I'm not sure.

If that is what he meant, that never happened in the arena anyway--he fed the intestines of the guy killed by Mr. Scruffy to a guard, he certainly never strangled anyone with their *own* guts!

Ah sorry my mistake. It was late and the word intestines popped out to me and my tired brain made the connection. Ignore me and carry on.

I've heard of scenery chewing, lampshades, jumping the shark, etc. long before I ever looked at tvtropes. Which I only even knew existed thanks to these forums, and which I've never looked at again (didn't find it interesting).
So I'm voting against you on that one, if you don't mind.

Yeah, I learnt the error of my ways over the last twelve pages. :smalltongue:

The Brontosaurus from #814 has an actual... eye... for an eye.

I do not get it.

Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
It confused me at first too. The other characters and creatures just have dots for eyes, compared to the brontosaurus, which has one with a little more detail.

Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
I just made a thread, actually - Roy's eyes are backwards.

Thog's are, too, since he's just Roy colored differently.

Its eye is more realistic than all other eyes, which are just dots/circles/ovals whatever. The brontosaurus' eye actualy has a pupil and is not entirely open, it's closed in the small way real eyes are closed.

Sound familiar? Although, yes, I know it's referring to Soon's idea vs. Miko's idea.
Oh wow... I never though of it like that... BRILLIANT!!

It's only Haley who's confused about what will hurt Sabine--Elan knows just fine.

Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
It was first sort of verified back in WaXP, when Rich called her a "succub[us]-type," then Cedrik confirmed that she's a succubus in #637.
Roy, Belkar, and Durkon probably learned that she was a demon when they picked up the wanted poster, and either Durkon gave it to Haley so now they all know, or Tarquin told Elan at some point off-panel.
Also, I don't think that's the brontosaurus's eye. There doesn't seem to be any border around it, so it's probably an eye marking or "indent," like the allosaurus. It has the standard beady yellow eyes.

I'm sure i'm not the only person to have mentioned this, but I didn't notice Trigak, even though I read Dungeon Crawling Fools once before, until I read Rich calling it out in the book on a re-read.

Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
In Strip 89, Durkon says he took off his armor, but when the invisibility is purged in Strip 90, his armor is on.

You're correct, as far as I can see -- I just blew it up, and there's no edge at all around this so-called "eye". And it's just a darker shade of the brontosaurus' general skin tone, too. So, unless the brontosaurus has an eye without an edge and whose white is dark greenish-grey, it looks like that's just a shaded hollow, and the eye itself is a round black dot with a small white dot of reflected light in it.

Re: Things you never noticed II: I never noticed the first thread
You do understand that an image on a webpage has a limit to the level of detail you can show. Small objects become blocky when you zoom in. What you describe i9s exactoly ho9w a properly drawn eye would appear.
I'm sure it will be more obvious when it comes out on paper. That has a higher resolution and allows much finer detail.

No outline at all and a dark grey-green "white" is exactly how a properly drawn eye would appear? :smallconfused:

If you only have 9 or so pixels to work with, yes. The green cornea may also be due in part to aliasing. On the other hand, perhaps brontosaurs have naturally yellow-green corneas.

Okay, whatever. You have your opinion, and I have mine. It's no skin off my nose, though your slightly patronizing tone in the first response is a trifle annoying. "You do understand" was pretty much unnecessary, IMO, other than as an attempt to put me in my place, since your statement would have been perfectly clear without it.

The blade of Elan's rapier changes colors between here and here. It goes from black to gray - somehow, an art upgrade slipped by and Elan didn't comment on it.
