"Nein. I'm working on it, though." Wolfgang shrugs. "It would be much easier if I could get a lab set up somewhere."
"I must admit, I think I find the other virtues more agreeable." Bellan says after a moment, smiling charitably. "I follow them myself."
[Garden]
"Hm, you could probably get a place in Inside, but I guess you need some money for that?" Sakura couldn't possibly know how much money buying or renting a place takes. She has very little concept of the worth of money.
[Garden]
"I would need quite a bit of money, which is the root of my small problem." Wolfgang looks at the table. "I bet I could find a place I could work for that has a lab. I can't be the only scientist here."
[Garden]
Sakura nods. "You're probably right. There are all kinds of people here." Then something occurs to her. "Well, the place I live at and my boyfriend works at has a lab I think. It's called Watchtower. Their job is to protect the world from threats. You even get a room if you join up, and get paid."
[Garden]
"Watchtower, you say?" Suddenly, Wolfgang looks very interested. "That's one of the organizations, isn't it? I may just have to consider it. Thank you for the information."
[Garden]
"Yeah, no problem. I guess I'll see you there then." Except I have no clue where this is on her timeline in relation to the wedding. Oh well.
[Garden]
Just before the trip?
"Yes, I think so." Wolfgang looks at his empty tea cup. "I should probably get going, I need to find a place to sleep. Auf wiedersehen, Sakura. And Sarget," he adds as he waves to them.
[Garden]
Perhaps. It's not really important in the end.
"See ya later." Sakura gives him a wave, and Sarget bids him farewell as well. After he's gone Sakura returns to her place near Sarget and continues drinking her tea.
[Garden]
Into the teahouse steps a dark-skinned, pointy-eared man with white hair set in a ponytail. Tired red eyes, with a noticeable scar going through one, survey the restaurant. The drow quietly steps forward and orders a cup of herbal tea, but turns away from the chairs and tables. Instead, he heads to the doors inside the teahouse that lead to the garden.
Merrak takes a sip of his tea while inspecting the garden. He really doesn't see the beauty his surface cousins might, but at least appreciates the peace and quiet. He immediately notices Sakura and, more importantly, Sarget, but does not approach them. Their last meeting ended in some stabbing and burning and shooting.
Oh, right. I forgot about that. <.<
Rot comes out of deadtime and looks around the teahouse. The vampire is now feeling and looks rather anxious and panicked, because he now feels the urge to feed but cannot bring himself to any violent thoughts. He gathers his cape around him and strides for the door.
Saul raises a slight eyebrow. "While that may be a way to do things with other religions around here, that is not something we encourage. Becoming a member means devoting your life to Terenti and his teachings. It means repenting and saving your soul for eternity. Now, we do encourage exploring our teachings before becoming a member. To that end, you may have this book if you'd like." Saul will slide his big book of the Holy Word of Terenti towards Bellan.
And... I'll respond to Rot leaving next post. Yeah... >>

It doesn't take too long for Sakura to notice Merrak. And recognize him too. Hard to forget their last meeting. She suddenly feels rather fearful, and her eyes dart from side to side nervously. Sarget notes him as well... and watches. He wouldn't harm Sakura again.
[Garden]
Merrak takes a sip of tea, trying to ignore Sakura's nervousness and Sarget's staring... eyes? But with his super-senses, this is a bit hard, and it bothers him a bit. Not the peace and quiet he was expecting.
The drow sighs and turns his head to fully acknowledge their presence. He gives a little and hopefully reassuring wave before taking yet another sip of his tea.
The book in a nutshell is pretty much what he's already gone over. Repent the sins by following the virtues. There is another part though, near the end, about a cleansing. He'll have to read more closely once he gets there.
Saul hands Bellan a card. "We don't have a building set up or anything, so when you need to find me, here's my card." It's blank, but when Bellan wants to find Saul, it'll show Saul's exact location! How helpful!
"Now if you'll excuse me, life-or-death business has come up that acquires my immediate attention. It was a pleasure meeting you." Saul will stand and bow to Bellan, listening to his reply, before grabbing his sake bottle and heading towards the door to follow Rot.

Sakura does seem a bit confused by the friendliness of the wave. He did stab her, so the confusion is most definitely warranted. He should totally come over and talk to her.
[Garden]
Merrak sighs again and slowly approaches Sakura. He tries to seem as aggressiveness and nonthreatening as possible in his posture and attitude. Which is very easy with the non-violence field over the teahouse.
"Sakura?"
He eyes her stomach. Huh. She's pregnant? :smallconfused:
[Restaurant]
Rot goes outside to Inside, then. :smalltongue:
[Garden]
It's not that obvious that she's pregnant as of yet, but the weight gain and maternity clothes definitely suggest it. Seeing where he's looking, the dryad folds her hands over her stomach.
"Um, hi Merrak." She says nervously.
[Garden]
Ah, but Merrak is a crazy prepared drow. He is able to figure out from the clothes and weight, even if it is slight. He seems quite uncomfortable as well.
"I suppose I should... apologize for what I did to you. I needed a way to keep the half-dragon from attacking me, and, well... There was adequate medical attention on hand, I hope?"
The drow really doesn't feel much remorse about stabbing her or concern for her well being, but this is the "proper" thing to do, is it not?
[Garden]
Sakura looks up at his face in surprise. "Oh..." That was unexpected. "Yeah, there was. My leg was okay." Could have been permanently damaged if not for magic healing though. Not to mention it hurt. A lot.
"Well... I forgive you." She gives him a small, reassuring smile. Sakura is far too nice and forgiving for her own good. :smallannoyed:
[Garden]
Merrak knew Watchtower had magical healing, so he wasn't worried about doing any series harm to her. And the pain she went through was quite acceptable if it meant his escape. :smalltongue:
He seems quite surprised that she forgives him. The drow has had little interaction with saps, I mean, er, nice and trusting people.
"Thank you."
The drow then turns to Sarget, aware that the tree is sapient and was quite angry when he stabbed Sakura.
"And you?"
[Garden]
"I hold no ill will." Sarget says almost immediately. "Sakura's forgiveness is enough for me." There's something to suggest that he not try anything like that again. Sarget is very protective of Sakura.
[Garden]
Merrak noticed.
The drow nods, and forces a smile onto his face.
"Well, good, now that that's over with..."
He glances at Sakura's stomach.
"Are congratulations in order?" :smallconfused:
[Garden]
((By the way, I decided that size three font was ridiculous for Sarget. :smalltongue:))
"Oh, yes actually. Adir's the father." Her smile grows a bit just talking about it. Sakura is rather happy about the baby, despite the whole thing being a surprise. Of course, she's only happy like this when she's not stressed about it.
[Garden]
((But size three font is the best font! :smallfrown:))
"Mm."
Ah, yes. The guy who shot him. Merrak is not pleased, but doesn't show it.
"And what is happening in Watchtower? Any apocalypses lately, or cults?"
He seems a wee bit bitter about the cults. :smalltongue:
