He can shoot bullets out of the air, using his electrokinesis, so long as he's alert.
Why do you want Souji to be sniped so badly? :smallconfused: Aren't there other forms of non-lethal attack?
Anyways, that would presumably mess up the highly unstable reason I have for why they're capturing him.
I am not telling you because it is a future plot point you see
By the way, is Souji wearing a uniform? If he is, which school is it from?
{Double post}
Perhaps we should arrange some other hazards for people to engage aside from Souji. Keeping all of the game's current plot centred around the hunt for one individual seems very risky. If we instead have multiple fights and events going on across the city, then it gives our vast array of powerful fighters extra options, as well as taking pressure off both Souji and Terry.
I could make a gang of criminals for everyone to deal with. The kind that pull small jobs that the higher ups don't bother to deal with but are dangerous for the people caught up in them.
I was attempting to set up something like that with Ivaz. However, with her current injury, she won't do much.
However...if somebody wants to have a character as a member of her little gang, that could be worked with.
How about an unstable sickly looking kid who works with hazardous chemicals and who can control mercury?
As far as i've seen Ivaz isn't too friendly with espers, so any esper in her gang is out of the question, although if Carver becomes a member of judgement he could work on traking down Izvaz's gang?
If you'd like Ivaz to recover from her injuries quickly, it can be arranged. All that's needed is for her to be captured by GATE's resident doctor when he's testing out one of his more benign procedures; 'Benign' in this case meaning 'patient has at least a 10% chance of surviving with only minor mental trauma'.
We do have the non-moving plot with the kids investigating the kidnapping attempt and strange age-changing goons, but I concur. We may need to split the characters into smaller groups.
Anyone up for sending some students on a field trip with malfunctioning robots? That could keep them busy for a while. :3
I'd be up for sending Alia, Keveak.
Carver might be up for that, (even if his ability doesnt work on robots :smallfrown:) as long as theres something other than just robots I'm up for it.
I think I could think of something non-robotic too, what was Carver's abilities? I forgot.
Whomever controls security, I think.
Katsu was checking the windows and doors for the best way in, someone was distracting and Lillith's character was wondering how she got involved in all this.
... I am bad with names, sorry. m(_ _)m
He affects the sensory portion of the brain via a visual pathway, meaning he can cause advanced illusions as long as he is able to make eye contact.
The field trip idea sounds quite promising. Perhaps a joint effort of some sort between Tokiwadai and Azabu? Also, if anyone has a character which they feel isn't getting a chance to shine, then by all means speak up.
That could work. Or, an undercover sort of thing. I mean, if an ESPer hides their abilities, Ivaz won't be able to tell. Not like she does background checks on people.
...You know...I probably should do that...
Gah! No! No fourth wall breaking for you! Shoo!
...Well, I don't think I'd try to make that happen...but, if it does, it does.
Well, gee, thanks.
I said go away!
Anything involving Tokiwadai, I'd like Krystal involved.
Speaking of Tokiwadai, some more information on it would be nice. From what I saw when Krystal was being introduced (for example, being required to wear the uniform even when out of school.), Alia would probably throw herself off a cliff or something if she went there, but I'm not sure how accurate my impression of it was.
If there's a feild trip, Frank might show up as a supervisor of some kind. He'd probably treat the whole thing like a vacation though.
Well then, Frank might be surprised to find a familiar looking young man wearing an azabu academy uniform on this trip as well, although unlike before he now has Blue Hair..
Even if Carver is physically and mentally qualified to join Judgement, wouldn't they also check on his moral character? Given what we've seen of him so far, a background check is likely to reveal more than a few blemishes on his record.
If its appearances in canon are any judge, Tokiwadai actually looks like a rather pleasant place to attend. Being a school for wealthy (or well connected) young ladies, its facilities and dorms are very luxurious. But yes, freedom of expression doesn't exactly seem to be at the top of their list of priorities. Tokiwadai students are expected to be living examples of the school's high ideals, and to wear the uniform at all times to show their pride in it. In short, its a school which breathes 'Ojou-sama' through every pore.
Or at least, that's how it appears to the outside world. In practice we've seen that they also harbour (for example) lecherous underwear thieves and violent, shorts-wearing tsunderes among their ranks. Obviously even a place like Tokiwadai can't have a 100% success rate...
Hold on: When is this trip taking place? I'd assumed it was going to be IC today, so as to give otherwise uninvolved Tokiwadai and Azabu students something to do.
The thing is, up until this point he's been dealing in the infornmeation business, discretely at that. Along with the fact that the droup he worked for would try and cover up some of his actions, to preserve his use as an informant.
Which is my explanination as to why doing a brackground check wouldn't come up with much on carver.
I would have thought that Judgement brings up background checks as a matter of course, regardless of the person involved. Oh well.
Also, where is Terry? Blah.
Writing an essay, why? I have school in like an hour. :smallconfused:
Because when you're gone, some people are being left unable to do anything meaningful. As much as I've enjoyed this plot, dependence on a single player (no matter who that player might be) to drive the action could actually turn into a major problem if we don't do something about it. If this RP is going to thrive, we need to give people opportunities to post whenever they're in the mood to do so.
So with that in mind, let's get started on some threats, disasters and wholesome activities to occupy the 'Souji hunters' while Souji himself isn't available to entertain them.
I have noticed that Souji is becoming a sort of... plot device. Since the jumpstart of the game, he seems to be the main focus of every single plot important event so far.
Like the Onizuka thing. I had planned for that to just be something clever on the side, to occupy some time. Not to turn into a riot deserving of Anti-Skill.
I've got an idea that could occupy them. Considering that Souji's untracked by the grid, they'll have to spend some time looking for him, as he's not a registered ESPer.
I only pray that this will take longer than it takes me to return from school. :smalltongue:
Being important to the plot isn't a problem, so long as it's an indirect importance. The Onizuka incident is a good example: Though Souji was the 'mastermind' behind it, he wasn't necessary to keep it running. The characters involved were able to react to the challenges he'd created without you (the player) needing to directly guide them. To put it another way, Souji seems to work better as an idea than a physical threat, at least when he's operating on such a large scale.
