Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXXIV - "Go Go Power Lanterns!"
Thor can go toe-to-toe with the Hulk.
The Hulk got really really angry once and punched Superman, and it actually sort of stung.
I think Superman wins here.

The Hulk and Thor are entirely different cases. Hulk =/= Thor when it comes to Superman, mainly because of the weakness to magic.
It all depends on circumstance, I think. For example, I think Q's kinda dinked when it comes to a fight with Thor because (as far as I know) he doesn't have any real weaknesses.

He's a god of thunder and lightning, there's a very easy solution:
Throw water balloons at him

Thor made rainstorms in Norse mythology, water balloons will just make you look silly in front of the armed Viking god. :smalltongue:
He also used the "No man can go through here. Well yeah? I'M A GOD!" method at least once in the Ultimate Universe.
I am more worryied about the guy in underwear, though, we don't have any bees to scare [S]Batman[/S what-did-we-call-him-again off. :smalleek::smalltongue:

I would do but my Desktop (with Inkscape and my files) has desided to stop sending data to the screen so I need to get it fixed.
Also as Marvel and DC arnt the same universe I think both Thor and Superman are equal... as would any Marvel and DC character.

But then you can't have fun debates over who would win in a fight, Marvel Character or DC Character :smallfrown:

They made a mini-series about that, the battles were won by popularity vote.
Also, if any Marvel character is equal to any DC character does that mean that Beast can go toe to toe with the Martian Manhunter? :smalltongue:

SO all Marvel and DC characters are equal? Does that mean Jimmy Olsen can go up against Thanos? :smalltongue:

Okay what I ment was all DC HEROES can go up against all Marvel HEROES.
Because its different universes.
For all we know in the standared Marvel universe the people are 100 foot high and made of steel and jam! :P
So to put them in a single universe would be taking them out of context.
Also I'm sick today D=
I dunno what's wrong with me other then I've been cold and trembling all day, stupidly tired and contipated too T.T
And I have a job interview tomorrow so I'm kinda screwed :smallfrown:

So Jaime Reyes vs Tony Stark, who would win? :smalltongue: Oh Peacemaker and Rhodie are there, they can talk to their guy but not be attacked or physically interfere in the fight.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXXIV - "Go Go Power Lanterns!"
Who's Jamie Reyes? Also okay fine whatever I retract my comment >.<
Stop picking on me D=

Who's Jaime Reyes?
I was thinking something like Joker vs Spiderman (Bad pun olympics, anybody? =D) or Thor vs Lex Luthor. Or Dr.Doom vs batman (8bit theatre ftw?)
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXXIV - "Go Go Power Lanterns!"
Jaime Reyes = Blue Beetle
Personally I'd say Stark wins, with or without armours. Stark has the resources to pull of just about anything he wants in addition to some serious martial training, and Iron Man has 100% control over his suit.
-
Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXXIV - "Go Go Power Lanterns!"
I dunno enough about blue beetle to say one way or the other... at least well enough to be a witness in court.
But if pressed, i would say Blue Beetle since the beetle can separate from Jaime and/or absorb the energy which stark needs to both live and operate his suit.
Speaking of which, how does War Machine operate without the arc reactor in tony's chest?

Ostensibly in the comics it involves solar power (though personally I'd be happier if it was a draining battery, I liked the claustrophobia Rhodes has in the animated series), but in the movie I think it's just a mounted reactor like Vanko uses.

How about... Keveak's kobold vs...
Darklord Bright's Darklord!!

Rand. Unlike MR, we actually let Rand get away with the totally Mary-Sue things he comes up with and accept them as canon.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion Thread XXXIV - "Go Go Power Lanterns!"
Master ranger definatly

Well, maybe because Rand knew how to play them? I mean, he wasn't breaking the plot or anything, it was damn good....

Whether or not, I'd still go with Keveak's kobolds. Any of them would hold up against ABR DarklordBright, whom, if you recall, was a cute harmless villain who failed a lot for comedic effect.

coming up with matchups while avoiding your own characters and avoiding inflating your own ego is tough :smallfrown:

Apparently there have been more than 190 ABR artists and everyone of them made either one or more characters to work with....I'm sure it's not THAT hard:smalltongue:
