In 330, the kobold already announces the family reunions for Roy and Elan. For Roy it obviously would be his death and the consecutive meeting of Eugene, Mom, Little Brother and Grandfather, for Elan it (as it seems) would be meeting Nale and Tarquin (I'm pretty sure he did not just meant "reunions with the brother you already met").
I never noticed this very early prophecy of this stuff to come.

Elan meeting Nale, and Roy meeting Julia, both just a short time ahead.

Er... what? A traditional family reunion is "Let's get the whole family together so we can see each other again." Obviously everyone involved has already met each other. Elan meeting his estranged, homicidal brother for the first time in months (or more?) certainly fits the definition of a family reunion.
The oracle is most assuredly referring to the incident with Nale and Julia -- note the use of the term 'running late for'. Why would he say they're running late for things that aren't going to happen for another year, rather than the thing that starts off that night?

I just noticed, I don't think Z has ever killed anyone. In the dungeon, he stoned Celia while the other sylphs were murdered horribly. He did the same thing to Haley later. He completely missed the murder spree in Cliffport. It makes sense since this opposite in the OotS committed genocide.

I need to know if the Giant did this on purpose.
I am completely stunned beyond the capacity for emotive expression.

It's a rather interesting prospect. However, there was that time when Z tried to kill YukYuk with a phantasmal killer and then that time 48 strips later where he did succeed in murdering YukYuk with an empowered vitriolic sphere.

Xykon's phylactery hits the statue of Redcloak in the same eye that O'Chul removed.

What happens in the Summer?
Sorry. Wrong Thread. As you were.

Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
I never noticed the paragon-tier, single-tear-inducing mustache of this innkeeper!
-
Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
It is a vile slander to suggest the innkeeper has a 4ed mustache.

Well, it is a bit overpowered and probably weighs as much as the back of his head, thus providing an unnecessary degree of balance...

Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
re: Z not killing people
If one phrased it as "Z has never successfully killed anyone he's targeted" it could work.
Someone already noted it, but Z generally prefers going after saves while V likes to blow stuff up. I'd assume this is just an extension.

Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
Well, this is pretty embarrassing not to notice, but I was watching Star Wars (New Hope) again two nights ago, and I heard Tarkin give his line,
"Fear will keep the local systems in line. Fear of this battle station."
I never noticed that Xykon's non-spoilery line in Start of Darkness was a direct reference to this line.
:xykon: "Fear will keep the local kingdoms in line. Fear of this Snarl."

Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
I guess this is a hindsight thing now, but I have a better appreciation for comic #60, panel #5 with the fact that Nale's upset that his father tried to deny him control over the Empire of Blood.
The more you know right?

Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
Until today, I never noticed the hilarious poster in panel 4.

I just now noticed that the Tankard of gold at the end has "WWTD?" on it (though I'm not sure it's a T. it looks a bit like a P also)

Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
I just noticed that when Xykon takes back his crown in comic 434, you can see the rope Roy was wearing it on flying out behind him in the 4th panel.

In 338, panel 8, V foreshadows to the dealings with the black dragon.
-
Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
In panel 7 you can see the gem with Dorukan's and Lirian's souls in it.

That's an amulet.

That's an amulet.
Also that's Durkon's chest, not a wrist.

Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
Just noticed: Malack's "Hrrrm" sound of annoyance when the trap wall closed? He already did it earlier, when talking to Elan. And he also does it on the next page, when Qarr teleports out. Looks like a verbal tic of his.

On topic, however, I never noticed that Blackwing actually did carry out V's instructions (given in 659, carried out in 660) - just not how I was expecting.

Or maybe he's another white-faced individual

Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
This isn't exactly in the comic, but...
I never noticed that "The Order of the Stick" has the exact same number of syllables as "The Adam's Family". Guess how I'm singing that theme song from now on?

So Durkon is his actual other half?

But to be fair, V didn't target Girard with the Familicide, they were just collateral damage. Also, that spell doesn't blow stuff up; it's either automatic or has a save DC so high that it might as well be automatic.

Actually, it's floating off in front of Roy. The dragon is flying from right to left, so the rope should be drifting off to the right. Unless the wing-beat created some freak vortices that swept out in the wrong direction, we're probably looking at an art error. (Sorry to point that out, Rich!)
