Re: Questionable Content 4: Attack of the 60-Inch AnthroPC
Anyone else mistake Potter for Dora? :smallconfused:

Re: Questionable Content 4: Attack of the 60-Inch AnthroPC
Yeah, lets see if marten gets lucky, wusses out, gets puked on, or gets angsty. And yes, she does look like dora. Im hoping for puke just because it would be an amusing callback, and possibly even a nice escalation. He has been puked on, puked on then headbutted in the groin by a girl passing out, and im curious to see where it can go from here. "Warning, warning! Intruder in security members quarters has just rendered occupant unconscious, RELEASE THE HUNTER KILLERS!"

I don't think he's drunk at all. Which considering she IS... I kinda hope they don't.

All of the above, in that order.

Well, we know that he'll get angsty. We're just not sure about the rest of it.

Re: Questionable Content 4: Attack of the 60-Inch AnthroPC
In all seriousness, my guess is she tries to make a move but he refuses because she is hammered. He has never been the type to take advantage of very drunk women before, and I doubt he is about to start now. Even if she IS doras twin sister.

Re: Questionable Content 4: Attack of the 60-Inch AnthroPC
I definitely hope that they don't, given how drunk she is. Because, you know, that would be considered rape.

Okay, I don't think she's that drunk.

Re: Questionable Content 4: Attack of the 60-Inch AnthroPC
Well it's not about how drunk it's more about whether one is at all or isn't.
It's one of those kerfluffle shaped things.
-
Re: Questionable Content 4: Attack of the 60-Inch AnthroPC
Well, the pushy girl is Marten's type, so a military chick could be his thing. I'm shipping. What to call them, though? Marter? Potten? Retter? Poteed?
No good shipnames here, I'll wait until I know her given name.

Meh... slightly drunk chicks are okay... I think she can take it. If here even is something going to happen... though it seems to be building up to it. But my guess is Marten will chicken out because of remembering Padma.

Re: Questionable Content 4: Attack of the 60-Inch AnthroPC
The last comic made me think Lt. Potter was interested in Marten and wanted to get him alone, but now I'm thinking she moreso just figured he's the one most like-minded as her on the space station right now and perhaps wants to know how Hanners is doing these days. The partner she got forcefully seperated from could be her current boyfriend for all we know, though it's of course possible it's an ex or a fling, since that experience might not have been too nice for him either.
Then again, she now knows Marten isn't up to anything romantically with Hanners, so if it's the latter option with the partner she had back then, she might go for him. Especially since she's, y'know, a little bit drunk.
If anything comes of it though, it'll crash like a spaceship.

Re: Questionable Content 4: Attack of the 60-Inch AnthroPC
Well then, Martin certainly isn't the one on the offensive here. If any space makeouts occur, I hope it's Station that breaks it up and not the hunter-killer robots...

I sadly expect any fireworks to turn into deorbiting satellites.
I think I'm actually gonna be unhappy when QC goes back to Earth. The space storyline has been quite refreshing, and I've even forgotten how disgusted I've been with Marigold, much to Jeph's credit.

Re: Questionable Content 4: Attack of the 60-Inch AnthroPC
Granted, she's military and he's Martin, she could take anything he dished out and return it in spades. Pretty much a given, really.
I'm now imagining conga-dancing Hunter-Killers....

He shoots! He DOES NOT SCORE!
Thank goodness.

Re: Questionable Content 4: Attack of the 60-Inch AnthroPC
I'm glad he tried - it's always nice to see Marten being a at least a bit assertive - but I'm equally glad he got shot down. Hoefully he won't be angsting about it.

First, Martin Angsts about getting shot down by the Space Soldier.
Then, He Angsts about how easily he Angsts about things.
Alternatively, he does NOT Angst. But, sine Angst is such a big part of his identity. Feeling that, without his ability to become miserable after the slightest failure, he's lost part of who he really was. This causes him to Angst, which makes him feel better.
Then he realizes that his identity is tied up with his misery, which makes him angst again.

I dunno, I wouldn't really qualify his attempts as "shooting."

To me, this is just more of the same. Marten's actions are determined by the woman who is standing closest to him. If a woman tells him to pursue romance, he does. If a woman tells him to break up with her, he does. If a woman tells him to do unskilled work at a college library despite having a degree, he does. If a woman tells him to go to SPAAAAAACE, he does. I'm not saying that those are bad decisions, just that I think that playing in the band is the only decision that he ever made for the purpose of satisfying himself instead of making a woman happy, and he doesn't play in the band a lot, y'know?

Heh, enjoy, its one hell of a ride. Its especially enjoyable as he keep hitting these sudden art change shocks. He makes a few tweaks here and there then suddenly BAM! Big difference out of left field.

Yeah, shooting usually implies you're at least aiming at something. Marten just sort of fires randomly and hopes he picked the right direction.

Abbie and Elliott? I wonder if Jeph put that in there to lead us towards that, but maybe not...

I... I don't think he even does that much, to be honest... Maybe wanders near a basketball court once in a blue moon...

I can't see 2155 :smallconfused: it's not loading

Re: Questionable Content 4: Attack of the 60-Inch AnthroPC
So if Marten's only assertive when a woman tells him to, is that anti-assertive or meta-assertive?
-
Re: Questionable Content 4: Attack of the 60-Inch AnthroPC
Hey, Marten, you're in free-fall! You totally can bench-press her one-handed!

I'm not sure what's going on with that. By my count, 2154 is Thursday's comic anyway. O.o
