time when they played a piece from Dvorak's New World Symphony during Crocodile's defeat at the hands of Luffy count?
If yes, then that. If not, then the original We Are, and Fight along with Overtaken for in-episode music.
Whoho! thats the kind of episodes i like, epic fights sillyness in a propper mix.
Wonder why Sanji didnt freak out at the sight of the princess, either its a delayed reaction, or else she is simply to big ?
Either way, what im really looking forward to now is to see Zorro in a serious fight at last
Yeah, I'm pretty happy with this chater as well. Though, Zorro is fighting the guy under water. Now we'll have to see if this means he will have trouble or the fish guy will have any chance at all.
I'd assume Sanji didn't look at the princes yet or some such? Guess we'll see next time. (Hehe, Blowfish)
Well, he would still have rivers and lakes to play in.Quote:
The only thing that can be worse is a human eating a zoan fruit of the type... fish.
Since the zoan fruits are for specific types of animals, the seawater fish types are totally screwed, and there can be more than one like this.
Who knows? maybe it will be a future filler story arc of a group of people with the worst possible "powers".
I seriously doubt it, the general theme has been that even the most stupid DF power has great aplications if used correctly, take fx something as dumb as doors, soap or rubber.Quote:

I think there were way more stupid powers than 'pushing things' or 'doors'.
Heck, once the series is over we need to figure out what Oda's best and worse ideas for fruits were... (Well, I'd say khaine is right, it's mostly down to application)
