Now I'm even more curious. What lead from this into padme-killing and the climatic duel?

"Its too late, I must destroy this planet to stop it from becoming the peace moon."
"No Annie! I cant let you do that!"
"You dare question me?!" /force choke
Obviously not those exact words, but I bet padme will oppose some grand plan of anakins and in order to stay in character, she will have to choke jim out.
Also the question of pete and his crappy damage. Yeah, like was said, he designed his character around a space fighting campaign, he is able to hack any computer, fly any ship, repair all sorts of damage, in a space ship battle, who cares about the guy with a light saber? Its the turbo lasers capable of wiping out villages on the ship that count! In that sort of campaign, pete would have been the strongest party member by an entire magnitude.

Honestly? I never got why this became such a meme... whatever. I like Ben's way of putting it more.

Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
And within the next week, Obi-wan will finally learn just how far Anakin has fallen. Should be interesting to see how Mr. Player-Character Separation plays that out.

Er... He's already playing up his player-character separation.
Ben already knows, recall. He was sitting at the table when it happened.

Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
I know that, I'm just wondering how Ben will portray Obi-Wan's realization that Anakin has gone evil. Now that Obi-Wan actually has compelling, in character evidence to act upon.

Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
Ben isn't the most role-playing character as far as I can recall. (Unlike e.g. Annie) I really don't expect too much from Obi-Wan, to be honest.
-
Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
Which is pretty funny, considering that Ewan McGregor was the only one acting well by this point. I expect Ben will go and emote at least a little when he discovers Anakin's evilness.

Well, no, but Annie is pretty much in a league of her own role-playing-wise. Ben is easily the second most role-playing character.

Well, that's a bit akward.

Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
Hm... dunno, felt like a rather empty update to me. Unless they are going for something with that this off-gane discussion is at best going to be awkward and unfunny...

Have we ever seen Ben struck dumb before? He seems to be the least likely of the group, aside from Sally, to be at loss for words.
Dumbfounded gibberish resulting from Jim's plans do not count.

Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
I just liked Pete calling out the GM on his exposition love.

"My brain just broke."
Granted, it was when he tried to think like Jim.

Won't it be fun when Anne gets Gunray? He really deserves it.

Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
Oh yes, Gunlay's death will be vely satisfying fol ar of us, I think... (Meh, that sounds poorly)
Aw man, always making fun of Jim's way of thinking... but I couldn't follow what they were talking about.

Being puppetmasters. Both of them have been playing other folks, pursuing their own agendas, and angling each time to improve their own position.

How does that even work? Bile makes for pretty good cleaning fluid and blood is an excellent cocktail ingredient if one feels like they don't get enough iron in their diet, but skulls as polish? I thought they only had a decorative use.
On topic: I've had a theory that the GM will change between the original and new trilogies for a while. Methinks Annie will take over to prove that she has learned from her mistakes how to GM properly - Vader will probably be the main villain, after all. The original trilogy does seem like a more thematically together campaign than the new movies, after all. This will handily allow the current GM, most probably named Lucas George or somesuch to play.

Ditto. I had that idea a while back, with Anni GMing the next trilogy but the GM being a player... I get the feeling such... uh... enthusiastic GMs make for poor players. But maybe I'm wrong. Or maybe that'll be a new direction for the jokes to go. We'll see.

Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
Im honestly curious how the political landscape will be setup in the second trilogy. Will Palpy be the figurehead ruler while Vadar takes command? Will Jims rebellion finally get started for inexplicable reasons because the empire is STILL a republic?

Hm... Brownies. But really, I against major eating while gaming... it's just a hassle and worst case you get everything ruined...
Still.... NOOOOO!!!!

Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
Its nice that Gunray calm about the fact that he's going to die in a few seconds.
I like a villain that goes out in style.

Re: Darths And Droids 2: Should've Gone to Naboo
Just a question (I dunno if this hasn't already been asked), but how much cooler would Episode 3 have been if the Trade Federation had actually turned Naboo into a molten slag planet? That would have been a much better explanation for why no one in Episodes 4-6 makes any mention of the planet: it isn't one.
