Re: Silent Tide [Kong Pathfinder]
The girl looks up from the body to meet Torrim's eyes. For someone raised in such an environment, she's a fair lass. A moment passes as she takes in the situation before she speaks. "They've gone from here, sir. I think they may have used that window." the girl says pointing one muddy finger to the window behind her with mixed emotions playing across her face. The window is shut, but it does appear as though it may have been forced open at one point.

Re: Silent Tide [Kong Pathfinder]
"My friends are going to come in, and give what aid they can. Just stay right here, they'll keep you safe. I go to find these men. Theodric! Let's go!"
Without another word, the drow leaps through the window, dashing out into the night in search of the men.

Theodric and Torrim -
When you reach the window you can see clearly that the window looks out over the water. As you both reach the window you hear a door slam open.

"Lookin' for Lubor, are ya?" the gruff man speaks in a gravelly and clearly ungracefully aged voice. "I don't know him personally, but last I knew he was at his shop. Heard an awful racket comin' from in there earlier...not entirely sure what it was. As he speaks the scent of spiced rum rolls out of his mouth and clings inside your nostrils.

Whoa, wait just a second! How does that NPC go before Theo? Both have a roll of 3. Theo has a Dex bonus of +2 and the NPC only a +1. So shouldn't Theo go before him?

Re: Silent Tide [Kong Pathfinder]
Dastria confidently strides over to Gartrand and the old man, smiles and bats her eyelashes at the old man. Bring on the charm. She plants an overly worried look on her face as she asks sweetly,
"Are you sure that's all you know? Is there anyone else who would know more? It sure did look messy there..." she trails off as her tone gets stronger. I don't want to appear too nice, don't wanna get messed around. She taps her foot impatiently.

No way to hit the ground, it overlooks the water entirely.

Re: Silent Tide [Kong Pathfinder]
Gartrand asks the man
At least what? And do you know where he might be if he's not in his shop?
-
Re: Silent Tide [Kong Pathfinder]
"Pardon?" the man replies to Gartrand's questioning. "Look, stranger. Talk aint cheap, especially 'round these parts."
-
Re: Silent Tide [Kong Pathfinder]
Dastria rolls her eyes and moves to the centre of the man's vision, unafraid to push Gartrand out the way a little. She says assertively, "Yes, we've got it. We might not have much time so let's cut to the chase. How much for the info? What do you want?"

Re: Silent Tide [Kong Pathfinder]
The large man looks down to meet Dastria's glare. With a slight chuckle he replies "Quick and to the point, eh? Can't say I've seen that in an elf lass before." He rolls his eyes back in thought and quickly comes back to Dastria's eyes with "I'll take 30 gold for it. Should be enough to at least get myself out of here and to another dock."

Re: Silent Tide [Kong Pathfinder]
Dastria rummages through her belongings from her trusty backpack and hands 30 gold to the old man. What does he even know about elves anyway? If he knew enough, he'd know not to mess around.
"To another dock you say?" Dastria questions, "Is the situation that dangerous? Well...tell us everything. All of it."

The pinkish beigey one is the girl, the grey one...well, you did just hear a door slam open behind you. Not a very nice lookin' chap.
The man counts out the gold handed to him by the cleric. "Five...ten, fifteen...alright, it's all here." His eyes dart about and he looks over his shoulders before leaning in closer to Dastria and placing the back of his right hand on the left side of his mouth as though to keep his voice from carrying far. "I can't tell you any of the details, but I know he's been caught up in some business with the Kortos Consortium. I can tell you two aren't from around here, so...to put it simply, the Consortium runs the show 'round here and they don't much like people showing ambition. Try to get some profit that doesn't leak into their hands and you're likely to be found lying face-down in the shallow waters. All that noise I heard...I can only imagine what was goin' on in there. Whatever went on, I'm sure it isn't a pretty sight." He looks over his shoulders again then back to Dastria "Look, is there anything else you need? I should be heading toward the city."

Re: Silent Tide [Kong Pathfinder]
Moving about and getting a better look at the source of the noise Torrim sees two large, rather unkempt fellows filling the doorway in the other corner of the room. The one nearest is brandishing a longsword, its blade appears to have been freshly bloodied. His dark eyes sit deep in his face under his low, sloped brow. Glints of light reflect off the steel studs in this thug's leather armor.
