no I dont think alignment needs to change
I asked cause lots of 60's cyborgs stereotypically flip out and go evil
Humanoid with an X/day summon spell is what I was aiming at, with perhaps a choice between Nature's Ally and Summon Monster. The fluff:
"We aren't fiends... We just command them."
Sargon Brel-Tia, Akkidae Warlock.
Akkidae are decendants of humans who mastered powerful Conjuration magic. Their ancient homeland, Akkid, was destroyed by an incursion of Celestials, Paladins, and other servants of good, thus causing them to wander the world, selling their magic to the highest bidder. Along the way, they turned to desperate measures to regain their power-harbouring the influence of Baator in their bodies. This made them powerful Warlocks, but stripped their normal appearance away. Today, they still look human, but many have fiendish body parts, such as small horns, glowing red eyes, or scaled skin.
Normal human ages.
Names: (Either sex) Abdiel, Asig, Behd, Bhat, Sargon, Sutich, Tentaat, Wiheb.
Adventures: The local despot has money, you have Eldrich powers. You can probably do a deal...
The yokels round here do not appreciate the finer arts of summoning, and have brought round the torches and pichforks to argue their point of view.
One of the Celestials who destroyed the old kingdom has been spotted serving as a mount to a nearby Paladin. ATTACK THE HORSE!
I'm thinking, could it be a feat that they can summon other members of their race like demons and devils can? Shouldn't be too unbalanced.
Thank you so much for taking this on! You're awesome .
Inuyasha: DO you like special weapon as written?
Silverbit:
Do the Akkidae have a racial language?
I assume they're LE and worship Devils or LE Gods?
WHat environment was their homeland (desert, etc)
Do they have racial allies/enemies?
Racial language: Yes, probably Infernal.
Alignment/Beliefs: LE, worship anyone LE or LN connected with magic or Baator, such as Wee Jas, maybe Hextor for the more martial.
Homeland: Probably desert; it fits with the name. Akkad, or Agade was a real city-state in Mesopotamia, y'know. I've just stolen the name for my own culture.
Racial enemies: Celestials, Paladins, anyone who gets powers from the upper planes, essentially.
Racial allies: Fiends, obviously; they need to be on good terms with the guys they summon. Apart from that, who would consort with what are essentially a race of Demi-tieflings?
I like the modifications to the adventures :smallamused:!
These might work for Pathfinder; I can see them being good Summoners. They wouldn't need much of a change for PF, would they? Thanks again for making these for me!
yea I like how its written :) but can you clarify the spells level for the special attack? and actually go ahead and make it evil, your right :)
Clarify in what way? Do you mean what level of spell you can choose or what the caster level is?
Whoop! I like the Akkidae! They just fit what I imagined. Thanks! Bhu, you are awesome.
yes thanks :)
Left a surprise in the Akkidae and Cyborg posts for you guys
I updated the posts, they list more options :smallwink:
oh yea. cool :D
Liking the Akkidae so far !
Cyborg is done except for flaws and any additions you want
Akkidae are done except for racial substitution levels
Akkidae is done
Inu: How many Flaws ou want for the cyborg?
well I do know one thing missing that I would like. Mental protection, granting power resistance
But for some defects uuhm, maybe something like this
Partial rejection
Your mechanics are not bound to you well, and are interfering with your organic functions, -4 to fortitude saves -2 HP per hit die
-1 LA
Cyberphrenia
Your mechanics are slowly taking your sanity away...they whisper about things...bad things, also making you less social, people do not want to be around you. -4 to will saves -2 charisma
-1 LA
Obsolete mechanics
Your mechanics are very old, and they are very very bulky...you are hardly able to move under all this weight. -4 reflex saves and -10 to your speed
-1 LA
Feel free to change them, those are the only ones I can think of ATM but I think their pretty good
Thanks Bhu! You're awesome, for making something for a random stranger on the internet. Thank you again!
I edited them in with some slight revisions and added a few more. You like?
I have been asked on another forum to do templates for fractional, derivative, exponential, absolute, and imaginary bears. For once my muse is drawign a blank. Anyone have any thoughts?
EXPONENTIAL
Exponential is an Inherited Template that can be applied to any Animal.
Size and Type: Add changes to Size Class or creature type, and any subtypes that may be gained.
Hit Dice: If the Hit Die type changes because the creature changed type (or conversely if it doesn’t) note that here.
Speed: Not any changes in speed and any lost or additional movement types. If Flight is gained specify what it’s maneuverability class is.
Armor Class: Note any changes to the base creatures natural armor bonus, or if it gains any bonuses to Armor Class such as Deflection.
Attacks: Note any natural attacks gained here. If the base Attack Bonus must be recalculated because the base creature changed Type (or conversely if it doesn’t) also mention that here.
Damage: Note any changes to damage (usually due to Size Class changes) here.
Special Attacks: Retains all Special Attacks of the Base Creature and Gains the following:

Fractional: Tauric maybe?
Derivative: *shrugs*
Exponential: Maybe when you kill it, two more appear?
Absolute: Legendary?
Imaginary: Ghost or other insubstantial template?
They were described to me as thus:
The exponential bear (as in bear to the bearth)
The imaginary bear (as in bear to the negative bearth)
You know maybe template was the wrong way to go with this. Maybe i should do them as specific critters. It'll make cr a helluva lot easier to figure. I have an idea for exponential or imaginary bears using a multiplier of some sort. Im just not sure how it would work with cr.
Inu you want more flaws or abilities on yours?
no the cyborg is good, I think i might be able to take a stab at the exponential and imaginary templates and the other ones :) so let me see
imaginary: hallucinatory animal
absolute: super animal
exponential: multi headed multi limbed?
and derivitive: animals made up of smaller versions of itself?
Absolute bear I have a decent idea for already. Imaginary and Exponential imply a form of multiplication (negative in the case of the Imaginary), but that makes CR difficult. Plus is it a set or variable multiplier? Fractional and Derivative bears I'm unsure of. Maybe the Fractional Bears could split like Oozes.
