Re: Star Wars - Durasteel
Marina - 7227 - Spitfire
Fighting a Sith barehanded is normally a risky proposition: make one move wrong and you get a hand lopped off, let them react and you get a hand lopped off, retreat and you're liable to get a burst of lightning to the face. But this fellow has dropped his lightsaber for a momentary advantage, and Marina pounces. Surrender, hah. She's not sure what the chief was thinking; they haven't got time to haul around prisoners, and you don't try to interrogate someone who can mess with your head. It's stupid.
Lightsaber or not, the Twi'lek is a Sith, and that means don't give him an instant to react. Marina moves in a blur of speed, slamming an armored hand into his gut to send him reeling off-balance; she follows that up with a blow to the knee, trying to topple him.

Damage [roll1]
If he takes damage, Marina uses Echani Training and Wrruushi Expertise (each a free action). Neither of the following attacks deal damage, and both target Fortitude rather than Reflex.
Echani Training: [roll2] On a hit, the Sith is knocked prone.
Wrruushi Expertise: [roll3] On a hit, the Sith can take only a single swift action on his next turn.
Oh, and she gains 2 bonus hit points from the Tough as Durasteel ability. Speaking of which:

It's the Tough as Durasteel class ability from the Martial Arts Master prestige class (Galaxy at War, pages 32-33). It's neither a talent nor a feat, so I wasn't sure where to list it, and ended up forgetting about it entirely until now. The gist of it is that Marina gets bonus hit points (2, at her current level) whenever she damages someone with an unarmed attack. Which hasn't happened yet, unless she hits this round- I was just curious for later.
Looking at the description, it doesn't actually include any clause about not stacking.

That initial attack roll doesn't look too good. On a miss, I'll use Desperate Gambit to re-roll it, which will cause Marina takes a -2 penalty to Reflex Defense this round.
Re-roll: [roll0]
Note that if the initial roll of 24 was enough to hit, the reroll doesn't take place.

Of course he goes first-he has the added Initiative bonus of having Replied first.
:smalltongue:
As Soonto sinks blaster bolt after blaster bolt into the Sith back, it falls directly into Marina's zone of control. Her barrage of unarmed blows connect along the Twi-leks face over and over, and he falls to his back still and unmoving...

Hask steps into the building's lift and punches the key to take him as high as it can. The bulky Trandoshan fidgets impatiently inside his armor; the last time he'd gotten to blow up an entire ship was in training. It was an almost-orgasmic eruption of fire that Hask is eagerly looking forward to seeing again.
Once the lift opens on the 3rd floor, Hask begins climbing towards the roof.

{{True to the End via '601}The Skirata-Antares Protocol was enacted when Emperor Fel made his first deal with Darth Krayt and his one Sith... As a contingency, the Imperial Knights met, and came up with a series of contingency plans and orders in case the One Sith became traitorous, as they did. With the death of Darth Krayt and the sudden explosion of the One Sith across the Galaxy, the contingencies were enacted and renamed after Imperial Knight Draco Antares and Skirata, a Clone Wars trooper who exposed some of Darth Sidious' darker dealings with the Clone army...

The third floor has been practically torn in half by the crash of the shuttle. Looking about, Hask sees a likely way up-the wing had managed to crush through the wall with in a manner leaving and easy way up with plenty of foot and handholds.
With a mighty leap, Hask hauls himself up and into the air, and makes his way up the fourth floor, and easily pulls his weight on to the roof.
{{True to the End via '601}This is an open and shut battle despite its size... The glassing of this planet would effectively do away with the One Sith once and for all...

Marina joins Derec in stripping the downed enemy soldiers of power packs; you can never have too many of those when you're operating without lines of supply. She listens in on the conversation between Jack and the Jedi officer as she does so, though she doesn't intrude on it; talking to officers is the sergeant's job.
She winces as Derec butts in; not so much at the disrespect for an officer as for the chewing-out she suspects the chief is about to deliver.

Untrained Knowledge (galactic lore) [roll0]
Edit- Hmm, that's a good roll, but looking at the book it turns out an untrained roll can get anything more than common knowledge (DC 10). I guess she might know something about the One Sith doctrine, at least, since they've been pretty prominent the last few decades.
